Clean and Simple Magnolia-licious Blog Hop

Good morning!  What a treat we have today with a Clean and Simple Blog Hop by the Magnolia-licious Design Team!  Oh what a challenge this was – I had quite the time getting my mind wrapped around "Clean and Simple".  I mean, how can a card be finished without layers and layers and ribbon and bling and more layers and flowers and did I say more layers?  I gues that every once in a while folks want something easy, so here we go.   Now if you arrived here from Kerry Donovan Casey’s Blog (link is also in my side bar) then you are in the right place, if not just start HERE.  When you leave, you’ll be jumping over to visit Cheryl Rowley (link is also in my side bar) and you can find her HERE.  So lets get started!  I created a card and Recipe Notebook Ensemble using stamps from the A Little Yummy for my Tummy Collection.

Since this months challenge was a theme of red, white and black, I kept to the theme.  Number 141, Chef Edwin and #391, Chef Tilda sit on top of  #1411 Recipe Card on my Recipe Notebook.    For the card, Chef Edwin and Chef Tilda sit on top of a darling #516 Rolling Pin.  The images are all colored with Copic Markers and again, keeping with the theme, Edwin and Tilda’s uniforms are white and all the trim is red.  Can’t you tell, I love that color combo!!  The letters that spell "Recipe" are die cuts from my stash and the little red pearls are from Michaels.  When you open the notebook there’s a little pocket inside to hold notes and such.

For the matching card I kept things simple as well.  Just a Spellbinders Curved Rectangles die with the little Chefs sitting on top.  The rolling pin is perfect to sit on – for this one I had to combine two rolling pins to make it wide enough for both but the seam is hidden behind Chef Edwin’s leg.

Well that’s all for me this morning.  I got a real kick out of coloring and cutting out these sweet little cooks.  Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by.  Don’t forget to check out all the Magnolia goodness the rest of the Design Team has in store!
