No Worries

Just a note to say that in the background I’m working on new items – no worries!  Since my scare earlier this week, I realize that I’m walking a tight rope without a net where many of my computer files are concerned.  I’m just like everyone else to say that I’ll get to that soon but never manage to get there.  So for the last couple of days, as I’ve been working on projects and not sitting on my computer, I’ve been backing up photos and some of my other things to DVD.  It’s a welcome change because my hard drive was totally full and for each days post I was finding myself juggling things off so that I could make room to edit pictures.  I also have a correction to share – last week I posted this card using a brass stencil that I identified as Dreamweaver.

Several people have contacted me to find out where I got this so it led me on a hunt to find the source.  I assumed it was Dreamweaver, but apparently it is not.  There is no identication etched on it like most stencils I have and the packaging is long since gone.  I’m sorry, alas, I don’t know who makes it.  It is most likely discontinued :(  If anyone does know, please email me so that I can give the manufacturer credit.

In the meantime, I’m consumed by Christmas . . .  things to show very soon!

ETA:  Several people have emailed me to confirm that the Quilt stencil is indeed a Dreamweaver Stencil that is discontinued.  The number is LG608 designed in 1998.

VOILA!!! The quote “Sleeping under a quilt is like sleeping under a blanket of love.” is from Quietfire Designs. I had recently admired another of your cards using a stamp from this company and decided to hop over and take a visit. It’s definitely a keeper and still available!

Becca: The stencil in question is most definitely a Dreamweaver’s plate. I own the same one and it resides in it’s original package.ReplyCancel

Becca, I second that! Mine is also still in the original package from Dreamweavers, so I think that makes it official!ReplyCancel

Happy to read you are just busy–no computer problems !
Maybe I should take this time and back-up my files in disks. I am so bad about taking the time to do itReplyCancel

Oops! I was looking at the sleeping under the quilt “stamp” at Quietfire Designs…not the stencil. However, since the stencil is discontinued, you might be able to use this stamp with the same quote.ReplyCancel

Oh, please get an external hard drive for all your beautiful work! One is coming to my house tomorrow; my new computer crashed when it was three months old this past summer. Fortunately, I still had the previous computer and its hard drive, so I could save all that. Everything after January, however, was lost. I’m determined never to have that happen again!ReplyCancel
