Good morning friends, today is Day of Giving Friday. I have a new card today and it will ship out to one of you readers, if your name is picked from comments tomorrow. You can read more about Day of Giving Friday in my FAQ section on the upper menu, scroll down to #11. I thought it would be great to offer a friendship card for you to keep or give away. The sentiment is from Quietfire Design – In A Perfect World; I’ll walk you through how it is made below.
For today’s comment – When you sit down to craft, what activity brings you the most joy. (Straightening up? Getting inspired? Sifting through supplies? Other?)
I started out with a 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ card base and added a layer matted with gold and cream where I score the cream every 1/4″ for a little bit of texture. On top of that I layered Spellbinders 5 x 7 Heirloom Legacy. On top of that I layered Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance made into a frame. I lined the inside of the frame with Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders Two. The flowers are made using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia and although I used a different die, the technique followed is on my Scrunched Flower Tutorial.
