On Friday, I happened to be in Michaels to pick up ribbon – it was on sale!!  Can you imagine my glee when I discovered this yummy satin ribbon at $1.00 a spool?  I splurged!

:98

It is called Simply Satin and my guess is that they are changing packaging because there are others on the shelf just like it except the label doesn’t say "Simply Satin".  The large rolls hold 4 yards and the smaller rolls hold 10 yards.   I use more solid colored ribbon than anything else and have simply fallen in love with the wide 1.5" width; this rounds out my "basics" quite nicely.    Who can’t use more ribbon?….I’m just sayin’

Oh Yum-O!! Gorgeous. Did you wrap it to store in your 12×12 drawers? I just shared your link of the ribbon storage on the Papertrey forum. I hope you don’t mind.ReplyCancel

Howdy, this is my first reply and I just have to say to a closet lister and obsessed organizer you make my heart sing. I am going to pick up my special order matt board today and get started on my ribbon. I got the matt board for 60% off with a Jo’s coupon, woohoo. Any way, would you show us a close up of the ribbon check list opposite the swatches? Thanks.ReplyCancel

Our family spent some special time together today and the stamp used in this card was on my mind.  This card is not my style, it is way simple but the stamps says everything I felt in my heart today.

Today is the last day of the kids spring break and we were up and out this morning early for doctor appointments.  Afterwards we were all able to sit down as a family for a fun lunch – all five of us.  It tickled my husbands heart, and guess what, everyone behaved.  We laughed our way through our meal – so today was a wonderful reprieve.  Make sure laughter is a part of your every day.

Okay, on to the card….well I finally broke open my package of Papertrey paper.  The stamp I used is shaped like a circle so it seemed obvious to me that I should cut a circle out of the middle of the Aqua Mist  panel and pop it up on pop dots.   I embellished the outside of the circle with one of the flourishes from the Sweet Love set and adhered it to a white panel that was then adhered to a Spring Moss card which I had already edged with a Fiskars scallop punch.  I tied on a short piece of Spring Moss ribbon and added a trio of paper flowers.   A heartfelt thanks to you for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampourri, Papertrey Ink – Sweet Love
Paper:  PTI – Aqua Mist,  PTI – Spring Moss, Marco’s Cougar Opaque

Accessories:  Nestabilities, Paper Flowers, Fiskars Scallop Punch, PTI – Spring Moss Ribbon

A quick card to share.  I wanted to pull together something to showcase the daisies on this Printworks stamp.

Pink and green seems to be my favorite color combination and it worked out well with the design paper as well.  I’m stuck on square cards and as with other recent cards, this one is 6×6. The daisies were colored with copics, a stamped sentiment added, for a quick and easy card.

Thank you for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampendous, Printworks
Paper:  Bazzill, DP-?
Inks:  Old Olive
Accessories:  Copics, Michaels Ribbon, Dew Drops, Nestabilities
