Grace to Sustain

Hey there!!  Yesterday was a fun day!! I received all sorts of interesting answers about my misspelled word and several readers nailed me on typos!   I may have bit off more than I can chew because now I really have to watch my spelling!

Edited to Add:  Oh I didn’t explain this thoroughly – all in good fun, as a contest I asked readers to find my spelling errors/typos yesterday.  Because I didn’t refer back to my little challenge here, my lead into this post may have been taken out of context.  When I saw the turn that comments were taking, I thought I would jump in and clarify.  All is good in blogland and I have the very best readers  What I was trying to say is that since I innocently announced what a stickler I was with spelling it looks like I’ll have to watch my own!!!

Today I’m back with a more serene card in pink using the JustRite Stampers set called Thinking of You Centers and Borders.  For the focal medallion I hand trimmed my first stamped image oval and layered it on Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM #4.  The stamped border is then cut from Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals LG #4.  My next layer is a hand cut element and finally the bottom layer is Spellbinders Labels Eight.   For embellishment I added a set of scallops using Spellbinders Jumbo Scalloped Borderabilites Petite.

I added ribbon and buttons for embellishment and smudged all my edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  This card went together very easily partly because pink and green are smack dab in the middle of my comfort zone :-)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stamps:  Thinking of You Centers and Borders
Paper:  Petal Patch Kit – Carina Gardner
Ink:  Color Box Chalk Ink – Rouge, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals LG, Spellbinders Labels Eight, Offray Wired Ribbon, Buttons

Thanks for peeking in to see what I’m up to today!

I love this card. You are like the energizer bunny, you just keep going day after day, week after week, year after year. I don’t know how you do it, but I appreciate you doing it. I learn so much from you. If you have typo’s I don’t see them, I come daily for my dose of “Becca” creativity.

    Becca-
Enroll some of these people whom are great spellers to proof your posts for you…..I am a horrible speller. Now that I use safari I am fortunate that it corrects my spelling before I post even in this comment form. Have a great day and keep bringing us the beauty that you bring I love it!ReplyCancel

You never disappoint! Yours is always the first blog I check every day.
As to the misspellings – don’t sweat it. There was never but one perfect on this earth!
However, I was totally shocked at how many responders to yours misspelled
    “Grammar”. Just proves a point!
    A HUGE FAN!!!

I have to admit that I don’t even notice typos unless they are something really glaring. I come to your post to see all the beautiful creations and to get directions to see if I can get something halfway close. Usually I just say “oh, how beautiful”!! (I am glad to hear you have a few human faults).ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, you hear this all the time I know but we humans need the reinforcement and uplifting comments. I check your e mail each day and it keeps me working on setting up my craftroom. [we just moved and so my new area is not workable yet, but you keep me inspired so I go at it eachday a bit so soon I can get my cards going again. you are a Blessing and hey not with all these new =tec langauges spelling correctly is a bigger chore now than ever. God Bless you and yoursReplyCancel

Your card is awesome as always, Becca!!! IMHO people who comment on how many typos you have need to get a life! Sometimes, when we are in a time crunch it slips and to be honest, even tying a comment sometimes has all kinds of mistakes, but that just proofs that we are yet still all human and we all make mistakes ;D. Why would someone have to point it out…just drop it. I love your ceations and that is why I am coming to visit you not because you are perfect in “english grammar” :D;D;D Hugs and blessings, SabrinaReplyCancel

Becca, as one who cannot afford to throw stones, I salute you for letting us know how ‘human’ you are. As the saying goes “To err is human, to forgive is canine.” Got this, this morning, from a website to which I subscribe.

You hadn’t bitten off more than you could chew, you just made the rest of us feel a whole lot better about our own faults. Bless you, Becca!

Like others, here, I check your site first, every day. The comment about you being like the energizer bunny was so right on. You’re an inspiration and have, truly, been given a great gift.

We all adore you! Many hugs and goofy grins.
