Real Love

Well good day!!  I wanted to share a quick and simple card I made for a couple I know that are getting married.  I scrounged through my studio for these shoes that I salvaged from a card found in a clearance bin.  They looked so interesting to me and I knew that for the future I could reproduce the womans shoe easily – you know how I love shoes!!  I picked a Quietfire Designs sentiment to go along with the shoes.  Even though I was going for a tone on tone look  I stamped out the Real Love Stories sentiment in black and embossed it so the shiny text would match the mans shoe.

Rather than put the shoes directly on the card I created a series of panels using Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles LG, Spellbinders Mega Ovals LG and Spellbinders Mega Classic Scalloped Ovals LG.  For that lovely ribbon treatment, you caught me, I was experimenting.  I fashioned the rose from ribbon then ruched the ribbon across the card myself by running a gathering stitch.  Hopefully when things calm down here I can show these in a Becca Bit.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – Real Love
Paper:  The Paper Company – Cream
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories:  Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles LG, Spellbinders Mega Ovals LG and Spellbinders Mega Classic Scalloped Ovals, Ribbon

Take care friends, I’ll be back soon!

Becca – can’t believe it, but here in little ol’ England, I have the exact same pair of shoes on a Cambridge blue card headed for a lovely young couple who are being married in a Cambridge College Chapel next week!

Like you, I’ve hung onto the card for a couple of years as I knew I could make a similar shoe!

But your ivory ribbon treatment is stunning. What am I saying…? The whole card is stunning :o)
