Mystery Solved!

Hi there blog friends – I love it that you all like to converse!  As always I get top notch feedback from you all – it’s way better than phone-a-friend!  I hope I didnt’ mislead you yesterday . . . for the envelope I was showing I made a tiny note that the addresses were photoshopped out.  It might have been too small to catch your eyes as you were skimming.  So many of you wondered how it was delivered without an address.  I could say that I have a telepathic mailman but I don’t think I’ll go that far.  Whew!!  Mystery Solved.

For today, I thought I would take a second to catch on the news and some repeat questions I get all the time. This seems to be the best way to address them rather than try to catch all the emails…

Are you ready to make some bows??? Yes, Becca’s Peg Bow Maker is shipping!!! In the frenzy some of you may have missed that this is a pre-order and the dates listed on the website for anticipated shipping were February 15 – 22nd. I’m tickled to say that the first batch was waiting for the Holiday to pass on Monday and were picked up on Tuesday with another batch heading out on Wednesday of this week.  For those of you who sent a copy of your receipt and were one of the first 100, your card will be included in your shipment instead of coming separately.  I was so thankful that Our Daily Bread Designs wanted to go ahead and take care of getting that to you.  Moreover, I’m so thankful that you all have been so very patient while waiting for the ship date!  Thank you – I really mean it. I’d love to know you are getting them, so pop in a leave a comment that you got some happy mail, okay?

Want one?  They are an in stock item over at Our Daily Bread Designs!  Just click the Buy Now link on my right hand side bar and it will take you right to the information page that displays all the pertinent information, price, specifications and availability as well as the email address to direct any purchase questions! :-)

If you didn’t get a card, I have good news!  Sometime within the next two weeks I’ll be uploading the rest of the cards I have stashed here into the Etsy store I’ve been promising to bring online for the last year.  As awful as it is to admit, I think I was hoarding the cards and it’s time to let go.  So here’s the deal, the cards will go up in small batches of a hand full at a time and I won’t be making an announcement – it will be first come, first served.  If there’s something you’d really like to have, you may want to pop in for a look see – the link to the store will be going on the right hand side of the blog.  As time allows, I’ll also have some other items for sale directly from my blog.

Several of you have asked me to do a tutorial about the stick pins.  Yes, it is going to happen but I’ve been sneakily preparing.  Since so many have asked, I surely want to do it right and I want it to be a nice source of information for you!  So bear with me while I get that in order.

I hope you found a tidbit that you were looking for here!!   I hope you find some time for a crafty break today – I’ll see you soon!!

When you make your stick pins, what do you use on the bottom to cover the sharp end? I would like to know where you order them from. Thanks. I really enjoy clicking on your blog just about every day. VaudeneReplyCancel

I made several of your envelopes, making both patterns. I think I’ll use it as a CARD, having it plain on the inside for stamping/messages and make an envelope for the “envelope” so I can mail it out. I love the flap box as well. It took a bit, but I’ve made several now and they get easier. Thank you for your great work! I’ve learned so much from you!!!ReplyCancel

Becca have you any idea whether the bow maker will come to the UK?

I am actually going to the States at the end of march, so another question would be, is it very heavy, i.e how easily will it fit into a suitcase or hand luggage?

Sorry for more questions lol, when you have just given us so much info anyway. Thanks a lot for that anyway!ReplyCancel

It all sounds so terrific! As I’ve mentioned before, I made a bow maker from your tutorial ages ago and I love it! I have decorated it with papers (no bows) and meaningful sayings. It has become a very personalized and special tool. I will be watching for those Etsy Shop opportunities. Still have to fill my Wall of Fame! You appear to be going in such a wonderful direction right now; an inspiration in many ways that go far beyond paper crafting. I pray for your continued success and my continuing ability to learn from you.ReplyCancel

Whaaaa! I didn’t get a shipping notice yet :'( Maybe tomorrow. Sigh.
But I am sooo excited about all of these wonderful plans you have going on. No moss growing on your little feet, girl. I’m secretly glad you didn’t put your cards up on Ebay and have us bid for them. The prices would skyrocket with us all outbidding each other to try to get our favorites! Etsy sounds much more accessible. Anyway, WAY TO GO BECCA!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!ReplyCancel

I caught the PS comment. But funny thing is when I lived in northern NH in a very small town, I got mail addressed with my name and the town and zip code. The town was so small that the mailman new everyone. So he just delivered it. When I first moved back to SC, they sebt my mail back many times, because it wasn’t addressed properly .In the beginning I was a bit miffed about it. It took me a while to adjust. Thanks for the updates.

    Well Becca
I think the only thing I can say today is this: everything you do seems to be to the blessing of others, so I hope and pray these new ventures are for you, a blessing in return.
My fathers favourite hymn was The Lords my Shepherd (we played it at his funeral); well in the chorus it says: ‘Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days, all the days of my life’.
Take all the goodness and mercy that is yours today and always as you deserve to reap the benefits of all the kindnesses you show.
    Hugs Linda

Hi Becca I received my bow maker today and I am so excited! I wanted to thank you very much for the gorgeous card that was packed in with my bow maker. I will cherish it forever thank you so very much. I also wanted to tell you that my bowmaker was very easy to put together but my pegs that I use to tie the bow are to big for the holes. I can fix that no problem but I thought that I should let you know. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to get a bow made. Your awesome thank you!ReplyCancel
