God Bless – Gratitude New Cuttlebug Folder

Wow, people emailed me lots of questions about the most recent cuttlebug card that I did.  Many wanted to know the name of the embossing folder I used  and where to get it, so I decided to do another card using that same folder.  The name of the folder is Gratitude and it’s a little bit different that other folders I’ve purchased.  In addition to the A2 sized embossing folder, there was an A2 sized die cut that has several different phrases on it.  This one is available at Hobby Lobby and you can look at it here.

For this card I paired the Gratitude Embossing Folder with some watercolor paper.  Using a punch, I cut the center out of each flower and then cut the panel into a frame.  Using my regular cropadile, I put an eyelet in each flower center.  On top of my card base I added a panel of shimmery paper onto which I punched a border both on the bottom and on top.    Ribbon was tied through the frame and the card was finished off with my watercolored image on top.  This was a quick and easy card and gives you yet another view of this cool folder.  I hope I answered some of the questions that have floated my way.  I am soooo intrigued with this latest folder and have more ideas that I hope I can try out soon.  I’m loving all the new Cuttlebug folders, hmmm….I might just need to get this out of my system.

I am still behind on email so thanks for your patience…I answer several a day and then I get back to the business of making new cards to post.    Have a sweet, cozy day!

This one is sooo sweet! I really like the double border and is that the ‘Distressed Stripes’ embossing folder I see underneath? I love the very soft pastels on the ‘Distressed Stripes’ embossing and on that beautiful ribbon. Hope you are having a restful and blessed day :D.

Beautiful, as always. You tied the most beautiful knots and bows I have ever seen. Is it that you’ve tied so many it’s second nature or do you fuss over each one? Any secrets you can share?ReplyCancel

This is a lovely card! I have owned this embossing folder for a quite a while and haven’t been really happy with my efforts with it. However, now I see your idea to use it as a frame, I now know how to make good use of it – so one very big THANK YOU!!!ReplyCancel
