Amazing Paper Grace

The ordinary and unexpected gift of stamping

Our Family is a Circle

Posted by Becca Feeken on Friday, April 11th, 2008

Our family spent some special time together today and the stamp used in this card was on my mind.  This card is not my style, it is way simple but the stamps says everything I felt in my heart today.

Today is the last day of the kids spring break and we were up and out this morning early for doctor appointments.  Afterwards we were all able to sit down as a family for a fun lunch - all five of us.  It tickled my husbands heart, and guess what, everyone behaved.  We laughed our way through our meal - so today was a wonderful reprieve.  Make sure laughter is a part of your every day.

Okay, on to the card….well I finally broke open my package of Papertrey paper.  The stamp I used is shaped like a circle so it seemed obvious to me that I should cut a circle out of the middle of the Aqua Mist  panel and pop it up on pop dots.   I embellished the outside of the circle with one of the flourishes from the Sweet Love set and adhered it to a white panel that was then adhered to a Spring Moss card which I had already edged with a Fiskars scallop punch.  I tied on a short piece of Spring Moss ribbon and added a trio of paper flowers.   A heartfelt thanks to you for stopping by!
