As promised, I’m giving away another set of Spellbinders Nestabilities!!! Don’t you love it when you get to the end of the year and someone says, "Hey, I’ll see you next year" and it throws you off? Well I’m offering a set of Long Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities for this blog candy, but I won’t be picking the winner until next year, he..he…he.
You are eligible to win it by leaving a comment on this post telling me a little bit about your New Years Resolution - except this time instead of picking an item that you are going to do, tell me about one that you are not going to do for the New Year. Your comment should be entered before Friday, January 2nd at 9:00am CST. The winner will be picked by random.org on 1/02 some time in the afternoon. The winner will be responsible for checking back to see if they’ve won and stepping forward to claim the prize by emailing their shipping address within 48 hours. Every 48 hours another name will be pulled until we have a winner. One comment per person, please.
ETA: If you have just landed here and intend to leave a comment for the blog candy I hope you grab a cup of coffee and spend a minute reading the comments made before yours, I promise you, you are in for for a great read! I sat down and read through all the comments that have accumulated since I posted the candy and have smiled through every one. You are the most inspiring and positive readers and I’m touched by those who stop and share. This….is the reason why I blog.
On another note – have you checked out my new Questions and Answers page? Yep, in order to keep up with questions left here, I have a new system. Instead of culling through my comments for questions left by readers, I have a submission form on the Questions and Answer page that will put the question into a queue for me to handle. So far, so good! If you’ve left a comment asking a question, I might not be able to uncover it there. Why not hop over to the Questions and Answers page and submit your question – as of now, I’m all caught up on the message queue.
I’m working on some items and with the New Years Holiday approaching, posting will be at odd times. Hang in there with me!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, Becca! Thank you for the chance to try for such delicious blog candy!!! The one thing that I am going to be concentrating on not doing (with the Lord’s help) in the coming year is sweating the small stuff — to let it go and give more focus on what is really important — to leave the outcome in God’s hands and let Him take care of it all. Would really love to have those scalloped spellbinders (they are on my wish list)! Thank you for sharing such a wonderfully creative blog! I find it refreshing and inspiring and so glad to see a “sister” out there creating with the talents God has given her!! Enjoy! ~Amy S.~

Hi Becca, Thanks so much for an opportunity to win these Nesties. They have been on my wish list. The one thing I will not do next year is let papers pile up too long. I have a bad habit of piling up all the paperwork on the counter until it is too large to want to tackle. From now on I will tend to everything as they come in. Now I have pretty pictures on the counter where the papers used to go. Whoo hoo!! Happy Happy and Safe New Year to you and your family!!!!

Hello Becca -
I think this year I will not purchase my paper crafting items on impulse. I love everything in the stores and pick up so many things that disappear into the black hole of supplies that I have in my closet. I want to select a project, and then get the supplies, if I need any, for it.
Happy New Year to all.

One this I will not do this New Year’s is make a resolution that I cannot keep. Best if I just trust in God to do the best I can in everything. Happy New Year

Thanks for the opportunity to win blog candy. The one thing I will TRY not to do next year, is worry about money. Worrying doesn’t change anything, so why do it?

Hi Becca,
Well now let me see…..I have already given up smoking many years ago, I don’t drink, I don’t swear, so maybe not eating so much would be perfect…..I am always on a diet that never seems to get me to where I want to be so I will try once again to reach that goal….
Your blog is great and I think the question and answer part will be so helpful. Thanks for the blog candy offer that would be wonderful to win.
May you have a happy and blessed New Year….

This coming year I will NOT spend as much time on the computer looking at everyone elses creations. I will get into my scraproom and create my own pieces of art. Oh this is going to be hard!
Happy New Year everyone!

I am definately NOT going to promise to lose a ton of weight. That is a set up for failure. What I am going to do instead is work on being healthy – make better choices, drink more water and keep moving. If that brings on weight loss – awesome – if not, I’m fine where I’m at. I just want to be healthy.
December 28, 2008

This year I am not going to worry so much about things I cannot change. Thanks for the chance to win the nesties. I don’t have that set yet.
December 28, 2008
7:25 am
First, thank you for taking the time to do this blog. I learn from you by each creation. This year I am going to lean more on God and try not to worry. Like many others, it has been a difficult year. I absolutely love the nesties.
Thank you and God bless,
Peggy

Happy New Year to you!
As for what I’m not going to do this year…..I’m not going to purchase so much NEW stuff. I will try to use some of my stash and still create those wonderful cards and pages that I love.
December 28, 2008

Love your site and visit every day. Wishing you a New year full of joy and wonder. I,m new to nesties so this would be a great start, thanks for a chance to win.

As I read all of the above comments I thought I’d like to do all of those things! So many hit home to me. This year I will try NOT to let my craft room stay messy after a project and I will try NOT to let things that I bought for stamping or scrapbooking stay in the package and not be used yet another year! Thanks for the chance at the nesties. I’m just starting to buy some so winning these would certainly help the budget. Have a wonderful New Year!

I usually do not set New Years resolutions for myself, but…I could certainly improve on time management! My big goal would be to quit work, & still have money & insurance. Since it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to quit, I’ll have to utilize that time better when I’m not there. Thanks, Becca, for the chance. Your blog is so wonderful and refreshing!

7:31 am
wow what am i not going to do…thats an interesting perspective.
I am not going to identify my sons failures as my own,i’m not going to doubt my husbands love even for a second,I am not going to get so lost in day to day stuff that i lose my crafting time which i need for my inner peace:)
Thank you for sharing your creativity online and i hope you and your family have a wonderful year full of love, joy and peace:)

I’m going to stop sitting at the computer so much. It’s time I do more cleaning and STAMPING. I love the nestabilies and the great things you gals can do with them. Thanks for a chance to win some!

HEY I wanna win that long rectangle nestability set. That looks wild.
My New Year’s Resolution to not do something is to not get irritated at the little tiny things in life. The things that do not matter. A car that cuts me off, don’t get mad. A customer at my job asks me a question that I already answered a million times earlier (I work at Wal-Mart) and not get my feathers ruffled.
My father recently passed away (Dec 5) from cancer and I will tell you that the little things are not going to drive me nuts anymore. God is shaping me into a different sort of person as a result of my Father’s passing.
Have a great week, my fingers are now crossed!

WOW. Lets see. I am glad I am not alone. I too, agree to spend less time on the computer and more time stamping. My mom is also very sick. I promise to try my best— to not drive her crazy while we sit and talk. I will do what ever I can to keep her comfortable at this difficult time. I wish everyone good health and happiness in the New year.
December 28, 2008
7:45 am
My New Year’s resolution is to stop letting negative people take over my life. I somehow seem to find myself getting caught up in drama I don’t care to be a part of and then ending up the bad guy. DONE, FINITO……the new me!

Wow, what awesome blog candy! In the New Year, I’m NOT going to worry about the things I have no control over, instead putting it all in the Lord’s hands!

I just love all your inspiring creations. Thank you for each & every one of them.
The one thing I’m not going to do is worry. My husband keeps telling me that I worry about everything & everyone and that I worry about not having anything to worry about!! So as the old saying goes……..
If you worry, you didn’t pray, and if you pray, don’t worry!!
So, no more worrying for me. WOW, what a relief it is to know that God is in control of my life & he knows what’s best. I can feel a wonderful New Year ahead for us!
I look forward to your inspiring creations in the New Year. They are so uplifting.
Thank You,
Chickie

I don’t make resolutions, per se, but in the past have just vowed to loose weight. It never happens. So this year I am NOT going to TRY to loose weight. I will just continue to eat in a healthy way, but NOT stress over it. Thanks for the opportunity to learn from you and see your beautiful creative work.

7:53 am
Becca,
Thanks for the opportunity to win some awesome blog candy. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.
As many of the other responders have said,
-I’m gonna try to not spend so much time stalking websites and do more creating.
-I’m not gonna sweat the small stuff. Life’s too short to worry about a rude comment from a stranger, getting cut off in traffic and things I cannot change.
-I’m not gonna put myself last on my priority list. If I take an hour a day to do something good for me, I’ll be better able to take care of the other people in my life.
There are more, but that’s enough for now. Again, thanks for the blog candy. Happy New Year.
December 28, 2008
7:55 am
Thanks for another great chance or blog candy!
My resolution is to not just keep looking and stroking my beautiful stash but to use it! I don’t want to buy anything new until I used up the old stuff!
December 28, 2008
7:57 am
What am I not going to do……..tough one for sure. I guess for me I am not going to skip a week and not call my Mom. Actually I will be calling her more I hope. She still lives by herself and I need to know she is doing ok.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful art work and all of your helpful tips and techniques with everyone.

OH my!!!!! I love this task with the New Years Resolutions!!!
I will not tell myself ‘things could be worse’ to mask the bad things in my life, I will instead tell myself ‘I deserve better’!!!
It’s a huge one…
Thanks for the awesome challenge!
December 28, 2008
7:59 am
Happy New Year Becca and thanks for the chance to win these awesome nesties.
This year I wiil try Not to sweat the small stuff and I will try Not to feel guilty when I take the time I need for myself.

What I’m not going to be doing next year? I am *not* going to let my car get as dirty as it did this past fall! I am *not* going to wait as long to wash it (it looks so pretty when it’s clean!)
BTW, thank you for a chance to win such great blog candy! See you next year!
December 28, 2008

This next year I am NOT gonna worry so much about what other people think about me….. I am me and thats all I can be

Oh Becca, I love your beautiful cards. I just feel all dreamy when I look at your creations as they are all so stunning! Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with all of us. God’s blessings to you and yours in 2009.
As for what I will NOT do in 2009 – hmmm, I will not set myself up for failure by setting unrealistic goals for myself. With the help of God, I will take one day at a time and be thankful for each and every moment.
December 28, 2008
8:03 am
Becca, happy New Year! Hope it is a healthy & prosperous 2009 for you!
In 2009 I’m going to *try* NOT to spend so much money on crafting supplies and use what I have. I tend to keep buying and buying because of what others use, and I have so much already that I need to start using it.
December 28, 2008
8:08 am
Oh don’t those look pretty :)
I would have to say I am not going to subscribe to many magazines this year, I have too many and there just isn’t room to store them, but I can’t seem to give them away either.
December 28, 2008
8:19 am
First off, thank you for the chance to win the long rectangle scalloped nestibilities. They are on my wish list.
I am going to try not to buy on impulse. I have way too many things in my craft room that show that I buy because I may need it in the futrue or I buy because it is on sale. I could probably retire and have many projects (not just stamping) for a long, long time and never have to buy anything. I have managed not to buy the long rectangles yet, so maybe I can keep this resolution. Now if I could just win them!
December 28, 2008
8:20 am
Thanks for a chance to win this set of nestabilities! I plan not to let myself purchase any new stamp sets until I have inked up those stamps that I have in my stash.

I am NOT going to put off making my Christmas cards til next December…..think I’ll start now for next year. Hope your new year is a wonderful one!
December 28, 2008
8:30 am
I hope you had a blessed and very merry Christmas. One of the things I’m definitely not going to do is eat junk foods. My husband had a heart attack Christmas Eve and a lot of it was to bad eating habits. I want to start the new year off right by being healthy and hopefully my husband will be home from the hospital and he can join me in this new venture.
December 28, 2008
8:31 am
Good Morning Becca, Thank you so much for the chance to win these nesties. I love your blog and your amazing work. You are so talented.
Now, for my News Resolution (Not to do List)
I am going to try not to buy on impulse, without having an idea as to what I will do with the items or item. For me, that will be a big one.
Hope you have a wonderful and prosperous New Year!
Pat

8:35 am
Happy New Year. I am not going to “hoard” all my neat things I buy to use on cards. I have a big stash and need to start using them. Thanks for a chance to win this set of nestabilities.

8:35 am
Hi Becca,
Merry Christmas. Thanks for all the hard work that you have done for us through out this past year. You have made the most wonderful cards.
My New years resolution….. to not get so far behind that I think I am first. We are reading the bible through the year at church and there should really be no excuses…..lol….
Spellbinder giveaway, please pick me!
Thanks
December 28, 2008
8:36 am
Happy Holidays! Thank you for creating this blog so that we can all chat. I just love the Spellbinders Nestabilitiest and the opportunity to win a set. I hope for the next year NOT to let my work area become a working disaster. I start to work on so many cards and then start a spin off of the same card that I get carried away and then I have to get focused and clean everything back up.
December 28, 2008
8:41 am
Hi Becca — Hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas! The one thing I hope I can do next year is ink up some of my stamps that have never seen ink and also not buy on impulse. Those scalloped rectangles would be neat to put in my drawer under the cuttlebug. Happy New Year!
December 28, 2008
8:41 am
Hi becca! great blog candy! thanks for doing this.
Hmmmm……well, I would say that my New Year’s Resolution NOT to do something would be to not keep spending money on uneccessary items. I would like to start a savings acct. which I’m not really good at. I was never really taught how to save unfortunately as I come from a family of spenders. But, that’s no excuse! I got some good, christian financial advice a while back and need to put it into action. I hope to be able to do this by the first of the year. Great question!
December 28, 2008
8:42 am
My promise to myself is to start using all the things that I have already, and not buy something new until I have used something I already have. It is a shame to have the amount of unused supplies that I have, and to still buy new things.

Happy holidays!!!
I have a new puppy, so one thing I won’t be doing is sitting around the house! She’s gonna get me out WALKING!!! She’s a little too young yet and it’s WAYYYYYY too cold too, but in the new year she and I are going walking!
December 28, 2008
8:42 am
Thanks for all the inspiration you provide on your blog with all your lovely creations! My New Years resolution is to get back to having a morning time – I need to spend more time with the Lord. Also, I’m going through a health program through my husband’s insurance company so it’s to be faithful to the change’s I’ve agreed to make. So far it’s to drink more water daily and to consume more fruits so I will start juicing fruits in January.
December 28, 2008
8:44 am
I just want to wish you and everyone who reads your blog all the best for the New Year.
My resolution is to make something from every item I buy and from each blog or magazine I read. Hopefully that way I will not only have a stash of ready-mades but will learn new techniques and ways of doing things as I go along.
I guess from what I have said you will realise I am a compulsive collector of craft goodies but still a relative newcomer to lots of crafty ways.
December 28, 2008
8:44 am
Hope you have a wonderful new year! I am going to quit smoking, eventually! Not sure if it will be for the New year, but sometime in the new year!
December 28, 2008
8:46 am
I am not going to feel guilty when I spend time stamping instead of cleaning out a closet, drawer, vacuum, etc. I deserve time to myself without feeling guilty.
December 28, 2008
8:46 am
Thanks for offering the great blog candy!! I will not forget to pamper myself next year. I am feeling like it is my turn to be pampered, so I will not forget to do things for ME!! Thanks and have a wonderful New Year everyone! Blessings

Hi Becca,
Happy Holidays. Thanks for a chance to win some great treats.
One thing that I am not going to do this year is try to give up eating chocolate. I have tried that before and was unsucessful! lol….just can’t resist the stuff.

I retired august of 2008 and said (thought) I would work in my craft room all the time. So much more time to play. I have done very little.
Just not in the mood or something. My resolution is NOT to sit in my recliner and watch tv. JUST WRITING THIS DOWN HELPS!!
December 28, 2008

Hi Becca Thanks for the great blog candy . I am going to be thankful more this year for what I have and not worry about the things I can’t have. To do more stamping and enjoy myself. I wish you a very happy new year. Love Christine x

Joyce’s comment about not vowing to lose a ton of weight are my thoughts exactly. I do want to lose but through life style changes which should help with the loss. Thanks for a chance to win the nesties.
December 28, 2008
9:02 am
Great inspirations on your blog. I love it. This coming year I will not buy any crafting supplies on impulse. I have so much already and I have forgotten why or for what purpose I bought it. I will only buy when I get an inspiration and purchase my supplies and come home and get to it. Thanks for the opportunity for the nesties. I love my nesties and use them quite frequently. Wonder what I did before they came along!! Have a tremendous and Happy New Year.
December 28, 2008
9:03 am
Thank you so much for this opportunity and I send best wishes for 2009.
I don’t generally make New Year resolutions so I’m going to continue NOT to do so – lol!!
Just want to say that I follow your blog religiously, even if I don’t post comments too often. Certainly not often enough especially as your work is a total inspiration. Perhaps I should break the ‘no resolution’ habit and make one – To make sure that I do comment on blogs that I visit to show my appreciation!
December 28, 2008
9:05 am
I am not going to let all the stash I have sit idle, stamps need to be inked, paper needs to be cut, as others I’m not going to spend as much time looking, but doing……
Have a Happy New Year.. you are such an inspiration to others..
Thanks for a chance to win more stash…
December 28, 2008
9:08 am
Thanks for the chance to win! I am just learning how to use all these nesties! For 2009 I plan on trying to learn as much as I can and focus on the good things God gives me!
December 28, 2008
9:09 am
I am NOT going to wish my life away. I am always wishing for another hour or day, or wishing I could do this or that. I need to live in the present and be more accepting of what I do have versus what I don’t. That does mean I won’t have my stamping related “wish list.”–LOL.

Becca ~ thanks for the chance to win your awesome blog candy!
This New Year’s I am planning on not drinking so much soda. My Father was a diabetic, and now that I’m getting older I want to try to take a little better care of myself and not end up like he was in his final years. Soda, my biggest downfall, is one thing I want to give up to start a better and more healthier life.
My best wishes to you and your family for this New Year!
Hugs,

Hi Becca, thanks for the inspiration you provide on a regular basis, I love your style and your great ideas! Thanks also for the chance at some great blog candy!
Something I am NOT going to do in the new year is…
wait till the last minute. I have always been a procrastinator, at everything, I am the queen of doing things at the very last minute. I put things off and think I will have more time later but more time never comes along and I miss out on so much. No more! I have even started early, I posted a comment now instead of waiting till later, woo hoo!

Hi Becca
Your blog is just amazing!
So much to look at – I never make NY resolutions because they just don’t get kept!
So lets just say I will try NOT to spend so much money on craft items!
Not holding out much hope of that I’m afraid!!! LOL
Have a great New Year and looking forward to all your gorgeous creations in 2009!

I’m not making resolutions! You feel bad if you fall short. We all know what we should and shouldn’t do in our personal lives and we need more building up not tearing down of our egos. Thanks for this nice set of Nesties, Becca. Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!!! Thanks for offering the blog candy again. I really want these dies, they have been on my wishlist for quite some time. I hope this new year brings us just the basics, a job for my husband, decent food on the table, and being able to pay the bils. I don’t need anything other than that, I already have my family & friends, that means everything to me right now. Have a wonderful holiday, and wish me luck!!

oh Becca! you are too funny!!! I always want to make a zillion goals for the new year, and then get upset of what I DON”T accomplish for the year! So no new goals. I know what I need to do – I will just do it! I will write down my accomplishments and NOT fret over what’s NOT getting done. thanks for a new way to look at things. and thanks for the chance for the nesties! I LOVE THEM!

I am not going to let anxiety get the best of me. My husband is having brain surgery in February and we ARE going to do this and I AM going to learn to drive in Seattle traffic (that is where his surgery is). I am going to do it despite my fears and I will NOT fall apart. It is time for me to be strong for him.

Hi Becca,
I hope you had a great holiday so far and a Happy New Year. Thanks for the chance to win great blog candy. I love what you do with the nestabilities and have been buying them little by little.
What I am not going to do this year is ignore all the products I purchased in the past and buy more. I am going to break out the old purchases and use them. Of course, I won’t be able to stay away from some new products, but I am going to make an effort to dust off the old and use it.
Thanks again!

Wow, Becca! That’s a hard one! What am I NOT going to be doing! Well, if I had my druthers, I’d not let stuff pile up in my stamp room so bad that I have to spread out to the dining room table! LOl

my resolution for the new year is NOT to waste so much time by NOT looking arround your blog with your phantastic works.
I finally found your blog last week in the wide of the www and I still try to come arround now a few times a week, because I really love your cards and projects.
Wishing you all the best for the new year

Hi Becca;
I am new to this world of all you bloggers. I am so enjoying all the creative projects you all create. I do not stamp. I am not artistic and could never color like you all do. So I am not going to beat myself up because I am NOT LIKE ALL OF YOU. I will enjoy the creative juices you all express and pull from your creative layouts and be HAPPY with what I am able to create.
I have just discovered the Nestibilities from looking at all the blogs. I have the circles and the ovals but am really wanting the rectangles. Since I can’t create the beautiful stamped images you all do, I can create backgrounds with the nesties.
Anyway, I LOVE all that you guys do and go to your blogs every morning and see what you have for me pull ideas from.
I so appreciate that I have discovered this world of bloggers.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this candy….

Becca,
I love your blog, I check it everyday. I am new to Card-Making, and this Nestie set would really help me to make some great projects.
Your projects rock!!!
This year I won’t be letting the small things get to me. I am going to let GOD take care of me and my family, I realize the only way to move ahead in life is to really trust GOD. My goal for the New Year is to
build up my Resume. I am starting a new Job on January 12th, and also getting ready to take the Real Estate Exam. I want to have many options in the future for myself and my family.
Thanks for all your inspiration!!!!!!

Thank you for this wonderful blog candy! The one thing I am not going to do is start a diet I will never continue beyond February. I also am not going to run out and find every gadget the I see. After I think it over for a while I will make my purchase. I have sooooooooooooooo many paper crafting tools I could open my own store as many have never been used.

Thank you for sharing your talents and now the opportunity for some cool blog candy. I have some many things I want to do this next year. I haven’t given much thought to what I’m not going to do. I’m probably avoiding the one thing I know I should not do: eating so much sugar. Okay, we’ll go with that one. . .but I don wanna! :o)

Happy New Year! – Something that I (hope) NOT to do in 2009 is over extend myself to the point of getting bent out of shape and discouraged about trying to keep up with everything.

OOOO! Pretty Candy!!! I don’t have Rectangles yet…they are next on the list…
In 2009 I plan to try Very hard NOT to sit on my butt and do nothing…at the very least I need to get up and rearrange cupboards or sort out old stuff I don’t need…ultimately I hope not sitting on my butt turns into walking every other day!

Hi Becca! This New Year I have resolved NOT to make New Year’s resolutions I can’t keep. So, I shall NOT be eating anything that would cause me to gain weight; NOT buying anything crafty until there is at least space on the floor to store it; NOT putting myself down and definitely NOT wearing a bikini. Please can everyone keep their fingers crossed I do NOT stray from my good intentions?
Happy New Year to you all

Becca! What a wonderful treat! Thank you for the opportunity.
Hubby and I were talking about resolutions last night. I’m determined to get better organized with my time so that I do less creating on the computer and more actual creating on paper! What I mean is… what I create on the computer is not digital scrapbooking. They are files to cut out using my cricut. I spend so much time making the file but never actually cut them :o( So my plan is to make sure that each day that I spend at least as much time physically creating as I do digitally creating :)
Have a wonderful New Year!!

Happy New Year and thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful prize. What I’m going to try not to do, is to worry about things I have no control over and let the Lord lead in my life.

Hi Becca,
First, thank you so much for sharing your love to God and paper craft!
For this year I wish for my self to be much more active in our church and learn and grow in God’s word and love. I pray that the Lord will give me the wisdom that I need to do so.
Have a blessed year!!!

Hello Becca, thank you for all the wonderful cards you have shared; I’m so happy to have found your website…you are such an inspiration! I’m going to try not to let my art studio become such a mess! I get so involved with my paper crafting, I guess I just don’t like to have to take the time to clean up before I start another project!
December 28, 2008
10:40 am
Interestingly enough, I have exactly two resolutions, and both of them are what I’m NOT going to do this year: I am NOT going to say every little thing that pops into my head – just because it’s in my head doesn’t mean it needs to come out my mouth. I am NOT going to spend time and/or energy on anything that does not move me further along my path – be it draining relationships, items I don’t use any more, pasttimes that no longer interest me – whatever! If it’s not serving a purpose in my life (uplifting me, allowing me to uplift someone else, serving a useful purpose – which could include entertainment or aesthetics , and so on) it’s outta here! If I’m the lucky recipient of this fabulous blog candy, it will be my very first set of Nesties – great way to start the New Year, I’m thinkin’! Thank you so much for all of your inspiration and generosity during this year now coming to a close – you truly are a gifted, blessed individual, and your blog is one that stays on the list I’m keeping! Love and light to you and yours this year!

wow what a great idea to enter the new year with. Hope your christmas was wonderful and your new year will be exceptional. As for what I won’t be doing in the new year stuffing my face for one :) I think I would also like to not lose my cool so to speak, be a little less rigid and hold a grudge less.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday! This coming year I am going to stop worrying about everything ( I know this is going to be very hard, but it will be great if I can stop). I let things get to me too much. What a great give away. Love those nestibilities!!

10:51 am
ha ha, I too love saying “see you next year” when I really mean next week or even tomorrow!! ;-)
This is a fabulous giveaway and I have briefly mentioned it on my blog even though that may well reduce my chances!!
Anyway, the resolution that I am NOT doing this year? What a thought provoking question, um, I am not going to resolve to eat less chocolate as that is never going to happen, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t still resolve to at least eat a little healthier and be a little more keen to do some exercise!!
December 28, 2008
10:51 am
HAPPY NEW YEAR BECCA! I so, enjoy your blog and love the idea of the question and answers…I am sure you do get the same questions again and again…
I have a bad habit of buying too much for stamping thinking that I am going to use it, so this year I really don’t want to buy it with future in mind but with a project to do with it asap.
thanks for all your candy you have been so great about giving….God bless you,

Becca- Happy New Year! I enjoy reading your blog everyday and seeing all of your wonderful projects. God has blessed you with incredible talent, and is is wonderful of you to share it! I am blessed in so many ways- and one is all of the inspiration I have at my fingertips with the internet! My New year’s resolution is to USE ALL OF MY UNINKED (unused) stamps…….. and my other resolution is to try to have will power and resist all of the stamps on sale!!! My personal resolution is to exercise daily……..

Thanks so much for this opportunity, I enjoy your site so much and love your inspirational cards.
I definitely am not going to keep my craft room in such a mess, it makes my life too discombobulated!!!I is that a word?) My children gave me a huge unit from Ikea that has lots and lots of drawers and I can’t wait to get it set up. ( We just have to complete all the drawers. ) No more excuses!!!
Happy New Year and many Blessings!

Thank you for the extra holiday goodies. A new years resolution that I will not do next year….not to go so long without scrapbooking… 4 years to catch up will keep me busy:)
December 28, 2008
11:05 am
Becca, one thing I WON’T stop doing is visiting your site! That would just be a bad idea of something I would stop doing! So I’ll be visiting daily, as I always do.
But on the note of what I’ll not do (or try not to do) is to leave projects and supplies out and a mess. It takes ever so much longer to finish a project when one is faced with a papercrafting mess. Therefore, I am pledging to not walk away from my messy workplace to take care of later.
Happy New Year!

This New Year brings Great Enlightenment to me… It seems as though every day of every year I spend pleasing others and the end result is always that I feel as though I have fallen short. I have decided that at my age it’s time to put myself first and my life’s priorities in order.. I can’t care what others think.. only what is best for me.. It will be hard but I really need to try to make it work..
I wish you the Happiest of Holidays and a Great start to the New Year~! The Blog Candy is Yummy!!

I will try not to snack at night. It’s so hard when you are watchng T.V. to not have a pretzel or two…or maybe an almond…I promise I’ll try not to snack after dinner! LOL!!! Love this blog and all of your work. HAPYY NEW YEAR BECCA! Thank you for all you do for us!

2009 is going to be so much better than 2008. I’m not going to procrastinate as much. I won’t let others run my life this year either, I’m finally doing what I want and not worry about what others think.
December 28, 2008
11:15 am
Hey Becca, great blog candy! For 2009 my goal is to spend less on stamping/scrapping items that I don’t use. I just got back into my stamp room, and I have all sorts of things I have p/u since October, and I have not seen ink or paper. I am really going to try to curb my spending on these items because my goal is to purchase a laptop at the end of 2009. This gives me a whole year to save up the dough! I hope you have a Happy & Healthy New Year.
December 28, 2008
11:16 am
I have a couple of things I won’t do. First I won’t make any resolutions and then be disappointed in myself when I don’t keep them. The second one will be harder! I won’t be buying any more paper for awhile! I have enough to start my own store – but of course the new stuff is so much better than what I have here. Then I hate to use it once I have it – therefore, way to much paper in my house!
December 28, 2008
11:16 am
Thanks for the chance to win these, I love reading your Blog!
Next year I am NOT going to have such a mess in my craft room that I can’t find things. A big sort out and tidy is going to help!
Happy New Year!
December 28, 2008
11:17 am
I am satisfied with the stamp sets I bought this year but, maybe I will have to buy a bit less stamps next year because I have a lot of them! Like some other stampers wrote, I would like to spend less time in front of the computer and have more time for stamping.
Thanks for the opportunity to win the blog candy!
December 28, 2008
11:22 am
Becca, I have gone to your questions and answers section and like it very much. Great idea! The biggest thing I am NOT going to do this year is buy things that I think I must have when they are on sale. Those coupons are a big draw for me. I worked very hard during the holidays to stay away from Michaels and JoAnn’s. They are great stores but it’s time to get stamping. I have so much stamping “stuff” that I could stamp every day for the next year and hardly make a dent in what I have, especially paper! Guess there are a lot of people who feel the same way. Thanks for the chance to win a goodie. Happy 2009 to you!

I guess I’m not alone in that I am NOT going to buy more til I use some of what I have. I’m NOT going to waste so much time as once it’s gone I can’t get it back.
HAPPY NEW YEAR …Let the “NOTS” begin!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 28, 2008
11:34 am
Hi Becca,
What a great idea to share a plan to not do something…my not to do is be afraid to try something new. When I look back at my life I realize I missed out on a few adventures due to fear…although I have done more than a lot of women I know.
My other not to do is not to worry, and to pray much more!! That is hard to do, but with focusing on my relationship with Jesus and allowing Him control, I can relenquish mine.
Thanks for the opportunity for this wonderful blog candy…and many blessings to you in the New Year!

11:38 am
Hey Becca thank you for the chance to win this set of Nessties this is one I do not have and I would LOVE to own. I love your new Q & A section what an awesome idea.
Before I talk about next year what I don’t want to do this year is forget to tell you what a great blessing you are to me. You are so very generous to us all with your talent and most importantly your faith and I am so very thankful for that.
Now for what I will not do next year I will not let a day go by without creating something. Creating is my Zen and I also believe God speaks to me through my creating. I so enjoy sharing my creations with others that is the true blessing.
I hope you have a very new year filled with love, joy and peace. May God bless you and yours.

Cool candy! I usualy don’t make resolutions. Everyone does and they end up breaking them in short order so I never have bothered. And so I resolve not to resolve this year again. LOL
December 28, 2008
11:42 am
What won’t I be doing? Well, although this sounds abominably selfish, I won’t be ignoring myself as much as I have over the past year. I’m a wife, mother, daughter of aging parents, sister, nurse manager of a health center…. If I don’t cool down and remember me, I’m not going to be much good at any of those other things for much longer. So thank you, Becca, for putting a twist on the famous “New Year’s Resolutions” and making me really think about it!
Best Wishes–

Hi Becca,
Hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you a very Happy and Blessed New Year. I have been wanting this set of Nesties, so hope I win. What I am not going to do next year is hoard so much craft supplies. I am going to use them more and not buy something just because I want it. Thanks for a chance to win. Also wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog. Thanks for the inspiration.
December 28, 2008
11:52 am
I will definitely not be ignoring my crafting. There really is no excuse for me not turning out tons of stuff every month. But, one of my other pleasures when not at work is reading. In 2007, I will have read 43 books. Of course, I could still read and craft if I gave up some television. I am a crime show fanatic – Law & ORder, Criminal Minds, CSI . . . So, TV has to go or at least be cut down significantly.
Truth be told, I cruise the internet for ideas but then lack the confidence to strike out on my own. This year, I won’t be doing that. OK, I may “borrow” ideas from the internet, but I think the key is to get going and let nature take it’s course.

I have removed Solitare from my dock and so hope to gain an hour or two or three each day of productive work. It’s way too easy to just keep playing. I’m thinking I’ll make a dent in my artsy supplies! Hope so.

Hi there Becca.
I just love your page! I have been like a fly on a wall watching your adorable cards!
I have also been so in love with your work that I have been ordering the same stuff that you use in some of your cards LOL….
Well what I will deafinatelly not be doing next year is being to ocupated with my self! I will be spending more time with my love ones…
(If I win this blog candy I will be giving it away to my friend that lives in USA as it is to expencive to ship it to Iceland) lol…
Love from ICe.

Happy New Year and thanks for having such a wonderful blog AND sharing such a fabulous prize with your readers.
What I’m not going to do in the coming year is make any resolutions! I’ve done that for most of my life, and felt such remorse for not living up to all of those well-intentioned promises to myself. In 2009 I’m going to avoid those self-imposed restrictions and just enjoy my life one precious day at a time. No guilt and no regrets!

The one thing I plan not to do is to make choices on my on. I plan to always include God in all my daily life. Quick decisions sometimes get me into trouble. The one thing I want to do is trust Him more and depend on His guidance. January 26, 2009 is a big day for me, I am going to have surgery for a left knee replacement and I would like everyone to pray that God will help me and I can get back to my job driving a special
needs school bus. The little children on my bus are so special to me as I do not have any children. They are a handful sometimes, but they are such a joy to me too. Thank you so much for all you do to help inspire us out here in the crafting world and of course I would love the blog candy. May God Bless you and help you keep on using your wonderful talent.

Thanks for another chance to win some goodies. What will I not be doing – letting papers pile up. In the rush of life I let them pile up and then it takes a lot longer to sort through than if I had just dealt with things when I first got them.

I will be working on finding more time to do my crafts. Right now I’m straightening out my crafts corner so I can find things and clear the table so I can actually work.
Thanks for your candy blog, I keep trying!

What I am not going to do, is make any resolutions! This year will be a time for a lot of change as I just relocated recently. I am going to try not to have preconceived ideas of what I should do or of who I should be and to explore more – internally and externally.
Thank you so much for the chance to win this amazing blog candy. Your site is an inspiration. Best wishes for you and yours in the year ahead.

I have decided this year to NOT make any resolutions. Too hard to keep! LOL. But, I will try to do all that I can in moderation. Not give up but cut back in many ways. Thanks for the chance to win!

Thanks for a chance to win. I am not going to set unrealistic goals for myself. Our family has been through a lot the past fourteen months: a son with viral ensephalitis that sent an infection to his brain, leaving him with epilepsy (daily seizures), the death of my dad and now my grandson in the hospital having unexpected surgery. I am not going to say yes when (though even deep in my heart I want to repay the kindness that others have shown me) asked to help out when it is just not possible this year. If I keep up this pace, I myself will be in the hospital. What I am going to do is pray for others. That is my ministry this year. Sometime I will be able to more for others when they have a need, and I will be able to return the blessings that our family has received.

What a great question! What I resolve not to do is spend as much time on the computer as I do now. I am finding that my computer time is becoming more and more and I am spending more time looking than doing. So that is this year’s resolution of what NOT to. Thanks for making me think!! Happy New Year!

May you have a happy and blessed new year, Becca.
Thank you so much for a chance to win this wonderful blog candy.
I usually do not make new year’s resolutions, but this year I am going to try to not eat so much unhealthy food and to not worry about the little things.
December 28, 2008
12:34 pm
I am not going to wait any longer to eat my frozen Christmas cookies LOL! Seriously, I am going to try to send out every card I create this year-I am NOT going to hoard!
December 28, 2008
12:37 pm
Hello, Becca,
May I first say that your “art work” has been such an inspiration to me! The card I made for Christmas this past month was by far the favorite of all I have made in the past, and I “modeled” it after one of your beautiful cards!
Although I, too, am not a resolution-maker, this coming year, out of necessity, I am NOT going to fill my body with processed, preservative-ridden foods. I was diagosed with metabolic syndrome, and I am not supposed to eat refined sugars or refined flours. My basic eating instructions are, “if it comes in a package with a label on it, DON”T EAT IT!!” ha! While that might be a little over-stated, I understand what my dietition is saying. For the first time in my 54 years of life, I understand that this is about my health, and about feeling better, not so much about losing weight to “look better”. (although, I am supposed to lose weight, too…) So, I am determined that, for a healthier me beginning in 2009, I am NOT going to FAIL!!
Oh, and I am NOT going to sulk if I don’t win the nestie set, even though I have come to LOVE those things!!!
Thanks for the opportunity to try, though! And, please keep those beautiful cards coming!!!
May you be blessed richly by our Heavenly Father!

WOW Awesome blog candy again! I think this coming year I am NOT going to hoard my cards. I tend to make a specific card for someone and then I just can’t bear to give it away. At the end of the year I have so many cards just sitting here – it is such a waste. I may even try and mail a few. Thanks for having blog candy!
December 28, 2008
12:49 pm
Always love your site, Becca. You have such a gorgeous sense of style and creativity.
For 2009, I want to NOT eat junk food – at least NOT eat so much of it!

12:49 pm
Happy New Year Becca, Thanks for the wonderful Blog Candy…..those long nesties are AWESOME….and they have been on my wish list for some time now!
There are some awesome comments so far, and many that I can relate to. I plan NOT to buy more “Stuff” untill I have been more productive with what I already have. I also spend way too much time browsing blogs and not enough time creating!
December 28, 2008
12:49 pm
thanks for the chance to win…..I would luv to say I am not going to spend as much time on the computer, but if I do that I will not get to meet people like yourself and be inspired by others. I guess I will have to say I will not compare my work to others, I always feel inadequate to other stampers. Happy stamping New Year! hugs *~*

Becca,
First of all, love your blog. You have lots of great ideas. I can honestly say that its hard to actually think of NOT doing something. I will not smoke, it will be a year in Jan. I guess I made last years resolution. I will not let myself get behind on my craft cleanliness, which really requires me to put things away at the end of crafting, as opposed to before the next crafting time. It is too much to have to clean before crafting.
December 28, 2008
12:53 pm
Thanks for the chance at some AWESOME candy. I love NESTIES!! Gosh, I always have a list of things I WANT to do, but seldom thing about what I don’t want to do. How about make lists that I can never complete? LOL Actually my resolution is to NOT gain any weight. I’m always battling with my weight an while I’ll try to be healthier and lose weight I’ve promised myself not to gain any more. I’ve worked too hard to get rid of the pounds I did lose that I hope to never see them again. Secretly, I hope to send many more packing!

What a great idea – thanks for the chance to enter. After reading the comments – I find my NOT list resembles some of what was said already:
*NOT worry about things beyond my control, I need to trust in God as He is in control. I need to let things be in His hands and know that He is going to take care of me and whatever happens, He knows I can handle it.
*NOT spend so much time looking at others creations and feeling inadequate when I look at my own. I need to remember why I create and the feeling I get from it and the pleasure it gives my recipient when they receive it.
*NOT buy things on impulse – which I think I’m getting better at so I need to continue to improve on that. :)
Thanks again for the wonderful giveaway!

You are sooooo creative, Becca, and it is so fun to hear how you express yourself~so positive!
My daily prayer is that I won’t turn away from the path God has for me! The New Year is a perfect time to reflect on that and renew my heart on things above! I don’t wish to miss the opportunity to give to someone in need~be it a smile, kind word or good deed.
The Nesties are so helpful in making needed shapes for papercrafting and for embossing! A terrific gift!!!
Many blessings to you, Becca, and all that read your blog! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I’m not going to be such a pack rat. I’ll pass on to others what they can use and not take things on the pretence that I may need it in the future.
Thanks for the chance to win some awesome blog candy.

Hi Becca – this was such a good idea of yours and reading so many great ideas makes me feel so motivated. I’ve even got some extra ideas about what I will and will not do next year.
– I won’t be running to share problems with others, before I think of taking them to the Lord in prayer: Run to the throne, not to the phone
– I won’t hang on to that last piece of designer paper, ‘in case I can’t get any more!’ So what if I can’t get any more – there are beautiful new papers coming out all the time. I’ll enjoy them, and have more space as I use up all my old pieces.
– I won’t spend so much time on the computer that I don’t have any time left to create.
But one thing I will do – is to continue to enjoy your blog Becca. Thank you for sharing your ideas and your talent. Thank you for the opportunity to win such fabulous blog candy. Happy New Year, and God bless you.
Anne.

I am not going to make any resolutions this year. I do want to thank you for all the inspiration you share with your readers. I have learned so much from your blog. I appreciate how freely you share your knowledge. Thanks too for the chance to win the blog candy. Those Nesties are great!

Thank you for the opportunity to win the nestabilities. This year I am planning on carrying through with my resolutions! Every year I make a list of good and not so good things that I need to change, want to accomplish, or have to do and the list sits on the counter and this year I decided I am going to only put a couple items on the list and do them. When those are done I have a second list to pull from so that it will be renewed throughout the year when I get something accomplished.
Hope you have a happy new year!

Hi Becca, thanks again for the chance to win this set of nesties. My New Year’s resolution is … NOT to buy this Nesties set ’cause I’m gonna win it! (just kidding:) but a girl can hope, right?) OK, I think my real answer will be to not wait any longer to complete my Masters degree. I have been making excuses and have kept myself from moving forward in my career. But 2009 will begin my move forward. Thanks for all you do to inspire us .
Hugs,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Becca! I’m making several resolutions this year. First, I resolve to not eat as many sweets. Hopefully this will mean that I am eating healthier and will lose a little weight. I also resolve to not go blogging until I am dressed and the beds are made. It’s amazing how some mornings just slip away! Finally, I resolve to not sneak as many scrappy purchases into the house as I did last year. (In other words, it’s time to use my stash!!!) With that said, you should know that winning those Nesties would help me keep my third resolution since they are on my wish list. LOL!!!

Hi Becca, I did sit down with my morning cup of coffee, and read every comment. So nice to know I am not alone in so many ways. My resolution is to NOT buy on impulse. The comment about not being able to resist those % off coupons could have been made by me. My DH always says, “How about staying home….then you will save 100%!! :D I also will not hoard my craft supplies….including your blog candy if I am chosen the winner. I am lucky to already have this set, so I will find a deserving friend to pass them along to. Thank you for doing this blog and sharing your wonderful creations and talent. You not only show us…you also TEACH us. We are BLESSED. Happy New Year.

Happy Holidays to you and your family! And thanks for a chance at this awesome candy!
One thing I will NOT going to do is start a diet, every year,I say I will diet and exercise and do it for a day or two. Instead,I will hope for the best in 2009 and if I’m able to stay where i’m at instead of putting on some weight,it will already be good enough for me!
Thanks for the chance!!

Thanks Becca, for the chance to win the nesties.
I will be trying not to procrastinate so much this year. I usually say I do my best work under pressure, but it is so stressful to do that, especially when I start out with lots of time to finish a task. Like the old saying goes, “Don’t put off ’til tomorrow, what you can do today.”
Looking forward to more of your wonderful creations in 2009.

Hi Becca. I hope you had a nice Christmas. Boy something I won’t do is…. leave my crafting space as messy as it was last year. My Hubby would love to see this too. He thinks I could run a store out of my craft room with all the treasures I have. LOL

WOW Becca – thx for encouraging us to read the other’s “will not do” list. We are all so much alike!!
I have some pretty serious medical things going on and easily become exhausted – when I have a “good day” I always seem to do way too much and then am wiped out for several days. In 2009, I’m not going to be so hard on myself – budget time wisely and get done what I can get done – and not be discouraged when I have to take down time.
Thanks so much for all your wonderful blogs – they just lift my spirits. When my cards grow up, they want to be just like yours.
Blessings dear “not yet met friend”

Thanks, Becca, for the blog candy offering. My “not” this year is a goal to not buy things just because I can get a good deal. I’m also hoping to not clutter our house by sticking to that goal. Happy New Year!
December 28, 2008
2:04 pm
One thing I’m not going to do this year is make resolutions. I think goals are important. But every now & then, God turns the boat around. So adjustments may be needed through out the year. And I want to be open to his plan for me.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. And that you are looking forward to a Happy New Year!

for 2009 I will *NOT* serve a meal with disclaimers or excuses or long stories. I’ll just serve the food.
Because everyone always enjoys the dishes no matter what I think went wrong during the process and how I think it won’t measure up.

Becca, your blog is always inspirational to me. I read many of the responses and while I believe in the Laws of Attraction and that goes against focusing on what I won’t do, as that would invite the opposite happening…hehehe. So after thinking for a long time, here is what I won’t do. I won’t buy any scrappy items until I made 2 layouts and two cards at least, than I will reward myself with something. With that said, I am in love with the Spellbinders and I would so love to have them all, but only have the scallop circles, so this would be so welcome in my home and loved very much! Happy New Year and keep posting your gorgeous work!

Happy New Year Becca ! And thanks for the opp to win the fab long rectangles …
My resolution this year is to do what I need to do to be healthy … to incorporate healthy food choices and exercise everyday into my schedule be in 10 minutes or 60 minutes.

Happy New Year, Becca! Your blogsite has become a favorite of mine. Your work is so inspirational and just plain gorgeous! In 2009 I am not going to get so bent out of shape over basketball. i.e. playing time, coaches yelling at the players, varsity playing time, etc. In the scheme of things, the time in the gym is only a fraction of a lifetime! I am going to simply enjoy the game and watching our son play.

What an interesting question! I’m going to resolve NOT to be stressed when large groups of people come to eat or visit – I tried it at Christmas (had 15 for lunch) & it works! Just plan, follow the plan & let it flow. That was SO nice! I also liked someone else’s answer above – that I will NOT quit buying stamping stuff! LOL!!!

First of all, I need to tell you how impressed I’ve been with your blog. I love looking at your creations as you put a lot of love and thought into what you post. What I plan on not doing is spending the amount of time I do at work so I’ll have more time to stamp. Hopefully, I’ll be able to create more cards than I did in 2008.

Hello,
Thank you for suggesting we read the comments before we write our own. Wow, I am not alone with my habits…buying too many craft supplies, not having the space for any more in my craft room, not using some of my special/unique goodies, etc. So, I am not going to spend so much on craft goodies I do not need!!! I have more than enough, in fact I wish some of you girls would come over to my house and help me use them up and lets play! Most of the time I am alone while my husband works and I would love some company. Maybe you feel the same way and live nearby, wish there was a way we could better spend our time by sharing our treasures!
Oh, and Becca I would love to win the nesties, it will keep me from buying them!
Happy New Year Everyone!!!

thank you for such a wonderful blog. I have to check it daily. Love your ideas. I don’t have any resolutions. I guess the thing that I don’t want to do this year is think bad thoughts. Live like God would like me to live, and as they say “What would God Do?” That answers alot of guestions.

I could list a dozen things of NOT to do this coming year, but, I think for me is to try and not be so negative about “some” people, but look for the positve and good things in them..Now I tried this last year, and started out very well, but some people seem to like to push my buttons…LOL…..so once again I am going to try real hard this time to accomplish the positive , I am a very positive person and expect that out of everyone, but it doesn’t always happen, …but on a “POSITIVE” side, (see its working), thanks so much for offering a chance at these nesties…..I love your site, so much, that I think I subscribed to it twice, as I get it twice…thats okay with me!!!!! Happy New Year!!!

Resolutions are good, they give you a goal, and prove you have the power in you, even if you cant stick to it all year, you usually try to do it for a little bit, which shows you have the will power if you put your mind to it. These holidays my dad visited me, and on several occassions he was telling me how I should do things, like you should eat more fruit (for fibre), Its a women job to be in the kitchen and clean the house (he is very old fashioned), exercise more, get up earlier (4am)..etc, what he said made me feel like I wasn’t good enough.
So I decided my resolution is to try NOT TO SAY THINGS LIKE THAT to my boys (18 & 20). I know we say stuff like that as parents because we care, but somehow it makes the kids feel like they are not smart enough to make good choices for themselves.
Thanks Becca, I enjoyed reading all the other NOT resolutions, Happy New Year to all.

I’m not gonna quit drinking Pepsi, cause I have to quit lying to myself about quiting and I’m not going to keep dreaming about stamping and gonna start doing it instead. Love it, but I never make the time so this year I will. Thanks for the opportunity to win these Nesties.

Becca – I hope you had a Blessed Christmas and that you continue to receive Blessings during 2009. My resolution for 2009 is NOT to buy more embellishments/paper/stampsets etc until I have used up my considerable stash -ie I am a hoarder!! i will not hoard, I will not hoard, I will….. he! he!

Becca—-First of all I absolutely LOVE your website!! I’m always excited when I see your emails in my inbox—can’t wait to see what beautiful creation you’ve come up with this time!! I don’t usually do resolutions, but I will to win some Nesties!! In 2009 I am NOT going to keep freaking out over the extra 20 lbs. I’m carrying. I will try to eat healthier & exercise more, but if the weight does NOT go off by my son’s wedding in August, it is NOT the end of the world. Life is too short to worry over something as trivial as my weight. Thanks for giving away the wonderful Nesties & keep up the great ideas!!

There are a few things I will not be doing next year, one is buying on impulse. I going to spend more time creating than looking at others creations (although that’s a hard one). I am going to continue to thank God for all his many blessings and go back to my Weight Watchers meetings.
December 28, 2008
3:48 pm
my nonresolution this year is to not worry & fret so much about things. I can’t control everything that happens so I might as well quit worrying about things & enjoy life. Oh this is gonna be so hard to do. :)

Hi Becca, Thanks for sharing so much! You are such an inspiration in so many ways. My “non-resolution” I am not going to let days, weeks or months go by without sending some love to my friends and family. I am already to go, with address labels and envelopes prestamped. All that is left for me to do is send some of my handmade creations to let them know I am thinking of them. Some will get cards every week, and some once each month, but I will be sending lots of love in the US mail in 2009! I hope ’09 brings everyone great blessings!
Thanks, Becca.

There are a couple of things I plan not to do. I am going to give it my best effort to only drink soda on occasion and try to give up the fast food except for the odd rarity. So that I can get this weight off my body. We will see how it goes. Its not an easy feat giving up my coke.

HI!
A few years ago I decidedto make New Years resolutions that were productive, positive, and uplifting! I resolved NOT to set myself up for failure… for 2008 I resolved to LIVE Philippians 4:8 – what a challenge – but what an awesome God we serve! He has enabled me to achieve this a good part of the time!
This year for 2009 I have resolved to memorize at least one scripture per month! more if possible … but one is achievable! and am making a paper-crafted journal to write them in!
MY resolution NOT to do in 2009 is to not put myself down and to not see myself in a negative light! I am a Princess! of the KING!!!!!
Have a wonderful New Year … i love the Nesties .. I just got my first set last month!!! am grateful for a chance to win a set!
THANKS for your creativity!!!!!!

What a great idea, to come up with something NOT to do. At first I came up with many, such as Not drink Pepsi anymore, not to use my credit card anymore, not to eat so much – then thought those aren’t really “real,” and are usually things that I fail at, so I stopped and took some time to think about what I am really NOT going to do this year, and what I am going to try NOT to do anymore this year are:
say No to my 14-year old son about making it to his wrestling matches, or his football or baseball games, or NOT letting his friends spend the night or NOT letting his friends spend the night here or NO you can’t go to the movie on a school night, or NO I don’t have the time to sit down and talk right now, I’m busy making dinner or doing laundry or cleaning. What I AM going to do, is to take the time to pay attention to what is IMPORTANT to him AND to his friends and take the leave and go watch some of his games, and go to the movie with him and his friend when they ask me to, and sit at the dinner table and enjoy listening to him and his friends and what is happening in their lives – after all, that is what is really important.
Thank you Becca for the time to pause on what is really important!

This coming year I will not hoard lovely papers, threads and embellishments. I will use them and not keep them for the ‘right’ moment. I find that if I hoard them they then get lost and forgotten.
Thanks for the opportunity to win blog candy. I love coming to your blog to see what inspiration you are giving.

Thank you for offering such wonderful blog candy. I just love your work. In 2009 I have deceided to accept my family as they are. My sisters are 64 and 60 and not likely to change in their ways so I have decided to go with the flow.

Happy New Year. Thank you for the chance to win. This year I am NOT going to procrastinate. I tend to put things off & then forget to go back & do it. I’m going to try to be more organized by doing it NOW, not waiting until later. I’m going to sort through the clutter & work real hard at NOT letting it pile up again!

Thank you for your Blog….your inspiration and your generosity in sharing all your ideas and projects. This year I am not going to buy something new until I have used all the things I already have and need to use. It is a shame to have the amount of unused supplies that I have, and to still buy more “stuff”. Winning the Nestabilities would be wonderful (and not a purchase)! Thanks…

Love your site Becca. Do enjoy the quick jolts of inspiration. My resolution of what I am NOT going to do this year is I am not going to make myself do the laundry, clean the house, pay the bills, mow/shovel snow, cook, read and answer all my emails, etc before I can do something fun — like work on cards or go to a movie or visit with family and friends or something else I enjoy doing. Although that stuff needs to be done sometime, it can be done tomorrow and today I can enjoy myself without guilt. Life is getting shorter and I want to be remembered for my creativity and not my clean house (not that it is ever that clean anyway).

Happy New Year, Becca! I absolutely love your artwork. Thank you for sharing with us!
In 2009, I resolve NOT to diet! I will instead eat when I am hungry…trying to realize that being hungry does not make me lose weight!
And as many others, I resolve not to hoard everything that I own. Embellishments were made to be admired!

Thanks so much for another opportunity to win some scrumptious blog candy! I would love to start collecting those nesties!
The one thing I will TRY my very hardest NOT to do this coming year (with the good Lord’s help) is procrastinate. When I see something that needs to be done or made or whatever……..I will do it right away & not put it on the back burner like so many other projects that sit unfinished (like my embroidery that needs to be mounted).
Thank you for sharing your faith & your beautiful creations. You are so very talented & I appreciate getting a small glimpse into your world.
Happy Huggies for 2009!

How interesting to comment on what we are not going to do- love that idea!
1. I am not going to waste time…. either in front of the tv or too much time on the computer
2. I am not going to wait to start my Christmas projects for 2009 until August. I am starting in January :D and plan to be done by August.

Hello. Happy New Year! And thank you for this chance to win some yummy Spellbinders.
One thing I won’t be doing this yer is rushing out to get all the various crafty goodies I just think I must have. I look around at all I DO have and have to give a pause of gratitude, for I have my very own room that I call my studio filled with books, figurines, things I’ve made, and a variety of items for me to make oh so much more with. How fortunate is that? To a girl who grew up on “the wrong side of the tracks”, very poor, sometimes even unsure where her next meal might come from this is…this is unbelievable. I am so very lucky. So I’m going to be more mindful of what I DO have…..and NOT rush out to get those items I don’t have.
Thank you,
Angelique

What a wonderful possibility to receive a set of nesties.
Next year, instead of wishing or hoping I plan on do it. Using what I already have in my stash, revisiting my own stamps, punches and templates and by using my newer ink colors, and cardstock to do my best in creating with paper. I do hope to continue to reorganize my craft area so I will have an easier time to find those “special treasures” when I need them to complete a project .

I just love your work. I am going to try not to feel like i have to do everything for everyone, not worry about things so much, after all God is in control, he has it all planed out, we may not understand it but he knows what is best for us.
Happy New Year

Hello Becca,
I enjoy your site and get a lot of incentive. I do not make New Year’s resolution; gave that up long time ago. I live day to day and let the lord take care of my life knowing all shall be good. All the Best in 2009.

5:46 pm
Hi Becca, thank you for this great opportunity to win the blog candy. A resolution as to what I will not do is – not leave my craft studio messy over a period of 2 days. A really clean studio does not spark my creative mood. Happy New Year to You!
December 28, 2008
5:49 pm
You ask, I have an answer: I am going to use a small breakfast plate instead of a large dinner plate during 2009. I know this is doable and is something I can stick to forthe entire year. I will be trusting the Lord each day to remind me to make the correct choices to put on the “small breakfast plate”!!!!

Happy Holidays, and awesome Candy and Question! I love reading everyone’s response. This coming year, I resolve to NOT make any resolutions! This year was so wonderful, I want next year to be a repeat! The Lord has blessed our family, and there is nothing I would resolve to change!

Hi, Becca -
What great candy.
I plan NOT to horde all my cards and pretty papers! I want to share with friends and family by sending and giving sets as gifts.
I just love your blog and all your creativity! Thanks for sharing with us and a Happy New Year!

Thanks Becca for the chance to win! I think for this year I will try not to worry as much, especially about Money, this year has been good to me, with my ‘craft’ I have had more sales and God has always been there for us. When ever we have needed money God has come through for us..so I will rely more on God to Bless us and not worry. Thanks for the chance to win. Renee’

I will try this year NOT to accumulate too much “junk” around the house and I always worry about everything so I will try NOT to sweat the small stuff. I really do enjoy your blog and seing what you have new to show us.

6:07 pm
What an amazing blog you have! And what an awesome piece of blog candy. What I’m not going to do this year is to make a resolution I won’t keep. I should just keep striving to be the best me possible. That would include cleaning up my messes when I finish crafting, stressing over things a little less, and most importantly, spending more time in prayer and devotion with my Lord and Savior. If I do the last thing first, I will have peace and time for everything else.

Hi Becca,
Thank you for this opportunity to win such nice blog candy!
I don’t usually make New Year’s Resolutions but I hope for this coming year not to let past mistakes interfere with the enjoyment of the present.

Happy New Year!
Thanks once again for the opportunity to win such great blog candy.
My new year’s resolution is to be kinder and gentler and slow down. It really is important to stop and take time to smile and share a moment or two with friends and strangers as well. After all strangers have a way of becoming new friends.
A safe and prosperous New Year to everyone.

Hi Becca and thanks so much for the opportunity to win this lovely item! I wish you and yours the very best of new years! I would vow not to be late with family birthdays. I was always one for getting that card or gift there right on the date and now I find I am seldom on the date! Thanks, Joan

Love the candy that someone will win – very nice.
This year I am not going to mess up on a New Year’s Resolution. For several years I have not made one because I don’t have that much will power.
However, this past few months I have begun exercising and I love it. I have taken a break through the holidays so I could do the extra holiday stuff (unfortunately extra eating) – but I will be back to exercising and staying healthy. The older you get, one must be thankful for being healthy and working to stay that way.
Thanks, Linda

Thanks for the blog candy opportunity! I am going to try to be less lazy about showing my gratitude to people in tangible ways. There are so many people that make such a difference in my life, and I need to make sure I express that more often in words, or better yet, deeds.

Hi Becca,
Here’s what I’m not going to do next year…. P O U T when I don’t win blog candy!!! I resolve to be happy for the winner and remember she is probably “suffering” from the same addiction and desparately needs the blog candy. So, to the winner…”GOOD FOR YOU!” Now, go make something and “dry out, my friend!”

Hi Becca,
I am truly looking forward to the upcoming year. I am optimistic that our new president will bring some hope back to our struggling country. I am vowing to spend more time doing the things I love. This includes spending more quality time with my kids, continuing on with my weight loss (I have lost 38 lbs so far) and lastly crafting more! Lets see what the new year brings. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Holidays,

More fabulous blog candy – as well as gorgeous work to inspire!!
One thing I will definitely NOT be doing in the New Year is going on any dang diets! Tried it most every year and failed miserably, plus I have learned to love me as I am!
Another thing I won’t be doing is procrastinating! If something needs doing I am not going to get sidetracked at all!!
warm wishes

Hi Becca, thanks for your awesome creations and blog candy. I am not going to swear in 2009. I had thought about my resolutions for 2009 about a month ago and decided I was going to stop with the potty mouth. I know I can do it.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a nestie! This year what I’m not going to do it worry about things that I cannot change! Life is too precious and short to spend time worrying about these things! Thanks again and Happy New Year!

This year I am not going to procrastinate on all my projects that end up taking too much of my time when I should be with family.
Thanks for the chance to win and Happy New Year!

7:12 pm
Oh how I would LOVE this candy!! Hope I win :) And I love your new question and answer section!
My New Year’s Resolution to not do…..yell and scream at my kids so much. I get so tired of being the proverbial broken record then just start yelling and screaming…I hate myself when I do it and I certianly don’t want me kids to start hating me. I’ve been praying for more patience, more understanding, more guidance and I am deterrmined to take the breath and count to 10 to regain my composure just as we try to teach the kids.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Thanks for the opportunity to win the nesties. I got my first set (the ovals) from my DD for Christmas and have not had a chance to try them out yet… but soon.
I vow not to let all the stuff of life prevent me from spending time with family and friends. I will not plan my life away but take time to smeel the roses. And I will not say… when I retire I’ll do it.
Love your creations

Becca – thank you so much for a wonderful of inspiration! My goal this year is to NOT be late with birthday cards! I make all my cards and for some reason 30% are late! People love my hand made cards and I know they’ll love them even more when they come in advance and they have time to enjoy them! I’ve got six made for January birthdays! Hopefully 2009 will be an on-time year for me!!! Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win a great blog candy. I received my first set of nesties for Christmas and I love them. The one thing I will be doing for the new year is not putting things off, have a habit of saying I will do it later and you know the old saying “Later Never Comes”. Well I hope you and family have a wonderful and safe New Years….
December 28, 2008
8:06 pm
Thanks for the great blog filled with inspiration (crafting and spiritual) and for the awesome blog candy, Becca! You are going to make someone’s year get off to a great start with that, and I hope it’s me. But what I’m NOT going to do this year is waste money on stuff that I “have to have!” and then never use it. I WILL dig into my current stash for all my crafting and only allow myself one new item every quarter, and that’s only if I will use it immediately. Wish me luck!

First, thanks for giving away these fabulous prizes. I love your blog, especially the question and answer section you have added. I am not going to buy beautiful supplies and then put them up and not use them.
I really want to do more creative projects this coming year.

Hi Becca! Happy New Year to you and your family! This year I am not going to even attempt to make a New Year’s Resolution. Every year I make one, and every year I break it. Not fun! So this year, I’ll not make any and hopefully I can carry it through the year … lol! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win some nesties! I only have 1 set and would love to add to it!

I think my best thing to do in the new year is to let go and let God with out trying to regain control you know really let him work in my life. This year has been so hard yet I have so much to be thankful for I need to resume my Thankful journal and praise him for what I have.
December 28, 2008
8:30 pm
I won’t be making any New Year’s resolutions this year. I make them all the time and I break them just as often.
I won’t be doing any fad diets either.
I won’t be stopping shopping for new crafty supplies.
I won’t be using up all of my crafty stash.
I won’t stop buying paper.
Hahahaha. This was fun! I love your prize, too.

Whew! I just read all 247 comments – a lot of great ideas! Something easy: I am not going to get a tattoo (hee hee). Something hard: I am not going to put stuff off. Such as: sewing the button back on when it falls off instead of losing the button on my craft desk and leaving the blouse in a pile of mending. Something good: I am not going to forget to thank God for all my blessings before I go to sleep each night.
Thanks for the opportunity to win this set of Nesties! I absolutely love you blog and all you beautiful creations. Best wishes to you and your family in 2009!

Hi Becca,
I am not going to give up chocolate, stamping, surfing blogs, appreciating everyone’s wonderful creations and being inspired by all those like minded individuals that have a passion for stamping and papercrafting.
Best Wishes for the Festive Season and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to everyone!
December 28, 2008
8:34 pm
Let’s make it real by listing 3 (maybe that way at least one will be accomplished)
Reality – While I have to bring work home with me (it’s the nature of the beast in my job), I’m going to try SO VERY HARD, to leave the emotional frustration in the office AND try not to let it get to me as much as it does.
Crafting – I will not feel like I HAVE to buy something just because I’ve got a great coupon that “needs” to be used. (I’ve got plenty of “those” purchases that already need to be used :-) )
Life in general – I will not overload myself by trying to get everything done – it can and will all wait until another day, and I’ll feel better for not stressing about it.
Wishing everyone a very very Happy New Year.

8:40 pm
Hi Becca, I’m a frequent visitor to your blog (you’re on my “fav” list which I visit every day) and I absolutely love love love your cards! Thank you for the chance to win something, it’s appreciated! Something I won’t do in 2009……..I’m not going to go another year without making sure I help those in need. It seems I get busy with my own “stuff” and am perfectly capable of helping others and neglectfully put it off. Not this year! I’ll be making it a point to help others as much as a I can. Keep up the wonderful job you do on your blog and elsewhere in creativity land, you’re one in a million and we love ya! Pam

Thanks for the cool website and the chance to win!
I will NOT spend as much time surfing the ‘net as I did this year. I get lots of ideas, but then don’t make anything. My time on the Internet is as bad as my teen’s! There are so many interesting things…
Happy New Year. Janine

Becca,
I regularly read your blog and love your work. This blog candy is terrific – I only have the scalloped circles, which I love.
As for a resolution of something I will not be doing next year – I will try not to spend so much on craft supplies and magazines and use what I have.
Happy New Year,
Susan

Hi Becca,
This year I have vowed not to buy every new scrapbook item I see and to try not to buy something just because I have a good coupon to use at my local craft store! I have so many supplies….some I know I will never even get the time to use. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards….you are quite the inspiration. Would love the chance to win these Nesties.

Hope you have a happy, healthy new year ! I look forward to your many beautiful creations. I’m going to clean up and organize my stamping room, and I will TRY to keep it clean through the new year. I will not clutter up my stamping table so I have only a tiny 6″ x 6″ space to quickly stamp a card ! lol ! Thank you for the chance to win the nesties. I have the plain rectangles, and it would be nice to have the scalloped edge set. Happy New Year !

Your cards are amazing! Thanks for the opportunity to win the nestabilities. I can tell you that this coming year, I won’t let a day go by what I do not show encouragment and love to my family and friends. I will not allow the enemy to steal my peace and my joy.
God Bless You!

Hey Becca,
Thanks for giving us a chance to win the wonderful Nestabilities. I look forward to your website every day. Your cards are absolutely beautiful.
One thing I am going to try not to do in 2009 is let my back pain put me out for 3 weeks at a time this year. Have a Wonderful and Safe Happy New Year.
December 28, 2008
9:28 pm
Hi, Becca – Thanks for the opportunity to win the nesties! What am I not going to do this year? I’m not going to procrastinate any longer. For a long time, I’ve been just observing in the crafting world by looking at various galleries, blogs, magazines, etc. and I’ve been telling myself I should post my own creations or submit them to some of the popular publications. In 2009, I won’t just observe–I’ll be more of a participant. Thanks for all of your inspiration. Cathy

It’s interesting to read that so many “crafters” have the same thoughts that I do about impulse buying craft items and their crafting area! This year I plan to use what I have and not let Michaels, Joanns and Hobby Lobby coupons make me think that I must use them to “save” money!!! Also I don’t want to let my work area stay the disaster scene! I also don’t want to wait until a special holiday/birthday is upon me before beginning the creation of cards! Becca, thanks for the suggestion of choosing what I won’t do instead of making resolutions of what I will do!! You’re the greatest.

I am NOT going to try to lose any weight in 2009 and I am NOT going to allow the scary people who keep telling me that I am unhealthy because I am over weight to worry me. I would love to see some of the scrawny scary people keep up with me through just one of my days :) Happy New Year to everyone :)

Hi, Becca! Love your blog and your work, you are so talented!
I no longer make New Year’s resolutions, but I love your “will not do?” prospective. There are alot for me, but the two big ones are: 1) I will NOT worry about things that haven’t happened yet and things that are out of my control (Let go and let God, right?) and 2) I will NOT let others change me or who I want to be. I will be turning 40 in 2009, it’s time I be me, and only me, for me. I love to take care of others and do for them, but I must stop letting them twist me into some I don’t recognize.
Thanks for the opportunity to win the nesties, I’ve really wanted some for so long! They were on my Christmas wish list, but unfortunately I didn’t get any. Hopefully I can win these! Happy New Year to you, Becca!

Thanks for a thought-provoking question. I guess the way to phrase it for me is that I am not going to sit back and wait for other people to invite me to their house for fellowship. I am going to take the initiative more often this year and enJOY having people whenever I want a visit with friends.
December 28, 2008
9:50 pm
Hello! Love your creations & think you are very generous with your giveaways!
This year I have so many things I am NOT going to do. I am NOT going to let people at work get to me. It’s my job to tell them what to do – if they don’t like it, they will have to deal with it themselves!
I am NOT going to tell anyone (apart from all your readers :) ) that I am doing WW again this year. Yes, again! I will wait for them to tell me I am looking good when they notice – not because they think they should.
I am NOT going to give up M & M’s. That would be the ruin of me!! I know point 2 should rule out point 3 – but I am not going to follow that particular rule!!!
Hope you have a safe & happy new year!
Odette

Believe it or not, this year I will not get any more animals. (I hope I don’t have to eat these words). My children talk me into pets, they are so cute, they don’t cause too much trouble, they promise to take care of them…..guess who takes care of them. I’m not having as much fun playing hide and seek with the hamster as I once did and I know I can use the exercise but I make way too many trips around the block with these dogs. So, Mr. Pet Store Owner, don’t encourage us, please, we already live in a zoo

Hi Becca
Thanks so much for the chance to win these Nesties. And I hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a safe New Year’s!
My New Year’s resolution this year is not to make one that is unreasonable. Like dieting. Instead, I will make healthier meal choices.
Thank you again for this opportunity and for your wonderful and inspiring blog!

Thanks for the chance to win some awesome blog candy–you are so generous! This new year I am not going to say “I wish I’d” instead I am going to say “I’m glad I”. For instance-”I wished I’d spent more time with friends or family” instead “I’m glad I made the time to have lunch with a friend or family member. I want no regrets in 2009!
Happy New Year!

Becca — Love your blog and elegant cards. What great blog candy– I don’t have these but they’re on my list. I’ve been thinking alot about the new year and this is one of my two resolutions: I am not going to believe the lies of the enemy anymore — instead I am going to choose to believe what God says about me! I can’t wait to see what effects this has in my life. Happy New Year!
December 28, 2008
10:45 pm
Becca, I just wanted to pop over and say “hi”, and I found this post. Well, you’re right, I’ve enjoyed reading the answers. I’ve kept my resolutions in a stamping-related vein this year and, actually, they’re all basically things I will NOT do —
I will not stay up past 11:00 on work nights just to get a blog post done.
I will not let other things which are important to me take a back seat to stamping.
Those are just a couple of the “nots”. Thank you for so generously offering this blog candy to your readers!
December 28, 2008

I am not going to put off things that should be done now.

Being a SU demonstrator, I make lots of cards, but I never seem to actually mail them out — pitiful, I know. So my New Year’s Resolution is to send one card each day. Most my family is out of state and I do not get to see them very often. I plan to keep in touch with them by sending them “love notes” on a regular basis. So each week I will send 7 cards; I sure hope I can stick with it! Happy New Year everyone.

Hi Becca! The one thing I resolve not to do in 2009 is buy unnecessary supplies. My craft room is overflowing, and I have a major compulsion when it comes to shopping for supplies! Since I’ve been “practicing” for a few weeks, hopefully I’ll be able to continue this trend. This will save me *tons* of $$$, too, so no downside! Have a great holiday season!!

Becca
I want to first thank you for the opportunity to win some great blog candy. You are very talented and I look forward to seeing your new creations each day. I get great inspirations from them.
This past year has been a hard one for us since I was laid off work and my husband is disabled. Due to his health issues, I have made a decision (along with the push of our kids) to not go back to work. This will pose many challenges for this coming year. What I will NOT do is to stress and worry about lies ahead but trust in God for He will provide for us and guide us in the direction that we need to go.
Wishing you and everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.

I also don’t make New Years resolutions. I do try to give every day to the LORD and not take over. I guess Not taking over is a lifelong resolution. I enjoy your blog and the time you put into it. I am a new stamper and seeing your beautiful work is great inspiration for me. Thank you.

Happy New Year! I don’t usually make resolutions, so this is a GREAT question. So, I guess what I’m NOT going to do in 2009 is let myself focus so much on work that I don’t get to do the creative things I want to do. That’s why I started my blog and got back into crafting after a long, dry spell.
Thanks for you beautiful blog!

I have just found your blog and it is great, will definitely be coming back regularly. What I am not going to do in 2009 is wish my life away. Taking each day as it comes and making the most of that day.

What I will not be doing this year is make New Years resolutions – I really feel like you are setting yourself up for failure! What I am making a commitment to do is take my crafting to another level, creating more, selling myself and my abilities short less than in times past. Small goals, but hopefully with good results. Blessings, Becky G.

Hi Becca,
You do such beautiful cards – a great inspiration.
I am not going to complain and comment as much about what I don’t have as far as material things and appreciate what I do have. Things on earth are only ours to borrow and use for a short time while we are here.

I will try NOT to buy more scrapbook paper. I have enough for years.
I will try NOT to skip my morning devotions.
I got the WiZARD die cut machine and a few nestabilities for Christimas
but did not get this set so they would be a great addition to my Christmas present.
I love your blog.
Have a Happy New Year

I love your blog, Becca! What a generous gift your blog candy is! As for a resolution, I’m not going to buy supplies because they are the newest thing to get, only those things in my budget and that I know I will use (like nesties : ), and if I’m not using something, I’m going to give it away to someone who will!
Happy New Year!

Nestabilities are a sweet candy. Thank you.

Happy New Year Becca .This year I hope to make and send cards on time Thanks for the chance to win..

3:03 am
Becca, Thank you for the chance to win the deliscious blog candy with no calories.
One thing I am not going to do is stop making Christmas cards this year. I hope to keep making them all year, then I will have enough to sell at a craft show. Another thing I am not going to do or try hard not to do is clutter the dinning room table with all my craft/card stuff. For months on end we can not eat at that table as my stuff and projects are spread all over it. Another thing I am not going to do next year is buy the newest craft itme because it is the newest thing. I am going to be conservative with my crafting budget and buy only what I need not what I want.
December 29, 2008
3:47 am
I am NOT going to: eat right and lose weight, use the craft supplies I have before buying more, stop worrying, keep my stamp room clean, get things done right away, exercise and clean my house. New Year’s resolutions haven’t worked for me before, so maybe using a little reverse psychology will get it all done right!!! :)
Best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, Creative New Year!
Thanks for sharing all your wonderful artwork!

4:57 am
awesome candy Becca!!!! I will not buy so much stamping stuff this year. Before Christmas I spent weeks using up supplies that have been hoarded for the past year. I do not want to buy unless I intend to use it up right away!
I am looking forward to seeing your new creations for 2009!!

I love the comments! I too am going to try NOT to sweat the small stuff. It’s sooo hard … sometimes I just focus on something and think that my world is falling apart instead of just trusting God, that he has my best in mind. I’m also going to try to get off the computer, drooling over everyones cards and get to my scrap corner and get creating. Now what to do with all those cards? I’m going to send them to people … just because! Thanks for the opportunity at the blog candy – I haven’t tried Nestabilities but have been curious about them and wanting to give them a go. Thanks.

Thanks for offering the blog candy!!!
This year I will not ignore my own health. In November I suffered a compression fracture of one of my vertebrae. I learned I have severe osteoporosis at a young age. I had NO idea that I was not well in that regard! My desire is to return to good health so that I can serve the Lord and others for a long time to come!

Hope your Christmas was a very special one. Thanks for offering blog candy. I hope to make more cards and scrap more this year. Hope your 2009 is a wonderful one.

I am not going to hang onto the “clutter” in my life that keeps me from enjoying family time…this includes an abundance of stuff I don’t need, junk food I shouldn’t eat, people who waste my time with stupid situations they will not pray about or change, and committments that others hang on me, because as a SAHM who homeschools and has a home-based business, they think I am probably “not too busy.” LOL!
December 29, 2008
7:36 am
I’m not going to set a weightloss goal….I’m going to try to focus on overall health every day….work out when I can and just generally make more choices. Wonderful candy!

7:41 am
Your cards are absolutely beautiful and thank you for the opportunity to win some new nestabilities. I don’t have that set and would sure like to have it. The one thing I’m not going to do this year is buy so much stamping/scrapbooking stuff and use up the things I already have. Happy New Year!
December 29, 2008
7:55 am
Wow, Becca there are some amazing followers on your blog! Hope all had a wonderful holiday season. I am going to try really hard not to let the negative things in my life get the best of me this year (which means, spend more time on my knees and in my bible)…. thanks for the chance at the sweet blog candy. I can’t wait to see what you ‘accomplish’ this new year!
December 29, 2008
8:34 am
Happy New Year, Becca. Your cards are absolutely beautiful and give me so many ideas. I want to learn to have more patience this year. I want everything to happen — now!! I need to repeat the “Serendity Prayer” more often. Thanks for a chance at the “blog candy”. I don’t have this set and am new at the nestibilities. Keep up the good work (although it can’t be work if it’s something you enjoy – can it?!?)
December 29, 2008
8:52 am
I’m going to make myself sit down and use what I have in front of me instead of always trying new things. New techniques are wonderful but I end up not producing any cards. So the deal I’ve made is that I can’t do anything new until I’ve made half a dozen cards from start to finish with what I have within arm’s reach on my desk.
I want to thank you for your q&a section. I think it’s a real gem to show people that you don’t need to have access to high end stores to make beautiful cards. You make gorgeous cards with supplies from stores almost all of us have access to. It’s a valuable lesson in using imagination rather than expensive supplies.

I won’t be taking my parents health for granted this year! My Mom had a stroke Dec. 16th, and by the grace of our Father, we were able to get her to the hospital in the 3 hour window for stroke patients. She got the shot and praise the Lord, she has NO remaining symptoms of the stroke, other than being a little weak from being on the respirator for 3 days and lying in a hospital bed for 10 days. Daddy is in great health, but is 85 and mostly blind. God is so gracious to take care of us. And since I’m the primary care giver, I won’t be taking my health for granted, either! Thank you Father for Your unrelentless love and favor! Blessings to all!

What a great spin on new year resolutions! I had to think for a minute. I think my ‘un resolution’ will be that I am NOT going to spend so much time on the internet this year instead of working out. Everyday I say I am going to go for a walk or something and by the time I am done with email and surfing, the time is gone. So, I am NOT going to waste my mornings. Of course….I’ll still be stoppin HERE. :o)

Great blog candy! Thanks for sharing.
My goal this year is to NOT complain. I have so many blessings to focus on, yet somehow get sidetracked on negatives.

Next year I resolve to not take things people say about me too personally. I resolve to not cry over the things that I cannot control and to not put off praying until I need something. I resolve to not try to control my childrens lives and not to but into my grandchildrens lives. You see I find myself always putting my two cents in when it comes to my children and grandchildren.
I cry when people point out how handicapped I am and vow to let the remarks go and pray for God to give them understanding and compassion.
And I also resolve not to put off visiting your website to read your blogs … as I have found that it has given me strength … because of all the friends here.

Becca,
first of all, let me say I just love your blog. You are very inspirational and you have a great gift from God. I’m sure He blesses you with how you share it!
As for what I’m NOT going to do this year? Well, I’m NOT going to make any resolutions that I know I can’t keep. I’ve given up on saying I’m going to lose weight. But, I haven’t gained any either!! Yahoo!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Thanks for the blog candy! My resolution of what I’m NOT going to do in the coming year seems pretty lame compared to others – but I am going to TRY to not drink as much soda pop.

I would love to win this blog candy. I have stopped by your blog times before. Love your projects.
I am not going to proscratinate as much as I have this past year. I am going to have an agenda and stick to it.
Happy New Year.

This year I resolve NOT to start another diet. I’ve been doing this for the past 40 years, and I never get past the first month. So, I’m a bit overweight, but I’m healthy and content. If I don’t “try” so hard, and just start cutting back on the bad things for me, but still keep it in moderation, then I should be able to take off the pounds; but if I don’t, then I’ll be happy with the way the Lord made me. Thanks for giving us a chance at some blog candy Becca — have a safe and Happy New Year.
God Bless,
Debi E.

Beautiful cards, Becca. A friend just sent me a link to your site and it’s going in my favs. So many neat techniques to try. Thanx!
Next year I am NOT going to sweat the little things. It takes so much enjoyment out of daily life so I’ll concentrate on my blessings and not worry about the negatives.

11:52 am
Thanks, thanks for the chance to win the Nesties. I have a few and just love the looks they achieve. For this new year, I am not going to let my craft area get so taken over with storage of non-crafting stuff!! What a mess!
December 29, 2008
12:18 pm
Hi, love your creations! Only discovered you Becca a little while back, but what a huge and wonderful giveaway. For the NOT, I will not allow my craft to take over the whole house. I don’t have any nesties yet so it would be great to win. Thanks for the opportunity!
December 29, 2008
12:19 pm
Another opportunity to win something from you but what’s more interesting is this question…..’what I’m NOT going to do in 2009′. I’ve never thought much about this tho in the back of my mind the thought was there and I loathe the subject…..losing weight. HA! Okay, so I’m a bit healthy and definitely not anorexic and everything seems to be functioning well. So I’m NOT going to stop eating to loose weight deliberately. I’ll ‘modify’ my consumption and move some limbs a bit more often and train my left hand to do more stamping to even out the workout. Check back with me at the end of 2009 for a before and after comparison.
December 29, 2008
12:23 pm
Thank you for the chance to win!
I am not going to sit still come the new year. I need to exercise!
Take care and God bless.
December 29, 2008
12:26 pm
This year I am not going to buy paper at the half off sales or because it is pretty. I have purchased far too many paper sets that I end up using only one piece of the pack. Instead I am going to buy paper for projects as I need it instead of just because it is on sale or pretty.
December 29, 2008
12:27 pm
Happy New Year to you, Becca!!
I resolve NOT to leave clothes on the guest bed (my closet is in there) overnight — I tend to get quite a pile before they find their way back to the closet. I think this resolution will make my DH quite happy, as he is the Felix and I am the Oscar!! LOL
December 29, 2008
12:45 pm
Thanks Becca for the chance to win the fabulous nestie set.
I would like to not buy new stuff on a whim unless I have a few honest uses for it.
Wishing you, your family and all who read this blog a very Happy new Year.
God Bless x
December 29, 2008
1:50 pm
I will actually “not” be making a resolution this year. I want to work on just enjoying my life with my family and living each moment to it’s fullest. Befoe I know it, my children will be grown up and gone. Thank you to God for giving me such blessings.

I love that you are christian, a sister that uses the talents that God gave you in a way to bless others. Everyone can see the light of
Christ in what you do and that you share your ideals and talents and most of all in the Scriptures that you use in your works. Gods mighty word can do many great things in peoples lifes. Thank You! Blessings, Staci Merritt

2:37 pm
Tough question. I’m not going to but stamping supplies on a whim. I plan to spend more wisely and to use or give away what I myself don’t see myself using. Thanks for the opportunity.
December 29, 2008
2:39 pm
What a great question! I think next year I am not going to:
1- Go overboard on craft spending. Need to focus on using what I have more!
2- Wait forever to send out cards. I should send them as I make them.
3- Get discouraged with exercising and working out. I need to find a routine I like and stick with it.
4- Take my husband and family for granted.
Thanks for the wonderful chance!
December 29, 2008
2:55 pm
Hi, Becca: Happy, blessed New Year to you! I am NOT going to worry so much about my single-mom daughter and her children; my clients (I am the director (unpaid) of a nonprofit financial assistance organization providing assistance to over 900 households and, unfortunately, counting), what a wreck my house is in because I am so busy with the last item, my weight (never works anyway LOL) – ALL of these are in God’s hands and we “gain nothing by worrying,”, but gain everything by faithfully following Him. Wow, easier to say what we’re NOT going to resolve to do rather than what we are! So neat to know that God knows what’s best for us, isn’t it?! Thanks for the blog candy opportunity! Kris, Wadsworth, OH

3:04 pm
That’s some awesome blog candy, Becca! Can you believe that I don’t own ANY of these? Feel sorry for me? LOL!
I am really looking forward to 2009. 2008 is going down into the family record books as a year that we all want to forget. Although 2009 will probably hold it’s own challenges for our family, I am NOT going to let the stress of it all take over, physically or emotionally. I’ve got to remember that God is in charge!
December 29, 2008
3:10 pm
Thank you for your wonderful blog and for your beautiful creations. You are such an inspiration to me. It is so interesting that you can be an inspiration to people that you do not even know. This New Year I would like to start a blog so that I can inspire others just as many have inspired me. I just don’t know how to get started. All I know is that I would like to touch others in a way that I have been touched by others artists. Hopefully, i can figure out how to get started. Any help would be appreciated by anyone!
December 29, 2008
3:55 pm
I am really serious about this one. I won’t buy any craft/scrapbooking/stamping related items next year from January till November and that includes online purchases. The only exception is cardstock and adhesive because I always run out of them. I made my husband promise to keep me away from all those craft stores, even if I insist and bawl my heart out. The reason for this is that I want to focus on creating, not buying and hoarding. I want to use all the stuff that I have already on hand. So, that means I officially have 3 days left to buy whatever it is I need (or maybe want?) to buy. And when the clock strikes 12 on January 1st…. *crossing my fingers and toes!*
:D

Hi Becca!
Happy New Year! Hope our Lord blessed you beyound your wildest dreams in 2009! In the coming year I am not going to smoke! I am sick and tired of it…so disgusting but am so addicted! This year I am making a clean break away from it…and I can’t wait!
December 29, 2008
4:59 pm
Hello Becca, This year I am not going to worry so much about everything and everyone. I’ve done that all of my life and it’s taken it’s toll on my body and health. A few weeks ago I suffered a stroke, not the regular kind of stroke mind you, it was caused from a migraine headache! (migraines constrict the blood vessels, and this one constricted tight enough and long enough to cause a stroke) Anyway all caused by stress and worry. I’m working on it now and will continue to the rest of my life. I’m sooooo worried about it….just joking I’ve put it in God’s hands and what ever happens is his will. Thanks for sharing your awsome talent. g

Hi Becca,
Can you believe the number of comments made…wow.
This year I am NOT going to go into a scrapbooking store without a list.
If I go in to browse, I just spend more than I should.
I will try to stick to whatever I need not want.
Thanks for the chance to win the nestabilities…thanks for you kindness.
Happy New Year everyone.

5:30 pm
Hi Becca, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards with everyone. And for the chance to win some great blog candy. This year I am going to try NOT to let my Mom’s scrapbooking projects sit around my house gathering dust. I volunteered a year and a half ago to do these for her grandchildren (7), including my daughter, as she just wasnt sure how to do them. I love scrapbooking so I said hey I will help. I brought them home but didnt start right away. Then I had 4 hospital stays and 3 surgeries this past year. You would have thought I would have had the time since I didnt work during those recoveries, right? But this year God will be in control way more than me and we will get them started as soon as Christmas decorations go back in the attic. Sorry so chatty but thank you again. God Bless You & Happy New Year!!
December 29, 2008
5:36 pm
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Becca and that God will bless you in the New Year!! This year I want to take life as it comes and enjoy all of the many blessings God has given me. There are so many people out there who are suffering with illness, loneliness, etc. This year I do not want to focus on what I don’t have or what I wish I had or looked like. I will not focus on what I don’t have but thank God for each day and each blessing he has bestowed upon me. I will not put things or tasks that need to be done before my children, family or friends. I pray that I can be a blessing to others.
December 29, 2008
5:39 pm
One thing I am NOT going to do this year is get so upset with stupid
people that cut me off in traffic. Instead I will just let them go and
focus on positive things that help me feel better. Happy New Year.

What am I not going to do this year? Interesting twist!
I think I am not going to start any new hobbies! I am not going to buy, buy, buy scrapbooking supplies because it’s on sale and I “might need it some day”. I am not going to start any more quilting projects until I use up my stash. Whew! That was easier then I thought.
December 29, 2008
6:25 pm
HAPPY NEW YEAR BECCA. I AM FAIRLY NEW AT VISITING YOUR BLOG AND NOW A GREAT FAN. ONE THING I WILL BE WORKING VERY HARD NOT TO DO IS PUT THINGS ON MY CARDS CROOKED. I TRY AND TRY AND ALWAYS END UP PLACING SOMETHING CROOKED. THAT IS MY FOCUS FOR THE NEW YEAR OF MAKING CARDS.
December 29, 2008
6:34 pm
These comments are awesome, I don’tlike to make promises/resolutions I can’t keep so I’ll have to say that I’m not going to do that. I will try to do at least one challenge a week though to keep my mojo going. Thanks, SharriC

7:02 pm
Hi Becca, I so want to win these. I’m in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and so far I haven’t found a place to buy these and I really, really want them. Oh, and I’d like to thank you for making all the beautiful cards. You have a big time talent and a real elegance to your work. I look everyday.
I try not to make resolutions for a specific time but rather do what needs doing when it needs doing. I think I will try not to bother about things that are out of my control and focus on what I have control over.
All the best to you in the coming year!!
December 29, 2008
7:05 pm
Gosh, let’s see…..there are so many things I would like NOT to do. I would love to not hoard my paper. I need to use it up to make room for more! I’d also like to NOT drink so much Coke Zero/Diet Coke. It is my drug of choice, along with food. Maybe 2009 is the year! Thanks for the chance to win!
December 29, 2008
7:16 pm
I will be better at putting things away and not letting stuff pile up (especially on my kitchen table)..Thanks for the opportunity to win some new Nesties. Happy New Year to one and all!
December 29, 2008
8:21 pm
Becca- Your cards are the most beautiful and creative cards I have ever seen! As for what I am NOT going to do in the new year- I will NOT let my Bible set idle on the bench every week between Sundays. And I will NOT waste time on the computer playing solitaire. I will NOT forget people’s birthdays and I will NOT let all my stamp stuff collect more dust! Have a wonderful and blessed new year! Thank you for all your inspiration!
December 29, 2008

What a funny idea! I am not going to think that I have to use EVERY single ACMoore and Michael’s coupon. I have to remember there will be one the next week too!!!

8:38 pm
Becca,
Thanks so much for the chance to win some Nesties. Love those things. Wow, more than 300 people commented to hopefully win them !
Anyways, I will not let the negative things in my life effect my mental health. Instead I will continue to trust the Lord to worry for me. I have already begun working on this during tha last half of 2008. Becca, your encouragement and your blog have been a huge help to me in this endeavor.
Blessings,

9:03 pm
Hey Becca, what is on you list of not to do for 2009? I would love to know.
For 2009, I will make less lists of things to do and perhaps finish one of them. I will not make lists of thing that I cannot achieve in a week, let alone a day. My New Year’s Day to do list will look something like this:
Wake up late
Drink Coffee (An every day miracle is when I do not have to make it)
Watch TV-no particular time
Call family to wish them a Happy New Year
Eat
Eat more
Eat again
Go to the beach and commune with God
Sleep
This will be a year of accomplishments, no matter how small, to be celebrated.
December 29, 2008

This year I will not waste my time on anything. I will stay productive and I will NOT gain anymore weight! Thanks so much have a wonderful New Year Cynthia

I will stop looking at blogs and not leaving notes of encouragement for the host. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there every day and hope people are moved by what you have to say. It is common courtesy to respond, even to say, “Just stopping by to say Hi” or when visiting your blog, “just stopping by to see what AMAZING things have sprung from your imagination”
December 29, 2008
9:45 pm
Hi Becca,
Thanks so much for an opportunity to win these Nesties. The one thing I will try not do next year is let clutter pile up too long.
Have a Happy New Year!

I hope that this year I will not say ‘yes’. I work part-time and I seem to think that I have all the time in the world to do the many tasks that I am asked to consider doing. I have ended up working full-time hours :<). I need to get some time free so I can do my paper crafting! Let’s hope that I can do this.

What I will try not to do… complain, for I have been abundantly blessed.
Be unkind, for I have been lavishly loved. Think evil of some one, for when I was in a worthless state, He thought of me as” precious in His sight”.
Thanks for sharing.

This year I am going to try to get outside more. After all, I moved to FL from ME to enjoy good weather, and I find myself at the computer too much…so, will still be here, but not as much.

The one thing I am not going to do this year, is make a New Year’s resolution. They never seem to work. Thanks so much for the chance to win the awesome nesties set.

In 2009, I am going to try to not let my supplies pile up. I rarely see a paper that I don’t like, and I need to use more of them instead of hoarding them.
Thanks so much for the chance to win the Nesties! They really help to spice up a card. Thank you, too, for sharing your wonderful blog with us! You inspire me with every entry!

Hi. Great question! So many possibilities — smile. I’m NOT going to spend more time planning and reading about doing things (including creative endeavors) than actually DOING the things. But I’ll always have time for your blog– it’s inspiring on so many levels. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Becca! I hope your Christmas was very merry!
Thanks for the opportunity to win these Nesties, you are very generous! This year I resolve to…NOT diet. They don’t work and they make me miserable. I will strive for healthier eating habits and a bit more movement. Notice I did NOT say exercise! LOL!
Thanks again and have a wonderful New Year’s Eve.
Blessings~

Becca, you ARE Amazing Grace to me. I am never disappointed when I come to visit your blog.
In the new year….I am NOT going to purchase any new craft goody that I take home and JUST LOOK AT. I am NOT going to let my lack of space hinder me any longer!! You have inspired me …. to AIM higher. My Mother was and my Sister is an artist. Truly gifted at hand. I … am not. BUT…card making is something I can do, and well enough to be appreciated by those around me. I am NOT going to purchase another gift, as the ideas are endless to items that I CAN MAKE!!! AND I know I have the supplies to make them.
Thanks Becca……

Well, in the new year i plan to appreciate my family even more. health issues have been on our minds lately, and i feel like everything will work out fine (it’s what you tell yourself), and hopefully they will. i need to make a point of making sure my loved ones know how important they are to me.

Wow, what great blog candy. Thank you for the opportunity. Also I wanted to wish you a very happy, healthy & creative New Year. You always inspire and may you continue to do so.
Hmm, what will I not do. I could probably write a book on what I would like to stop doing (don’t worry I won’t write it here lol). I’ve nodded knowingly at many of the comments.
I think THE most important one is: I will not take my family and friends for granted. I will not hesitate to let them know how I feel about them.
I will not allow negativity to creep into my subconcious dialog.
and I will not allow procrastination to dictate my life.
Thanks again Becca!
Cheers!

Like many other posts about weight that’s always my resolution. Some years I do better than others but this year I’m really going to try. Probably not going to worry so much in general – it is what it is will be my new mantra.

I would love to win the Nesties…this exact one is on my wish list!
Great idea to decide what not to do this year! I think for me one of the biggest things I need to work on is Not doubt myself so much. I am my own worst critic about everything…how I look, what I cook, what I craft. I realize it is setting a very bad example for my daughter. I want her to be confident and strong inside but I have to be a role model for her.
So here is wishing everyone a positive 2009!

Happy New Year, Becca!! In 2009, and hopefully forever, I will not complain about the things I cannot change at home and especially at work. I will be more grateful for the many gifts in my life. Thanks for the great nestie’s blog candy. God’s blessings to all!!

Happy New Year, Becca!
I echo many of the gals when I say your work is some of the most beautiful I’ve seen and has inspired me to take mine to a whole new level.
In the new year, I am not going to walk in Christ alone; meaning, I have asked another pastor’s wife to be my accountablility partner. Too often, we (PWs) feel we have to always have it “together” and don’t feel we have anyone other than our husbands to confide in. No more! I now have someone in my life to ask me the hard questions that I feel I can truly confide in. So if I don’t win the nestabilities, I’m already a winner!

Hello Becca! Your blog is always a “go-to” when I need inspiration and you always make me feel good! I am so thankful that you share all your talents with us!
This year I am going to try to give up some non-productive things in my life that steal my time away! I am cutting down on my must see TV shows, and trading that for creative for me! I am also trying to be more organiz
