Happy Monday sweet friends! I hope your Easter was special – mine sure was! Last week my mailbox was brimming with new stamps, so I wanted to show you one that especially touches my heart — it’s gorgeous!! My sweet friend Suzanne, from Quietfire Design dropped this in the mail to me – with plenty of time to spare for Mothers Day. I put a little card together with her stunning hand penned sentiment called Mothers hold their Childrens Hands. It’s mounted on Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG and layered onto Spellbinders™ Floral Ovals. My next layer is the filigree edged piece from Spellbinders™ Radiant Rectangles. The card base is made using Spellbinders ™ Timeless Rectangles – you can see how I do this in this tutorial —>Filigree Hinged Card Tutorial. I highlighted the sentiment with a sponge dauber and Victorian Velvet distress ink. I leave the die seated in the die template while running the dauber around the edge – it leaves such nice muted color on the inside and the rim of the diecut forms a hard border.
