Get Ghoulish

by on September 20, 2008

I’ve had these stamps for a couple of years, each year promising to make a cute Halloween card.  As always the date would sneak up on me and whizz by like a freight train.  I would vow again to start earlier, at the first hint of fall.  Well, I guess this is the year because I’ve finally stamped them out and I think the ghosts are as cute as the dickens.

I created the background by sponging white Stazon over a cloud template.   On the next layer the moon was added, a 4"  circle watercolored with Tombow markers and embellished with a Sizzix Sizzlit fence.   The ground is made up of four layers of torn edged paper and the watercolored figures are popped up over the torn edges ground.  The final embellishment is a sentiment and a large photo corner.

The box below was designed to hold goodies and matches the card.  It’s an easy origami type box and I plan to have a video on how to make it soon!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Angi-B (Now sold through Smartworks), Sentiment – Martha Stewart
Paper:  Bazzill, Die Cuts with a View
Ink:  Versamark and Black Embossing Powder, White Stazon
Accessories:  Sizzix Sizzlet, Tombow Markers, EK Success Circe Cutter, Brads, Nestabilities, Ribbon

Size:  6" x 6"

Whooo, what a week.  My computer hard drive filled up so full that I couldn’t juggle any more :(  I restructured and backed things up to open up space but it took a couple of days.  Once that was done, I was hit with a little stomach virus…needless to say, I look forward to next week now that I have the hard stuff behind me.  Keep a look out for a pending video on the triangle box – don’t forget, I’m new at it so it may take me a little longer to get it just right.
