Lifting You Up

The ball is rolling on the 5 year anniversary and Blog Frenzy for Spellbinders.  Have you been following the Spellbinders Designers for this 16 day celebration and reveal of the new Spellbinders dies?  Well hop on over to the Spellbinders website for the details on this huge event as well as details on how you can win!!  My preview is on January 10th.

I was able to spend a little stamping time and am back to share a card made with the newly released Spellbinders Labels Four die.   Just a reminder, these dies are being revealed and will be available early March.   Today I’m sharing a newly released stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called Lift Up Our Hands.  That set is so very versatile!  Along with the praying hands stamp there are four sentiment stamps and the three liner sentiment stamp was designed to be used together or each line separately.   I can tell this is going in my "Go To" stamps column – you know the ones you always rely on when you need to make that quick card?  The hands can be used with almost any other sentiment made by Our Daily Bread Designs

To make the card I cut two of the Labels 4 dies and used the Reverse Stencil technique to produce the outline on the edges.  Simply ink the Spellbinders die before putting through your die cut machine, and the ink will transfer to the cut edge producing a fabulous outline.  I then stamped the praying hand image in Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  These were mounted with pop dots on a panel of teal and design paper and then mounted on a brown panel.  I added a pennant to stage the sentiment, it’s stamped with one line of the three line sentiment from the stamp set.    I turned back a corner of the design paper and added a filigree with a button on top.  What’s a card without ribbon {{wink}}?  So of course I added ribbon and couldn’t resist the brass blings.  Easy Peasy!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Lift Up Our Hands
Paper:  K&Co Design Paper, The Paper Company – Cream White, Bazzill – Teal, Brown, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Ranger Distress Ink – Brushed Corduroy, Versacolor – Laurel Leaf
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Four die template, SKU #S4-190, Filigree Brad – The Paper Studio, Ribbon, brass bling.
