Waltzingmouse Stamps – February Releases – Preview Day 1

by on February 26, 2012

Hi there blog friends!  I know, right?  You’ve been waiting with baited breath for a new release – (whispers) it’s here!!  Oh my word, you have no idea what you’ve in for over the next couple of days.  Okay then sit down and hold on tight – little surprises!  I get just as excited about a Waltzingmouse Stamps new release as you do.  There are lots of fabulous new sets on the way (nine of them) and today the first set by Waltzingmouse Stamps that we’re previewing is called French Country.  I layered up a couple of Spellbinders looking for curvy embellishment and filigree ornateness to go with the french provencial flavor of this set.  I built my medallion by starting with Spellbinders Grand Labels Twenty Three then adding Spellbinders Floral Ovals followed by Spellbinders Labels Twenty Five and Spellbinders Twisted Metal Accents and Tags.  Lastly I created a side flap using Spellbinders Classic Edges Two and Spellbinders Classic Decorative Inserts Four.

For the Bon Appetit sentiment I cut a fishtail into a strip then stamped and curved the paper.

Next I used the Make Your Mark set.  I thought it would make a wonderful gift to give a friend by giving them premade enclosure cards.   So I created a box 4″ x 1″ and put a divider inside so that I could organize the contents.

The lid is made using Spellbinders Classic Edges One and Spellbinders™ Classic Decorative Inserts Five.

Inside there are a variety of enclosure tags with holes (for easy attachment) and tags made using Spellbinders Labels Twenty Five and an accent piece from Spellbinders™ Home Sweet Home.  In the last compartment I enclosed some linen thread for attaching the tags – sweet and simple!

SUPPLIES I USED
StampsWaltzingmouse Stamps – Make Your Mark, French Country
Paper:   Kraft,  Die Cuts With A View (Chateau Lavender), Bazzill, American Crafts, Xoedx Brilliant White
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Versafine Vintage Sepia, Colorbox Chalk Ink – Rouge
Accessories:Spellbinders Grand Labels Twenty Three, Spellbinders Floral OvalsSpellbinders Labels Twenty Five Spellbinders Twisted Metal Accents and Tags,   Spellbinders Classic Edges Two, Spellbinders Classic Decorative Inserts FourSpellbinders™ Home Sweet Home, Spellbinders™ Classic Decorative Inserts Five, lace, prima flower, recollections pearls, seam binding, prima lace, pearl pics, satin ribbon . linen thread

I certainly amazed myself by looking at your beautiful card that I thought it looked very French Country before I even started reading. I’ll add beside the French Country look it also has a shabby chic look to it also. Just so eye pleasing and so well put together. The little boxed gift set is just lovely. Beautiful work Becca, As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D

It is amazing what is on the release line-up from WMS, and I am anticipating a Very Empty Wallet, enabled by your examples here. Again, I thank you, even if it makes my wallet sulky ;-D
