Seek Out the True

I have a quick card to share with you today.  I managed to get some of the new K & Co. paper, Madeline,  from my Michaels.  I seriously stalked the clerks in the store to see when they would be putting the paper out and I was so glad that it came in a couple of days ago.  To make the card I used Spellbinders Ric-Rac Scallop Pierceability.  For the main panel of the card I used the pierceability to cut each of the four sides, I then embossed on two of the sides and pierced two of the sides.  I was pleased with the shape I created . . .after I rounded the corners with a corner rounder it reminded me of the SU Top Note that I see so much these days. I added a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Large and Classic Ovals Large for the sentiment.

After hunting for some time, I realized I just didn’t have the right colored flower, so I took some eyelet lace, airbrushed it with the Copic Airbrush System then gathered it and added a button.  So easy!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Printworks
Paper:  K & Co. – Madeline, Bazzill
Ink:  Aged Mahoghany Distress Ink, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Ric-Rac Pierceability, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Large, Eyelet Lace, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Leaf Punch, Martha Stewart Branch Punch. pearls

That’s all for now – I see a carpet cleaner in my very near future :-)

Another beautiful card Becca. I love the colour combo and the new pierceability die looks so effective (I’ll have to check that out!!) – did it take very long to make the card and what size cards do you normally use?
Thanks for all you give us.

Your cards refresh my heart Becca! What a beautiful way to display God’s beautiful Word! I would like to use your techniques in maybe
an 8×10 size for framing. Maybe a little larger even. I tried a scrapbook 12×12 size, using only scripture which I printed on vellum, with different fonts. It just need something if you know what I mean.
When I found your site I was thrilled! I knew God’s Word would look beautiful using scrapbook/card techniques. With the Spellbinders and C uttlebug, which I now own, because I was soooo inspired by you.
Any ideas on how to fill up something bigger than a card and not have
the main design be lost in the larger space.?! I want to display God’s Word throughout my house. The card size could be used in a grouping of pictures. I don’t have any scripture stamps yet, I’ve just been printing whatever scripture I like on vellum. I’m going to order some of the ODB stamps you use. It’s so hard to find Christian scrapbook/card supplies. Again thank you for inspiring and refreshing my heart. IRIS, Saved by Grace!!: )ReplyCancel
