If you all remember last month, it was my debut on the Splitcoaststampers Design Team, the Dirty Dozen. What a month!! Well again, it’s almost the 15th and that means that the next Dirty Dozen gallery will be opening!! I wanted to share a little sneak peek of a card that will be in the gallery!
If you are not familiar with Splitcoaststampers or the Dirty Dozen please check it out HERE. Splitcoaststampers is a large stamping community that harbors a wealth of information. The Dirty Dozen is a set of 12 designers who produce elite projects that are shown in a special gallery exclusively available to The Fan Club. On the 15th of each month a new gallery is revealed to those who have a membership in the Fan Club. Now this isn’t a card I can post here, but if you are a member of the gallery, it will be available for you to see at 12:01am on February 15th in the Splitcoast Fan Club Gallery.
I leave you today with a small tip to thank you for looking in on me today! When I pulled this card together it was missing something. I’m a beader also and have found that things you use for jewelry make excellent embellishments for cards. The element that you see in this sneak peek is a toggle! Isn’t that just beautiful? I simply used a brad to attach it to my card then put a gold half bead in the center! If you look back through my cards on this blog from the beginning – you’ll find little surprises like that peppered everywhere – I love jewelry embellishments and have been using them for quite some time. This particular embellishment I found at Joann’s and it is from a jewelry line called Manor House.
As always, thanks for stopping by!!
Ahhh Miss Becca, I am thinking should i join this fan club? I want to see this card! The sneak peek is drawing me in :) I am loving the colors and I so want to see the whole card!
Such a tease you are. :-) I’m going to have to get my beading supplies out of storage now. :-)
I want to see it all!
you can use beads and crystals on your cards too!
When I stop in at Michaels or Joanns, I usually look at all the pretties in the jewelry-making department. Hopefully, when I get to see your full card, I’ll finally see a way to actually use those pretties on a card!
Hi Becca, color me intrigued! I’ve been thinking about joining the fan club for some time now … and here’s another good reason why! I can’t wait to see the whole card! ~Sherry
Hi Becca The inspirations you give me are marvellous!!! Ther are times I wished I lived in the U.S.A just to be able to purchase some of the items you use., they are just beautiful. We are way behind you here in the U.K on the manufacture of the items you have. I love the wizard dies you use and stamps and ribbons I have managed to purchase several items via America and awaiting patiently for the latest ones to come to this country. The jewellery embellishments you have used on your sneak preview I have not seen any in this country that are anything like them yet! But once again you have got me looking for something else lol. You will keep me poor. Please dont stop though, Ilook forward to receiving your e-mails daily.
Hugs and God be with you
How creative you are! I can’t wait to see the entire card! I have what I call my “treasure chest” where broken pieces of jewelry, embellishments cut from worn out clothes, and any other do-dad I can find, goes in to add just the perfect touch to a card or layout. It’s really amazing what you can come up with when you think outside the box!
Oh, I love the sneak peek! I can’t wait until I can see your card in the SCS Fan Club tomorrow!
Good evening, Becca. I must say this looks so very interesting and the colour combination is lovely. I have just begun buying little jewellry findings and embellishments for use on my cards too.
I can’t wait for tomorrow. Your cards are so pretty.
Love your use of jewelry on cards – makes them even more special for the recipient.
I always look forward to your posts. Thanks for the tip on your upcoming card. That is awesome that you are on the Dirty Dozen – good choice on their part to include you!
YAY!!!! I can’t wait for tomorrow to see it! You do beautiful work.
A friend just introduced me to your blog last week. I definitely RSS feed you to my Google Reader.
Your work is very inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing.
Geez, what a bummer, I want to see the rest of the card. I can’t afford to pay the membership fee for the fan club. However, I have faith that you will continue to dazzle me with other projects right here on your blog!
You should get a percentage of the Splitcoast profit for causing so many people to join the fan club! I love your artwork and if there is a place I can see more of it, I’ll pay the subscription fee.
God’s continued blessings!
Love the jewelry embellie, and I know your card is darling…as are all of the cards and the variety of projects I have seen of yours!
Wow…what a great use for all of the “jewels” that I have left over from my girls and grandaughter…wonderful idea!
I’ll certainly have to check out this fan club however; I didn’t know that one had to pay for it. I will check it out.
such sweet embellishment, I need to check out the jewelry isle a little more I think :)
Uh oh!! I am in trouble! As a scrapper I used to “frequent” the hardware aisles at Lowe’s and Home Depot looking for out of the ordinary items for my pages. Now I will have to expand the aisles I go down at the local craft stores! If you ever have the opportunity to visit a “new concept” Michael’s store, you will just be amazed at the beading section!
I love the jewelry embellishment. I too love to use little bits & pieces of things I already have from earlier projects.
Thanks for the itsy bitsy sneak peek!
I looked for your card yesterday! Amazing job. It came together perfectly.
You certainly are a crafty one!! Thanks for sharing, Sandy
I have chairs like that –we bought them for a shower favor then the theme changed. Now I have another idea on what to do with them–thanks–I am going to grab some more this weekend!!!
