Summer Notes – Magnolia-licious Blog Hop

Welcome to the first Magnolia-licious Blog Hop – Summer Notes.  Why is it called Summer Notes?  We’ve all made these adorable little Sticky Note Holders to celebrate the occasion.  For me, this is my first opportunity to join the Magnolia-licious Design Team and what a wonderful place to jump in!!    Now if you have come to me because you just left Cheryl Rowley, then you are in the right place.  If not, you can start the hop with Suzanne Dean at Scrapbitz and you’ll eventually get back to me!

I used #201 Tilda Sitting with Hair Bow.  Oh, the choices we have to make!!  I couldn’t decide how I wanted to color her – copics?  colored pencils?  reinkers?  So, I settled with Tombow markers and a nearly dry aquapainter.   I love the wide open spaces on these adorable creatures.  Once done I cut her out with an exacto knife.  She is perched on the edge of a medallion cut with Spellbinders Pinking Circles and Spellbinders Standard Circles.  The lattice work on the inside is done with a Lace’ template (retired).   I tied on a sweet silk ribbon and tiny pearls around the edges.  Don’t you want to make one?

This cute little Sticky Note Holder was shared courtesy of Brigett Owens, and you can find it HERE.   I kept it simple and stocked the gift box full of three extra refill post it pads for when the holder is empty.  Even with the three extra refills, the pad holder will fit inside as well!  There is an opportunity for you to make one and win three Magnolia stamps of your choice.  All you have to do is upload a link of your Sticky Note Holder to the Magnolia-licous Highlites Blog to be entered to win.

Okay, next stop on the way is Kerry Donovan-Casey at Three Clovers Design – wait until you see what Kerry has in store for you!!
