Waltzingmouse Stamps – December 2014 Release – Day 3

Card making ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps - Vintage Postcards - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning blog friends!  Welcome back to Day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps December Release.  As you can tell, I’m on a vintage kick and so I found a way to weave one of the swoonworthy little post cards into my card today.  You’ll be able to see the full sets tomorrow!  I recently found a stack of vintage looking papers at Hobby Lobby.  I know they were meant for display but I snagged them anyway knowing I could use them for cardmaking.  When I got them home, I was disappointed to see that the top couple of papers were aged but in the middle of the stack, they were not.  Since the stack of papers was a decorating knick-knack, I could only be mad at myself.  So then I decided to tea dye a batch of the papers myself – I love the results – that’s what I’m using for my pennants hanging down at the bottom of the card.

Becca, I’m getting myself in trouble here, but I’d do the same as you and grab those decor ideas, hey, if you can’t find it in the regular stack and its on display, it just calls my name!!! LOUDY!!!!! I love your cards as you well know and this one no less! Awesome use of tea dye! Have to do it myself. I want to know where you live so we can get together and make some cards!!!! I’m in central Ohio, but I’m willing to drive hours, days. . .if it takes to work with you sweet Becka!ReplyCancel

Well, if she agrees…I’m in NC and would pay to spend one day with her….just watching her work! We’ll all meet where ever she is and have a Creative Party! :)

I’ve done the same thing at craft stores…(some take it in stride but then others think I’ve lost my mind and get indignant about disturbing the “display”.
This is a very pretty card!ReplyCancel

Becca, I absolutely love your cards, and have since I first saw one years ago. I love the vintage, feminine, slightly shabby chic look. I personally, have never been able to pull this style off! I would love to spend a day, or week, or month with you watching you create and learning from you. Alas, all I have is your website, which I return to regularly for inspiration.
