Hi there friends. As promised I’m back with a project that uses my new Spellbinders Swirl Bliss Pocket die from the Amazing Paper Grace Collection. I wanted to make something other than a card and I think the pockets lend themselves to so many cool projects – a scrapbook page seemed like a good thing to try out. I talked myself into thinking it was a huge card :-). Remember, baby steps. I had just been to Rogers Gardens in Corona del Mar California with two of my sweet friends – Linda Duke and Tosha Leyendekker. This home and garden destination has exquisite Christmas decorations and room after room of themed displays – we were happy girls and that explains the starry looks in our eyes.
Even though this is pictured from straight on and it’s hard to tell the dimension, I used the pocket die as if it were a cornice and it actually stands out from the page a bit. By putting another pocket on the bottom it frames the picture. Then I used the round element to carry embellishment across the page. I also used Spellbinders Urban Blooms by A Gilded Life for the spiral flowers and I printed all the memory specifics on Spellbinders Baby Buntings by a Gilded Life. The tendrils that cascade down from the flowers are from Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents.
This was a stretch for me but it feels great to try something out of my comfort zone :-)

Oh, by the way – are you sitting for a couple of minutes with your cup of coffee? I’m gifting you this link to see a three minute video of Rogers Gardens. Lol, I have to put up a little bit of a disclaimer that I can’t be held responsible for extreme longing, swooning or daydreaming today after you watch :-) I’ve watched it twice and what a way to start the morning! Question Parking Lot:
Oh boy do I ever like this layout. I’d love to see more of them (hint hint). You did an awesome job. I am a scrapbooker and am a bit behind in my layouts. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks for stepping outside your comfort zone today Becca. The result appears to be well worth the effort!!
Another exquisite work of art! Thanks for sharing.
I’ve got your dies and this is just beautiful. It’s great of you to give us ideas, even if it takes you out of your comfort zone, and it certainly doesn’t show.
Working on scraping today and what an inspiration to get me motivate to do a couple of layout. They won’t be like this today, but when I see the beauty of what you do, with your beautiful dies ( I started getting them when you had the monthly kits) and the picture of three of my favorite designers. I think you nailed this right on. Stunning layout Becca!!!!!!!!!
So glad you had a chance to go to Rogers Gardens. It is a magical place for a gardener all year long.
God bless, Edith
Lovely scrapbook page. Love Rogers gardens. Looks my kind of place!!
I, too, have your dies & will try this – just beautiful. “Scrapbook pages” still scare me but…
Corona del Mar is just minutes from work & will have to check out Rogers Gardens for myself. I just looked at their website – ho-ley cow!!
Oh my! I was wondering what a Becca styled scrapbook page would be like and I totally love this! Your dies are fabulous!

you are approved at doing pages too!
I live 20 min away from Rogers Gardens! you should have told me and come over for a cup of tea Becca!!!
I have all of your dies and I am “amazed” at your first scrapbook layout. You done good, girl!! Beautiful. I really enjoyed the utube video of the Rogers Garden, I love places like this. Amazes me how so many trees can be so differently decorated. I am lucky to get one little one done LOL. Thanks Becca for this out of the ordinary post by you – really enjoyed it.
wow, your first scrapbook page is stunning.
What a beautiful page you have made, Becca. It is just lovely! The pockets transform wonderfully, and you have really given us a clever idea!
Absolutely love it……. now I know how to use those Dies to their best!
Thank you for a lovely page!
Oh my! The video was beautiful! I have to restrain myself not to buy more ornaments though. I have three trees, all are so packed with ornaments that you can barely see the tree. Hubby had to build me an air conditioned storage room out in the garage to store it all.
Love to see you do scrapbook pages. I really need to retire and devote more time to doing things I love–creating. You are so lucky to have both the talent and time to create beautiful things…
Oh Wow , so nice to see your layout Becca, i am a huge Scrapbooker doing my Family tree with all the Photo’s i have from my ancesters for my Grandchildren to look back on and enjoy , i think our heretage is very important to us all .
Thank you for Sharing .

Great to see you taking steps out of your comfort zone–I think when we always see such beauty in anything you create that we assume it’s all easy for someone like you with so much artistic ability. But it’s not easy for any of us. Thanks for that encouragement, I needed it today… :)
I have never done scrapbooking myself either, only cards and my tiny gallery on SCS (905lovestostamp) is just that, tiny, but I do have a dream of starting my own little blog someday, even if I’m the only one who reads it, it’s OK…. Yours was one of the first I read and I still feel so pleased when I see your blog name in my e-mail inbox. :)
You have done so well in these years since your beloved John went to heaven, and I know it was not at all easy, but you have continued to take steps forward with God’s help and the support of your family and so many who love you. I am thrilled every time I see you have a new die or a new stamp set, and I have bought many of them, bought all of your kits when you had those…
We all have our struggles, mine is a car accident disability that stopped my life cold, I’m so grateful for the hobby of card-making I have when I’m well enough to make one. My cards are simple but what joy in creating one! I thank you for all you continue to teach me… :) It’s so wonderful to see so many fellow believers in card-making, what a blessing!
Just know I am so very proud of all you have accomplished, and I know you will be doing so much more–all with God’s help and blessing.
Thank you for sharing the video of all the lovely decorations at Rogers
Gardens. It is like taking a trip to fairyland and a great way to start the day. I appreciate that you always think of us!! Also, your scrapbook page is beautiful as always.
WOW!! Beautiful layout Becca. If this is out of your comfort zone you have done an amazing job. I am also a scrap booker and this is just beautiful. I too combine my love of family history into my scrap booking pages and this would make a lovely wedding layout.
Becca, as always your work is stunning. One can not tell by looking at this wonderful scrapbook page that you are out of your comfort zone!! You have a great talent and it shows in all that you create!! I really enjoyed the video you shared as it reminds me of a similar place here in Michigan called Bronner’s. It also is a Christmas wonderland. People have come from all over the world to visit. Looking forward to seeing more of your ideas and have a wonderful rest of your day!!
I’m sorry I don’t have time to comment every time I peek in here! Even with 150 emails in my box, I can’t pass up yours. You are such an inspiration! Thank you!
Wow! Beautiful scrap book page, love the use of the dies on thi.
Well done Becca.
Love & hugs

Gorgeous layout. Love everything about it.
Dear, dear Becca!
What a lovely layout. Love your use of texture, shape, and content. More please! (As time and desire premits, of course.) Maybe I should think of my cards as a scrapbook page. You think? :) Always willing to learn from a master crafter.
P.S. Thanks for the glimpse into ‘Wonderland.’ Loved it! Saw so many ornaments that I’d love to own.(DROOOoooool ! ! )
Incredibly Pretty. I love it.
Hard to believe you were not already a scrapper I guess I just assumed. Well your page looks like you have been doing it for years beautiful job.
