April Fools Day Fun

To kick off April Fools Day I want to show you my newest card.  Isn’t it purdy?  {Insert mischievous grin here}  It’s not mine – April Fools!!  All of the designers at Our Daily Bread Designs have indeed been up to a little mischief!  Today is a new release day for us but we’re not doing a Blog Hop instead we thought it would be fun to play a little game, and you can play too!  We each cased another DT member then sent our card to that person to post on their blog today.  We want to see if Kelley, the owner at ODBD, really knows her designers because we’re asking her to guess who made each card.  Here’s how you can play:

It’s easy!  Today if you leave a comment on each DT members blog including the ODBD Blog then email Grace at gnwening@yahoo.com to let her know you’ve completed the rounds, your email will enter you in the chance to win a $15.00 Gift Certificate in the ODBD store. Two winners will be randomly chosen; you have until 8:00m EST on April 2nd to complete the requirements.   Hey, if you’d like to submit your guesses include them in your email to Grace.  She will be giving recognition to the person or persons who correctly guesses the most.  If you arrived here from Debi Southard, you’re in the right place.  As always, if you want to see the hop rules, reach a dead end or want to see the sequence for the hop, the roadmap and rules for the hop can be found on the ODBD BlogOkay, now on to the card for today:

What a beautiful CASE, using one of my favorite layouts.  My accomplice here created a perfect Mother’s Day card complete with beautiful toile paper that has figures of women on it.  In fact she embellished the center of the ribbon with one of the women.   She is using one of the four new sets released by Our Daily Bread Designs today – you can see them HERE.  The sentiment is from the new set called Mom.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Mom
Paper:  Cream, Textured Cream, Black, Patterned Paper – Paper Studio Black and Cream Toile
Ink:  Black
Accessories:  Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch, Ribbon, Foam Tape, Pearls, Cuttlebug Flourish Borders, Spellbinders™ Labels 2, Black Marker, Hole Punch

I’ll be sharing the card I created with the new set some time this week after the contest is over :-)  In the meantime, to continue along to see what the other ODBD designers have collaborated on, your next stops are Kathy Jones, Lorelie Kim and Randi Barrett.

This is gorgeous, Becca. I’m sure it’s your work, or someone else is complimenting you on your style. You know how they say imitation is the best form of flattery. If it’s not yours well shame on me, I would know your work anywhere or at least I should, I’ve been admiring it long enough. Sounds like you gals are having some good old fashioned fun. TFS!!! :-DReplyCancel

I don’t have the time to participate in this event, but I did go look at the other designer’s blogs to see if I could spot your card, and with the exception of the one with the big pink bow, this one looks the most like what I would expect from you (all those beautiful shapes and layers). I love the border, the pearls, the flourishes, the shape! I’m at a loss, unless the “April Fools” is that you really do have your own card. Haha!ReplyCancel
