Hi there friends! Good morning! I jump anytime I get to share a baby card because I simply don’t get to make enough of them. This one is an easy 30 minute card using one of my new border dies – but all is not as it seems! You might have to look twice but this border is working double duty by creating a background. I’m also popping in this morning to announce the winner of the Platinum Six Machine!
First things first! Thanks for all who left comments to with the wonderful new Platinum 6 Machine by Spellbinders. I’ll post the name on the Giveaway Page but wanted to highlight it here too. The winner simply needs to reach out to me through my contact page at the top right of the screen and send their address.
For the card I simply cut a 5″ x 7″ mat layer and ran it through my die cutting machine three times with the Graceful Eyelet Border (US) (UK) – once to the left, once to the right and once to the center then backed with blue paper so that it would show through the eyelets. I cut the squares eyelet edge that looks like filmstrip on both sides of a 2″ strip of silver foiled card stock, added ribbon and a die cut “So Sweet” using Spellbinders Simply Said Phrase Set One. Centered behind the cross piece I added three varied sized circles using Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and stamped some sweet elephants on blue gingham paper. The final touch as always, pearls and a bow.
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Solar White – Cover – 80lb smooth, Papertrey Ink – Spring Rain, The Fine Touch Silver Poster Board, Gingham – digital paper
Accessories: Spellbinders Simply Said Phrase Set One, Amazing Paper Grace by Spellbinders – Graceful Eyelet, Spellbinders Standard Circles LG, Recollections Pearls, The Paper Source Satin Ribbon – White

Congratualtions to the winner. Cute baby card Becca.
What a beautiful sweet baby card. I too jump at the chance to make baby cards as they are so rare to give. I have a question that I’ve been wondering about and that is how do you attach the ribbon to the paper underneath without showing any marks of glue or tape? It’s a million dollar question as I haven’t heard much said about the tough stuff to glue like vellum as well. Thanks Becca!
Wow, that is a sweet card – love the look of eyelet, perfect for a baby card!
