JustRite Makes It Merry and Bright

by on September 22, 2009

JustRite is the sponsor this week over at CPS Card Sketches so the second I saw the sketch, I knew what I wanted to do.  The round motifs match perfectly with any of the roundish JustRite elements and I also thought it a perfect opportunity to use my Spellbinders Nested Poinsettia!   The JustRite set I’m using is JustRite Merry and Bright Christmas Borders and Centers.

I was able to use my I-Topper tool; I love that thing.  Using the innards of the book I dissected last week, I used the print pages to make the I-Topper brads that sit in the middle of the poinsettias – they are colored using Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks.  For the leaves I used Spellbinders On the Vine Borderabilities Grand and swiped over them with Pine Needles Distress Ink and a little bit of Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The poinsettias are made with the two smaller of the three nested die templates.  I edged each with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and used the edge of my scissors to curl the petals down.   The center motif is a Making Memories tag I made with vellum.  The frilly edge is the companion piece from the Spellbinders In Spades Pendant.

If you haven’t visited in a while, I wanted to let you know that Thursday, September 24 is the last day of the Super Font sale over at JustRite – the details are HERE.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite – Merry Little Christmas Borders and Centers
Paper:  The Paper Company, book print

Accessories:  Spellbinders On the Vine Borderabilities Grand, Spellbinders In Spades Pendant, Spellbinders Nested Poinsettia, EK Success Round Punches, Paper Shapers Photo Mounts.

Thanks so much for your well wishes, I am feeling much better :-)  Happy Stamping friends!

Those button flower centers are darling! Great job, even if I am really not ready to contemplate all this Christmas stuff. Think I’m still on the beach with the “first kiss”.
