I’m Coasting, I Know!

I know I promised a post, but I’ve been parked in front of the TV all day preoccupied with the election.  Big hugs to all my American friends – it’s been a long haul to get to this day.  No hints as to who I’m for, I’m simply so proud to be an American, first and foremost.  Thanks to all of my foreign friends who have lifted us up and supported us as neighbors.  No matter who you vote for, today is a historical day for our country.   If you look at my Amazing Quotes, the daily quote is one that caught my attention and captures the anticipation that everybody feels.  God Bless America and God Bless us all!!

Might you all remember this card HERE?  It’s featured on the SCS Technique Challenge this week.  I hope you’ll try to make one this week.  It’s one of the easiest techniques I’ve shown.  I promise once I’ve cleared the election, I’ll be back to creating.

Don’t forget about the Blog Candy that I’ll be pulling a winner for tomorrow morning, 11/5/08.  You can add your comments to THIS POST if you want to be eligible.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you’ll continue to visit with me.

Love all the new ideas for the Cuttlebug embossing. I’m thinking ahead to Valentine’s day…I may use the circle cut with the corner punch for my cards with a sparkly red heart in the center.ReplyCancel

Some things are well worth waiting for, and with a historic election such as this one, it’s no wonder you and I’m sure many others can not concentrate to make a card!

I am Australian, and of a rather ‘mature age’, and earlier this year I graduated from University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in History. The last 4 semesters I took American history, and I became ‘hooked’. All year I watched your election lead-up with immense interest, and today when I left work I couldn’t wait to turn on the car radio. Within minutes I had the news I had waited for – “Yes! Yes! Yes!” I shouted as I drove along. (I had concentrated on African American issues throughout the courses – my social conscience was born in your 60s civil rights movements ). A huge CONGRATULATIONS to you all.
Just recently I discovered your blog, Becca, and yours is one of three I check every day. Your talent is incredible, and SO inspiring. Many thanks. Also congratulations on your very well deserved ‘appointments’ this week.

    Jennifer.ReplyCancel

In the words of the song: “Oh, what a beautiful morning!”. I am so thankful the power of television enabled me to share history in the making with you throughout this last night: CONGRATULATIONS to you all.

    God Bless America.

That card is ‘amazing’, as is your God-given talent. I can understand your excitement at the results of the election to the highest office in your nation. Bless you, and your fellow Americans, and I hope the next four years bring you peace and calm, regardless of who wins. You are all winners to be living in freedom.ReplyCancel
