I {heart} U – I really do!

Romantic Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Victorian Letters and Spellbinders Moroccan Accents - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning friends, I’m back with a quick card that’s all die cuts.  I’ve had this wonderful victorian alphabet laying on my desk for a bit and wanted to make a card to show the beauty of all the individual letters.  Using Spellbinders Victorian Letters  I cut all the letters out, lined them up and added a gold layer on the “i” and “u” and substituted a gold heart for the “o”.   I’m telling you, it doesn’t get any simpler than this, plus I have a quirky kind of satisfaction that I used every single letter :-)
WRBF-4833-2015
This is one of my simpler cards but honestly to get all the letters on the page there is no room for a big bow, trust me, I tried.  I added decorative corners using Spellbinders Moroccan Accents – they draw your eye in so that you might pick up the gold letters.   Of course a tiny little bow to highlight the heart.  I must say this is an easy flat card to send – a rarity for me!

Becca, I had to add one more comment on this card. As I was looking at it again, a light bulb went off, wouldn’t this make an awsome card card from my twin granddaughters to their Kindergarten teacher on Teacher Appreciation Day!! They absolutely love her. Just couldn’t be a better way to express it.

Wow! Simplicity and beauty combined together in this card. I love love love the alphabet dies and the way you combined them to create a card that shares “love.” Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I don’t know how you think of things like this but I’m so glad you do. I’m glad you are able to spend this time with your Mom. When my Dad passed, I was blessed to be able to spend 3 months with my Mom at her home. We then traveled to my sister’s home and then onto mine for a few weeks. I think it helped us all with the grieving process but I know it definitely helped me. I’m continuing to pray for you and your family. God bless you all and Happy Thanksgiving.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, Please say hello to Mom for me though she doesn’t know who I am but she is family, too, even if cyber family. Thanks for using an oldie, the Moroccan Accents. Unless you remind me, I forget I have a winning die in my collection. It looks so good with just 2 corners–another good tip from you to make the card more interesting rather than squaring off with 4. Also, I now know what to do with ‘unused’ alphabet letters. Your Thanksgiving may not be so Happy this year but still lots to be thankful for. God bless and keep you safe. BarbaraReplyCancel

Becca, who else besides you could think of using all the letters in the alphabet and making them so lovely with the a highlighted gold “I” and “U” and a “heart”, to make “I Love You”. And you were able to find a place for one of your gorgeous bows. How clever you are to come up with this card design. I like the idea on one of your posters that this would be a perfect card for her children’s teacher who they love! Hello, Becca’s Mom! Prayers continue for you and your family. Please know others care. Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving.ReplyCancel
