Happy Fourth of July

WRBF-3902-2013
I’m having a wonderful 4th of July with friends and family.  If you ask me, I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Going into it, we were scheduled for 100% rain which means no hope of a sunny day but I knew there was 100% chance we were going to have a good time any way.  Prediction = true :-)   My prayer for all is that you hug the folks around you and understand no matter what comes our way daily, we’re blessed to have our family, our friends (near and abroad) and each other.  Today I’m so happy and proud to express an appreciation for my country so I cooked up a true red, white and blue card.
WRBF-3901-2013

I started out with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels One and cut a card base using the Spellbinders Hinged Card Base tutorial (someone always asks :-))  On top of that I layered Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight  (I sliced an inch or so out of the center then taped the two pieces together along the back).  I then cut the center out using Spellbinders Standard Circles SM.  I finished off with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Four (stamped with Waltzingmouse Stamps Florentine Frippery), that I scored on each pointed edge and curved using a pencil.  Recently Waltzingmouse Stamps released a cool patriotic set of stamps, so I knew that I’d be using USA 1776 today.  I adore safety pins and I picked up these antique 7Gypsies pins recently and I thought it would be the perfect place to thread on a red, white and blue pearl.

SUPPLIES I USED
StampsWaltzingmouse Stamps – USA 1776, Florentine Frippery
Paper: Masters Touch 140lb Watercolor Paper, Bazzill
Ink: Amuse – Cherry, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight, Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels OneSpellbinders Standard Circles SM, Spellbinders Labels Twenty FourSeam Binding, Darice Pearls,  7Gypsies Antique PinRecollections Pearls, Button, Becca’s Bow Maker

Hugs friends, enjoy your fireworks!!

Happy belated 4th of July to you Becca, but I´ve first got the entry in my mail right now in the morning of the 5th. That´s one of the worst things about the Reader is gone, cause now we first get the mails almost a day later for everything, so many things is way too late for us overhere now, but never mind, the cccard is sooo beautiful as always, and you´ve done an outstanding job as usual hun. You´ve really mixed all these stamps and dies to perfection Becca, I love what you´ve done with this here.
    Hope you´ll have a wonderful week-end ahead too now.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca

A lady, on the lovely Sue Wilson blog mentioned you this morning, so I thought I would have a look. Wow your cards are so beautiful. Just one look at them and I have been purchasing EK punches, I have quite a lot of the spellbinder dies.” Lucky me ” I think my husband will pull what hair he has left, out, because I can see me saying “but I need these items as well “. I will certainly be following your blog every day. :-)

    Kind regards
