Dare to Reach Out

WRBF-559-2009

Wow, doesn’t that sentiment speak to you?  Thank goodness people do dare.  I simply can’t tell you where I would be if kindess, compassion and empathy hadn’t caused people to reach out to me and my family over the course of our lives.  Doesn’t this make you brave enough to try?

This is one of the sentiments in the newly released Keep My Lamp Burning set by Our Daily Bread Designs.  I had saved it hoping I could do it a little bit of justice.  I wanted clean cut lines and minimal embellishments so that the impact of that wonderful sentiment could speak on its own.   I selected a white linen paper from The Paper Company and paired it with a shimmery cover stock weight in a yummy pomegranate color.  Sheer white ribbon is sandwiched between the two matching Amanda Blu flowers from my stash and it is finished off with a JBH vintage button found at Joann’s.   Three small pearls are on the lower edge of the focal panel.

I hope you like it!  I’m working on much this week but I will be posting as much as I can.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper:  The Paper Company; Solar White, Metallic Pomegranate (Michaels)
Ink:  Colorbox Claret (Michaels)
Accessories:  Amanda Blu Flower (Michaels), JBH Button (Joanns), Pearls (Michaels), Sheer Ribbon 2″ Wide (Michaels)

(Hee….Hee…..I’m getting wiser…where possible I’ve noted where I purchased some of the supplies used on this card, because I know you’ll ask! *wink*)
