Becca Bit: Round Folded Flower Embellishment

Hi there you sweet things!!  Ugh, I know I’m scarce, I’m working on some stuff behind the scenes but I took a break to make a quick video showing the much requested round origami thingies I used on my JustRite Card last week.   Hey, are you on the fence about the new Scor-Buddy?  I got mine this afternoon so you can take a peep at it in this video.  It’s so cute and it’s perfect for my workspace.   It has 1/8″ lines and 1/4″ lines – hallelujah!!! You know the way you felt about your Scor-pal?  Same feeling here, only better!!  If you haven’t preordered yours yet – I’m tellin’ ya, you’ll want to get on the list!! Okay, so on the the video – it’s short and sweet so don’t blink okay?  (P.S.  I know some of you will ask this – the tool that I use with my Scor-Pal/Scor-Buddy is simply an embossing tool – remember brass stencils?  I use that as well as the plastic tool that comes included – they both work the same :-)

Big Hugs Friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by :-)

Hi Becca, this is such a wonderful idea, I tried your flowers the other day and used my small scalloped spellbinders to cut them out so they have a rippled edge. I like the idea of scoring them rather than folding like I did. It has a crisper edge. Thanks so much.ReplyCancel

    Becca,
Thanks for sharing this with us. Thank your friend for us also. I was reading a previous comment above, how someone tried this using the scalloped circle die. Sounds like something else to try. Thanks Wendy (hope you are reading this). Sounds like it would also make a cute & fancy medallion.

i just noticed the way i spelled your last name. Sorry Becca, my 68 year old mind can’t seem to remember a lot that it should. That was Becca Feeken, folks, in the last comment. Sorry.ReplyCancel

Thanks, Becca. Amazingly simple when it looks so complicated. I do have a question. You seemed to just put the circle ‘anyplace’ on the Scor-Buddy and scored the center. I’d have to start from the side and count how many slots there are, divide by two, and then count over to that slot, KWIM? What’s your secret?ReplyCancel

Another great Becca Bit..I tried this myself from just looking at the flower..hee hee hee…Mine came out more like a flower sort of like a little rose..

A great card and a great Becca Bit..I didn’t notice the top lip turned up so I didn’t do that and it came out great anyway…

    Good show.
