Hi there sweet blog friends! (Just a quick note – my clear case blog candy ends at midnight CST so you still have a hand full of hours to get your comment in on this post – HERE). Welcome back to day Two of Waltzingmouse Stamps September 2014 Release previews. Claire, the owner of Waltzingmouse Stamps, said in her blog post yesterday that she was in the cute mode for her month of designing and wow was she right! The snowman I’m showing today is absolutely adorable and a welcome switch from the classic elegant style that I’m so drawn to. So I hope you’ll enjoy this intermission of whimsy and know that next week I’ll be back with some sweet elegant designs. By the way, the previews all lead up to release day which is Sunday, September 28th – at which time all of the products we’re showing will be available to see in full and purchase on the Waltzingmouse Stamps website.
For my 5-3/8″ x 7-1/2″ card today, I’m using Frosty In the Meadow and once I saw him, I knew that this new Spellbinders Flurries die template would make an excellent backdrop. I created a see through card by cutting the snowflake background directly into my card base and by lining the inside with design paper. See how the snowflakes pop? I couldn’t resist putting pearls on each snowflake. Just to give a little bit of dimension I die cut a frame using Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics A #6 and Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics B #6. And again, just so that things weren’t too plain I added a tiny border at the top using Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One. I have to tell you I rarely pull out my Copic Markers because it takes me forever to color things up (I’m a remedial colorer) but this was some of the easiest coloring I’ve ever done. I used two markers on the scarf (BG70 and BG72), an orange nose (YR12) and two colors on the birds (R46 and R56)! I hand cut the small pennant my sentiment is stamped on. Oh, by the way, notice how neatly the snowman and the little birdies are trimmed around? Yes, that’s because there are SVG files available for each of the stamps sets we’re showing this week. If you have a digital cutter you simply load, cut the shapes and stamp directly on them so there’s no fussy cutting involved. If you love fussy cutting, no worries because the images are very smooth and simple. I’m so delighted that I got to break out the box today – it’s a little breath of fresh (winter) air . . .

I am absolutely in love!! It’s funny because my “normal” style is like yours…although here and there I like whimsical but it has to be really cute for me to like it. THIS, I love! I will have to purchase these supplies. This is too adorable to pass up. Keep ’em coming Becca! You are wonderful!
Oh my goodness! How cute is that……..?!

Oh my is this cute or is it cute? Oh yeah it is definitely cute ha ha ha. I love it Becca, sooo cute and soft as a snowman should be, and the whole card is gorgeous as always.

This is sooooo cute. I love snowman they just melt my heart. Lovely card.
I think you should give your “cute” snowman a name. He is cute, cute, cute!! I love the background color and how u used the copic pens and your coloring of the snowman and bird. I love your cards whatever style you use – they are always fantastic!
Wow! Everything about your sweet snowman card is just perfect! I love the colourscheme, the snowflake flurry die cut background with the added pearls, the sentiment and of course the cute snowman!
Your cards are always gorgeous, but I think that this one has to be one of my all time favourites Becca.
Love the card.
Absolutely beautiful! I love the snowflake flurry behind the snowman and those sweet cardinals too! Lovely work.
Oh my goodness, the snowman card is adorable!!!!
Leave it to YOU dear Becca to put pearl buttons on a snowman! He is so whimsical but still remains classic Becca style with his “bling”! Only one word for him = ADORABLE!
I love the whimsy snowman. Everything about your card is perfect. And need I say adorable, too?
I love this card. The snowflakes and the snowman are great.
Such a sweet card….and a lovely color combo…
Love this stamp set – how fun! Thanks for showing it to us. Cute card.
Small hint about copic markers – you can easily use them to color pearl and clear sparkly embellishments. That way they always match….my mind went to light blue or even black on the coal buttons, and light blue clear sparklies on the snowflakes.
Thanks again – love this!
Good evening Becca,
Frosty is surely a wonderful name for such a snowman, and the background is perfect.
I really enjoy colouring but sometimes it’s nice to have something easier.
Thank you xx
This is so cute.
How cute Becca, loving it .
Take Care .

Hi Becca. Oh, this card is so cute : ) Snowmen are my favourite Christmas characters, my family tease me that I have an addiction to them as every year I just have to buy more in every shape and size : ) Good luck to everyone in the giveaway. Take care.

A real nip in the air today Autumn is here !
I am looking forward to buying some of Claire’s new Dies too !,
Lovely card and such a cute snowman Becca!
Well I dont normally like cute cards – but I love this! That background die is lovely – I too would not be able to resist pearling it up, When I started card making I was initially attracted to blingy/sparkly gems but that soon changed to pearls – I am an incurable pearlaholic although I still like the odd bit of bling – happy weekend and thanks for sharing.
Awe…what a sweet carde. Love the background.
