Amazing Paper Grace

The ordinary and unexpected gift of stamping

My Cup of Cocoa

Posted by Becca Feeken on Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

I spent a wonderful evening sipping cocoa, listening to my Ipod and stamping.  Yep, the room around me was in shambles but I have my priorities you know!  So, the chilly evening and my want for something good and hot to drink led to the inspiration for this card.   Actually I had the stamps laying out on my desk for a few days and I got over the thought that  I should color the cups - I’m a real big fan of quick and easy.

I pulled a trio of browns to work with and my Close to Cocoa stamp pad.  The background was stamped with a Hero Arts polka dot stamp and the three brown panels were layered.  I then cut a nestabilities circle and scallop, glued them together temporarily, then cut them in half with my paper cutter.  Using a stamp positioner, I stamped the sentiment and the flourish then secured them with pop dots permanently to the card with a gap large enough to mount the coffee cups on the dark background.

I hope your evening was wonderful.
