Sneak Peek!!

If you all remember last month, it was my debut on the Splitcoaststampers Design Team, the Dirty Dozen.  What a month!!  Well again, it’s almost the 15th and that means that the next Dirty Dozen gallery will be opening!!  I wanted to share a little sneak peek of a card that will be in the gallery!

If you are not familiar with Splitcoaststampers or the Dirty Dozen please check it out HERE.  Splitcoaststampers is a large stamping community that harbors a wealth of information.  The Dirty Dozen is a set of 12 designers who produce elite projects that are shown in a special gallery exclusively available to The Fan Club.  On the 15th of each month a new gallery is revealed to those who have a membership in the Fan Club.  Now this isn’t a card I can post here, but if you are a member of the gallery, it will be available for you to see at 12:01am on February 15th in the Splitcoast Fan Club Gallery.

Becca Tip:
I leave you today with a small tip to thank you for looking in on me today!  When I pulled this card together it was missing something.  I’m a beader also and have found that things you use for jewelry make excellent embellishments for cards.  The element that you see in this sneak peek is a toggle!  Isn’t that just beautiful?  I simply used a brad to attach it to my card then put a gold half bead in the center!  If you look back through my cards on this blog from the beginning – you’ll find little surprises like that peppered everywhere – I love jewelry embellishments and have been using them for quite some time.  This particular embellishment I found at Joann’s and it is from a jewelry line called Manor House.

As always, thanks for stopping by!!

When I stop in at Michaels or Joanns, I usually look at all the pretties in the jewelry-making department. Hopefully, when I get to see your full card, I’ll finally see a way to actually use those pretties on a card!ReplyCancel

Hi Becca The inspirations you give me are marvellous!!! Ther are times I wished I lived in the U.S.A just to be able to purchase some of the items you use., they are just beautiful. We are way behind you here in the U.K on the manufacture of the items you have. I love the wizard dies you use and stamps and ribbons I have managed to purchase several items via America and awaiting patiently for the latest ones to come to this country. The jewellery embellishments you have used on your sneak preview I have not seen any in this country that are anything like them yet! But once again you have got me looking for something else lol. You will keep me poor. Please dont stop though, Ilook forward to receiving your e-mails daily.

Hugs and God be with you

How creative you are! I can’t wait to see the entire card! I have what I call my “treasure chest” where broken pieces of jewelry, embellishments cut from worn out clothes, and any other do-dad I can find, goes in to add just the perfect touch to a card or layout. It’s really amazing what you can come up with when you think outside the box!

    Hugs~ReplyCancel

Geez, what a bummer, I want to see the rest of the card. I can’t afford to pay the membership fee for the fan club. However, I have faith that you will continue to dazzle me with other projects right here on your blog!

    Becca –

You should get a percentage of the Splitcoast profit for causing so many people to join the fan club! I love your artwork and if there is a place I can see more of it, I’ll pay the subscription fee.

    God’s continued blessings!

Wow…what a great use for all of the “jewels” that I have left over from my girls and grandaughter…wonderful idea!
I’ll certainly have to check out this fan club however; I didn’t know that one had to pay for it. I will check it out.ReplyCancel

  • ConniecrafterFebruary 15, 2009 - 8:33 am

such sweet embellishment, I need to check out the jewelry isle a little more I think :)ReplyCancel

  • PeggyFebruary 15, 2009 - 9:52 am

Uh oh!! I am in trouble! As a scrapper I used to “frequent” the hardware aisles at Lowe’s and Home Depot looking for out of the ordinary items for my pages. Now I will have to expand the aisles I go down at the local craft stores! If you ever have the opportunity to visit a “new concept” Michael’s store, you will just be amazed at the beading section!
    Thanks Becca!!ReplyCancel
