The Heart of a Friend

Blog friends, have you been checking out my blog candy? Even if you don’t want to participate in the Spot the Difference part, you can still play – simply leave a comment on post to you get to when you click HERE, until July 6th to be in the running for the prizes in the picture. Okay, so you know on my card yesterday I created a frame by lining up an Anywhere punch . . . well since I had them out I decided to make another card. The lining up thing has simply clicked with me. I have errands to run today but hope to have a Becca Bit on lining those punches up, later today.

I uploaded something to one of my galleries recently and when looking at the “big picture” of all my stuff, it hit me . . . everything is pink and beige.  Well, it is what it is, but I felt a little bit guilty about that.  I think I’m in a vintage/shabby chic phase that I don’t necessarily want to fall out of, but what about the other colors.  Well today, I decided let’s add another color along with the pink and beige.  Works for me!

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Serendipity – And the Song
Paper: The Paper Company, The Girls Paperie, Digital Paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Accessories: Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two, Buttons, Twine, Seam Binding, Pearl Picks, Lace

What a glorious day!  I’m off now and then back in the studio for some catch up work.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.

So what’s wrong with pink and beige? :) You cards are always beautiful no matter the color combos you use. You should use colors that please YOU. Blue is my favorite color but I make a lot of pink cards because it seems to be the favortie color of the people I make them for. When I make them for my own pleasure I use blues. This card is stunning LOVE the blue hearts The Girls Paperie PP goes perfectly with it, as does the lace, bow and stick pins.

Love those all-over-the-page punches, and I’m looking forward to the tutorial on how to exactly line them up. (BTW, the sidebar with the hearts is the difference I notice from the last card! Great touch too). I have been buying those punches, but not really using, because I can’t get them aligned properly so that the effect looks ‘even’. TFS the beautiful card. Wish I could combine colors as you do! Have a great day running errands, stay cool. Be safe.ReplyCancel

Beautiful card – as usual. You are so talented with your punches – your alignment is always so perfect! Food today – PIZZA – gourmet veggie is so yummy and since it’s veggies, I tell myself it’s good for me!ReplyCancel

Beautiful! Your creativity never ceases to amaze me!! Oh and btw….I made a flower loom after watching your tutorial and now my aunt wants me to make one for her and to show her how to use it. I will make it for her this week but I am referring her to your tutorial so she can become a fan of yours too! Thank you for constantly inspiring me.ReplyCancel
