My Type of New Spellbinders Die

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite and New Spellbinders Typewriter
Hi there sweet friends.  I absolutely love this time of year because there are new products coming out, and I finally get to show them rather than just talk about them.  I made this card on a lark last night because every time I looked at this new die, I busted out in giggles.  To me, it’s just the cutest thing ever.  Just this week Spellbinders released a new D’Lite Typewriter.  Cute!!  I had to think back to figure out what in my stash would go with it, so I grabbed one of the fabulous new JustRite Papercraft background stamps called Tufted Cling Background Stamp.  On top of my background stamp I layered  Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four and the new Spellbinders Labels Thirty Eight.  I knew I wanted to put a bit of paper in the typewriter with a sentiment on it and I found a great one in the Call Me Soon set.

Love the typewriter die; a great way to send alittle ‘note’ to someone.
Beautiful card Becca and I remember using an old typewriter similar like that in school. Oh, gosh, that was many years ago.

I could see many uses for this little typewriter (of course, this also has a way of ageing us). Not you Becca, you’re too young for the typewriter era. I also love the time when Spellbinder comes out with all the new dies. So exciting. Looking forward to the great drawings from this fab company!!
    Hugs to you Becca,

I, too, think this typewriter is a cutie!! I think it would be really good for ‘man’ cards, as well. There are some new papers coming out that will suit this die especially well. Now, if I can get my hands on some of these inspirational bits before next CHA rolls around…!!! Hate that lag time between when you see ’em and when you can actually purchase them.ReplyCancel

  • Marge R. (mer)January 10, 2014 - 8:24 am

I MUST agree this die is just a ‘blast from the past’ — I’ve envisioned using it too with a piece of paper with one of those sentences typed over & over in typing class that contained each/every letter of the alphabet. Don’t imagine we’ll find that stamp anywhere! So I’ll have to just have to make up that little piece of paper on my COMPUTER — LOL!!! Your card is too sweet!!!ReplyCancel

  • Eileen L.January 10, 2014 - 8:24 am
