Happy Thanksgiving!!

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using a Quietfire Design sentiment and Spellbinders
As I’m surrounded by family and reach out to talk and stay in touch with you all on a daily basis, know that I am so very thankful.   Thankfulness for the joy that comes to me every day is the inspiration for my simple card today.  It is a sentiment penned by my friend Suzanne Canon at Quietfire Design and it’s oh so very true – no one can measure how much a heart can hold. Thank goodness there’s no limit and to be honest I know for sure that there are times where mine overflows.   I thought this was so fitting as we celebrate Thanksgiving in the US.  If you are a friend abroad please know that I’m thankful for you too!!   The sentiment I used for the card is No One Can Measure and I used Spellbinders Filigree Delight for the focal point background panel.   And for those of you who follow day to day – look ma, no bow ;-)

So, go eat your turkey and polish it off with pumpkin pie.  After that nice long nap you’ll need to take, be sure you stop in to see Suzanne at Quietfire Design for her Thanksgiving Sale :-)

    Good morning Becca,
What a beautiful card you have made for us yet again. The filigree design sets take a card from nice to beautiful, stunning. Although here in Scotland we don’t have thanksgiving time, some of us give thanks each day that we are still here. Some of us are struggling but we could be an awful lot worse and for that i am grateful. Thank you for the time and talent that you give to us, that helps us to develope our projects and gives us ideas and encouragement that we can do it as well.
Have a lovely day with your family Becca and know that although we don’t celebrate this time, we d give thanks to the special people like yourself and Sue who give us that encouragement each day,
    Love and crafty hugs

  • Sheila in CyprusNovember 30, 2013 - 12:18 am

    Hi Becca

WOW! What a stunning card with a beautiful sentiment. A must have, as this would be very apt for many ocassions. Have just looked at the SB die used and found that you created it too, this is one die that I must have it looks so versatile.

No thanksgiving here in Cyprus either, but like Nora (Scotland) I give thanks for being here and for the priviledged life that I live. There is now a lot of poverty in Cyprus but despite this still lots of love and support for those families suffering. We are told that the current situation will get worse over the next 12 months but I pray that these families do not have to suffer too long. There are some days when I feel really down but when I need some kind of comfort I turn to your blog. You are an inspiration Becca and I admire you for that.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.

Off to have a long browse at your creations now.

    Take care.

    Love Sheila xReplyCancel
