Victorian Best Wishes

Remember, I have blog candy running through Sunday, June 27th, you can see the post HERE.
Hi there!!  All month I’ve been playing around with these new rectangle nested frames from JustRite Stampers. All over my work table I’ve had several cards in various stages of production.  I finished this one up to share and the jury is back in – I just love working with the frames.  In this card I turned the frames on end and made them into windows.  I’m using the new JustRite set called Victorian Nested Frames. ( I stabilized the double frame windows by seating my stamps in the Clear Horizontal Stamper – psst, it’s see through).

I stamped the frame then cut it with Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles SM  #4.  For some weight on the bottom I added two borders with Spellbinders Classic Lace Border Grand and Spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Grand.  With all the elements in place I cut a Spellbinders Classic Frame and cut it down so that it would fit the sentiment.  I finished it off by lacing sheer ribbon through the frames and tying a bow.   Of course I don’t consider it complete until I can attach a couple of pearls :-)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stampers – Victorian Nested Frames
Paper:  The Paper Company – Blonde Columns, Pink with Gold Dots, Golden Weave
Ink:  Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Long Classic Rectangles SM, Spellbinders™ Classic Lace Border Grand, Spellbinders™ Classic Frame, Spellbinders™ Big Scalloped Border Grand, Ribbon, Pearls

Can you believe the weekend is almost here!! I’ll see you soon friends!

Such a beautiful card Becca. It has such an elegance to it as do most of your cards. I love the colours you have used. It has an old world charm about it. Once again you have given us your super ideas.

The card is beautiful. I’m still trying to grow up and be creative like you! (LOL) I’m so sorry to hear about your friend Mackey. I will be praying for him. I just lost a friend of over 30 years to the same thing. But we that are in Christ don’t have to weep as those who have no hope. We will see them again in that “Great Gettin’ Up Morning!” One thing I will never forget is that one Day Jesus DIED so that I may LIVE.ReplyCancel

Your card is BEAUTIFUL as Always!

I used to have some of that dotted paper, and my Michael’s doesn’t carry it anymore. boo hoo…………So, I made my own using the dotted swiss cuttlebug embossing folder and gold ink. It is almost just as good. :)

I made a similar copy of this card tonight, but since I only have the Just Rite square frames I used those. Also, I didn’t add as many layers and mine isn’t as elegant as yours. Of course I always appreciate your inspiration. :)

    THANK YOU!ReplyCancel
