Favorably Simple Gift Box

Amazing Paper Grace: S5-259 Favorably Simple Gift Box on Spellbinders Paper Arts by Becca FeekenHi there sweeties, thanks so much for your kind words! It’s has been a super crafty week for me with lots of inspiration all around.  Many of you have asked questions about how to put together the Favorably Simple Gift Box – one of my new dies :-) You’ll grin when you see how easy it is.  I created a video that’s being featured on the Spellbinders website that shows you exactly how it goes together – you can see it HERE! Quick and simple, in less than 5 minutes, can you do me a favor and have a look?  Now that you can see the gift bag/box in it’s full glory, I’d love to know what you think!

Edited to add:  Someone asked the dimensions so I thought I would put them here as well…

Assembled Box:   4-7/8” tall, 4-1/8” wide, 1-3/8” deep

Box Body: 4.10 x 6.30 in
Side Closure: 2.10 x 4.30 in
Disc: 0.60 x 0.60 in
Tag: 1.70 x 0.80 in

Oh Becca, you made this little giftie, which LOOKS beautiful and complicated so very simple to make. I can certainly see where these would work. It would actually be nice to have a few on hand to take places like my Doctors or Dentist office with a bit of a treat as a thank you or even put in 1 lotto ticket if goodies are not appropriate. Just adorable and oh so useful.

  • Sandy ArtmanApril 26, 2016 - 4:06 pm

    Hi, Becca,
This is adorable! I loved the velcro closure but can you open it without removing the bow? My friends get distressed when they think they will “ruin” a pretty package by opening it. After viewing many tutorials, I so appreciate how yours are organized, clear and concise. Thank you for all your sharing this week – such a treat!
    Love and blessings, SandyReplyCancel

    • Becca FeekenApril 26, 2016 - 6:01 pm

      Hi Sandy:
Yes, it is indeed possible to get the bow low enough that you can open the closure. Just be sure if you attach something like Swirling Grace that you make it as low as possible. I should have put it lower but didn’t do another video take. I did make another box just to make sure and it all turned out good. A tie closure comes with the box, but velco was good for a short and sweet video.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
I do love your dies and have three of them (so far). I couldn’t work out how to comment on the Scrapbook.com page so I am saying now…..your dies are really lovely and easy to use, since I purchased the Platinum machine the bigger dies are working a lot better for me. The price of the wedding favour box I thought was very reasonably priced. I love the projects you show us using the dies, they are very helpful.
