A Beautiful Way

Don’t forget, you have until Tuesday, June 7th to leave a comment for the Girls Paperie Blog Candy – you can click —–>HERE to get to the correct post :-)

Hi there blog friends, the day got away from me, but at least there was a sweet diversion.  My sister called me and we did a little bit of catching up and my daughter was home.  I am still working on some deadlines but I guess I always post at odd hours.  At any rate, I took a moment to finish up a card that I started earlier.  I’m thankful to be adding a baby card to my stash and in reality I need a couple more.  Is it just me or is it easier to do them ahead of time instead of an hour before the shower?  The sentiment I’m using is a new one from Quietfire Design called A Baby is Such a Beautiful Way; it’s simply precious.  You know I’m partial to dressy, elegant cards and that sentiment surely fits the bill.

I’m using a MS Punch for the border and corners and I defaulted to those lovely Girls Paperie papers.  After I punched the border I thought it would be a shame to mount it on cardstock and lose some of the loveliness of the pattern so instead I adhered a card base to the back that is longer in the back than it is in the front.  It gives the illusion that it’s floating.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Quietfire Design – A Baby is a Beautiful Way
Paper: Xpedx Brilliant White Cardstock, The Girls Paperies
Ink: Colorbox Chalk – Pink Pastel
Accessories:  MS Punch, Pearls, Recollection Rose, Button,  Recollection Resin Rose, Hand dyed Rose Seam Binding, Pink Corsage Pins

Hard to believe June is already here, but it is.  Yikes it’s one of the busiest months in the year for me and I already know it’s gonna get crazy.  Hang in there, okay?  See you soon!

There you go again! Beautiful! Your mind is like a beautifully organized, well maintained museum of inticate lace, florals, ribbons, bows, words, and delicate colors. I look forward each day to seeing what is the newest! Your videos are wonderful. I checked out one last night about pearls…one also on the flag and the festive banner. Those accordian folded items are hard to adhere. They are tricky! They like to “spring” back into their original flat shape! (LOL) Thanks!ReplyCancel
