Waking Up Panicked

Hi there blog friends, I want to thank you for coming out yesterday and adding your kind thoughts and best wishes to my kit kick off.

I have a little admission to make – I’m plum out exhausted!!   Have you ever had this happen to you — you’re a little bit tired, and you move your work to the sofa then before you know it you get a little bit comfy then before you know it you’re laying down?  Although you don’t intend to sleep, you sleep and you sleep very well.  Then when you wake up, you have no idea what day it is, what time it is and when you look outside it’s daylight.  And, you panic – you don’t know how long you were out and you’re stuck in a state of total confusion.  It takes a minute to figure out exactly where you are, lol!  Well, that’s what happened to me today.  I fully intended to have something to show today, but I woke up at 7:30am.

Well no worries, because although I don’t have anything to show – all the ladies on the JustRite Design Team put their creative muse to work, making different things out the die templates and stamp set included in the September Kit.  I’ll warn you in advance – many of them have used those items in a delightfully unexpected way, and they showcase such wonderful ideas beyond the standard use I demonstrated.  Take a peek if you get a moment in your day:

    Hi Becca,
Isn’t that the most discombobulating (hmmm sp?) lol! It is so weird to wake up and not know where you are or what time of day it is … but I have found that that kind of experience usually happens after the most luscious sleep! It alas doesn’t happen often enough but oh yum when it does! (smile).

I rec’d your post yesterday about your new adventure and I am so stinkin’ proud of you! You go girl… I know that’s a bit out of date but I still love the phrase! I hope to be able to subscribe … it is such a great idea. I have thought to myself often, “self, wouldn’t it be fabulous is someone packaged dies and stamps into a monthly kit format” and voila… you heard me! (smile)

OK, that’s enough babling on my part. I truly wish you all of the best in the whole wide world my friend!

    Giant hugs,
    Beth PReplyCancel

    MY DEAR GIRL,
You are just totally burned out from keeping your secret from us for 3 days!!! LOL Just Gods way of telling you to slow down and smell the roses. You obviously were mentally fatigued. I have enjoyed doing the little blog hop but absolutely have to tell you that NONE compare to your work. You just don’t know how much you inspire people. GOD gave you so much talent and I just want to say that I am so glad I found your blog. I hope I can afford to get a membership but for right now it just isn’t possible. Keep showing us your wonderful work.

Becca, that has never happened to me unless I was heavily medicated from the doctor or I was sick. From helping your daughter and this fantastic adventure you are doing no wonder you were exhausted and I bet it’s been the best sleep you have had in a while. TFS!!! the links with us. Ok I do that too!!!! It seems I get to watching (Criminal Minds) TV and before I know it, I’m easing down on the couch and then when my glasses come off…I’m down….and it’s the best sleep ever….but I do wake up and the first thing I do is see what time it is…..and hoping I haven’t sleep all afternoon….we all need the extra sleep sometimes….so don’t worry about us….just sit back and relax…..
PS I wish I could get your program….which is the best one around….but sense I don’t have a job and I have to relied on my DH….it’s just not in the budget…I wish it was…ReplyCancel

The good Lord has a way of slowing us down when we try to keep on going and hit that wall of exhaustion. I have been there more than once, so I understand your exhaustion.

Whew, I thought I was the only one who did that. Waking up with not a clue what day it is , time it is , or where you are. Hearing you did it too, well , I feel better now. : ) I am glad you slept, sometimes when we over do it our bodies just say, “okay, enough, sleep whether you like it or not” Ha-Ha….. Hope it helped you . God bless my cyber friend…. God bless….. DeniceReplyCancel

  • BetsyAugust 16, 2012 - 11:59 am

Your body knows when it needs to rest ~ just follow its lead!! Everyone deserves to get a good rest! That happens to me sometimes ~ either I fall asleep and wake up minutes later thinking I’ve been asleep for hours, or just the opposite happens and I fall asleep for hours and wake up thinking I’ve just taken a little nap! Sure makes you feel out of sorts for a bit!
I’m so excited to get my first kit ~ I signed on for the gold club ’cause I don’t want to miss out on getting any of them!
Have a wonderful day, Becca! Hugs!ReplyCancel

  • MaryannAugust 16, 2012 - 12:26 pm

Don´t feel bad hun, we all get to the point some times, where we just need that rest, and you sure did after a long time with sooo much going on. I think, the body has it´s own way to make us listen, when we try to ignore it too long. So don´t panic, just listen to your body and do as it ask you to do and relax, we´ll all still be around here, when you´re back with new strenght again hun.
Have a wonderful day and lots of fun in your new playgrpound here, but don´t overdo it hun.ReplyCancel

  • SianAugust 16, 2012 - 1:07 pm

Oh Becca, you obviously needed a good rest! I hope you feel rested :)

I hate that feeling of panic when you wake up and have no idea where you are, what time it is or even what day or year it is!

You’re so funny Becca. Yes – I have woken up after a nap and felt like I was in the Twilight Zone (not the Vampy kind either…lol). Sounds like your body got the rest it so desperately needed. In the words of Martha Stewart, “It’s a good thing”.ReplyCancel

  • OkienurseAugust 16, 2012 - 3:24 pm

Becca hang in there and don’t get too panicked! Even good changes like what you are bringing about will cause stress in your life and it takes time to adjust! I love the kit of the month idea. I can’t afford it right now but as soon as possible I plan on joining. Great value for all that you get! Love your work. You are awesome!!ReplyCancel

  • Charlene LeBelAugust 16, 2012 - 4:35 pm

I like the Kits, but, I’m afraid they are a little too expensive for me. I’m a senior citizen and I have to watch my money. I was surprised at the shipping cost too. I wish I was a little younger and still working and then maybe I could afford to order.
Best of Luck to you in all you do. God Bless You.ReplyCancel

Congratulations on your new venture, Becca. Although I didn’t comment on earlier posts, my guess was that you were creating custom dies for Spellbinders. Boy…did you prove me right in a BIG way. I went to the website to see about ordering and was both encouraged and bummed that the individual kits have already sold out. I hope that means the quantity of “non-member” kits will be increased for those of us who can’t commit to a monthly charge at this point.

Once again, congratulations. God has blessed you with a talent for beauty. I can see Him smiling at how you are using it from my laptop screen!!

Becca, I have joined the gold club and am very excited. Your creativity does inspire to spend more time doing what I love when I am not being a nurse. I was a little shocked at the shipping and that there wasn’t a choice for a lower shipping price. If ever there is an option, let us know, which I know you will. Oh My Goodness! I woke up and opened email to a big surprise today! I have been WAY behind in following my favorite blogs (yours is on top of the list) but I received an email from ScrapMart announcing your Kit Club-Congratulations! I am SO happy for you, and for us of course!!! How exciting is this ( and alot of hard work I’m sure), but it will be much appreciated. I love how everything is included in the kit, including full color directions. As soon as it fits into my budget, I will be signing up for sure! (think my husband would mind skipping groceries for a week, so I can get Sept’s kit–only joking of course!!). I am sure it is priced very well for the value and I look forward to participating when I can. The best of luck to you, and I just know you will be a great success! You are so talented and creative, in such a special way, that brings out the bit of creativness we need to get involved in projects like these. Now the quality supplies will be availabe for everyone to have delivered to them–how great is that? Congrats again!!! -StacyReplyCancel
