You know what I love about you all?  You think deliciously big!!  I loved reading your comments and seriously sat there day dreaming about all the things you thought I might do.  Thank you for indulging me – bear with me for another day – I’m really excited and have been working on this for months.  Thank you for cruising through to visit today.  To recap, I have a little secret that I’ll be sharing on Wednesday, August 15th.  Just to make it fun, I’m offering a Blog Candy Gift Card of $35.00 that will be given to one randomly picked commenter from 8/12, 8/13 and 8/14.  You are able to leave one comment for each of these posts and the winner will be announced on Wednesday, August 15th.  (Winner has 24 hours to claim).   All you have to do is leave a comment venturing a guess about what my news is.  Thanks for dreaming on with me . . .  in the mean time I have a card to share today – a simple one at that!

My card today uses another new stamp set from JustRite Papercrafts called Oh La La French Frills  On top of my cardbase I added Spellbinders™ Asian Accents, which I stenciled using Stormy Sky Distress Ink.  On top of that I layered Spellbinders Botanical Swirls and Accents stenciling the filigree which gives the most wonderful effect.  I finished off by stamping a label and sentiment onto Spellbinders™ Fancy Framed Tags Two,  I called it a day after adding some pearls and a brass mini flower.  My card size here is 6″ x 6″

Another beauty of a card Becca. Love how you layered the various dies and and how you stenciled each one, something that I keep forgetting to do when making cards. I’m still sticking with the idea that you bought into Justrite Papercrafters, or that you are going to start your own business just designing your own rubber stamps with matching dies.ReplyCancel

  • ChristineAugust 13, 2012 - 7:46 am

Love the blue & white combo on this card, Becca. As for the ‘suspense’, still think that it is a new die range to go with your stamps. LOL.
    Tine :)ReplyCancel

I LOVE this card, beautiful color!

Another guess, it has something to do with ribbon, maybe a way to organize them. I have a ribbon fetish as well and it’s always a challenge to have them where I can see them. Can’t wait to see!ReplyCancel

  • Terry B.August 13, 2012 - 7:56 am

Ha! I commented yesterday, BEFORE I read any of the other comments, was surprised many people guessed dies, and I that’s still will be my guess for today.
My favorite comment that I saw was the one who guessed you sold your Becca BowMaker for “beaucoos” of money!! Love the word “beacoos”, even though I can’t spell it!ReplyCancel

  • SianAugust 13, 2012 - 7:56 am

I love the fact that you consider this card to be a ‘simple’ one! That for me would be an OTT card and I so wish I could pull it off!

Ok, so on the guessing front…hmm…I was thinking more stamps, but from the way you’re ‘speaking’ I’m guessing it’s something totally new. Hmm…are you going to do an online class so that we can all attempt to create beautiful things like you do?! I do hope so!! :)ReplyCancel

  • Lorrayne IngramAugust 13, 2012 - 7:56 am

You could have your own line of anything frilly, pins, say where did the end cap for the pin come from, I will have to research. I love those, you could have a matching line of inks . I would love your own line of Christian stamps. Ones with lots of fronts that are scrolls. A set of scripture to memorize.ReplyCancel

  • Beverley LeesonAugust 13, 2012 - 7:57 am

Oh Becca, with Your Amazing Talent I can’t even begin to think what you may be going to do. So I too will take a guess that you have been asked to head a Design Team for someone Amazing, or an amazing company.
Now your Card, As Blue is my very Favorite color this Card is an absolute Picture of Delight to me. Though how you can call it simple has me totally Awe-Inspired. I guess I have much to learn yet.Whatever you’re New Project is going to be Becca, I wish you every success for it… Good Luck. I can’t wait to hear……ReplyCancel

So I’ll say today that I think you’ve got a line of dies to go with the stamps you’ve designed. I know, it’s not original by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s plausible.ReplyCancel

Gorgeous card design & I love the softness of the colors. (Did you realize the card BG paper almost matches the blog BG used here?) The only thing I can think of for your “BIG” news would either be dies to match your stamps, new stamps or your own designer paper line. Anyway, it’s got us soooooo excited that we are on the edge of our seats! Thank you, Becca!ReplyCancel

  • Marcie SmithAugust 13, 2012 - 10:50 am

OK Becca, when I finally get my order of new Spellbinders (should be coming in the next couple of weeks), I am going to have some serious questions on how you created that medallion with the Asian Accent dies. Right now as I am flipping back and forth from the picture of the dies and your medallion, I just can’t figure it out. Maybe when I actually have the dies in hand I will be able to.
Having said that, my next guess might be a tutorial on how you manipulate some of these dies to create these gorgeous medallions. Kind of like the ones you did using MS punches. You did say today that it was “a little surprise”.
    MarcieReplyCancel

  • CCAugust 13, 2012 - 10:51 am

Well, maybe you are going to put out a craft book sharing your style of card making… things like how you decide which Spellbinders dies will work together to make the beautiful layered cards that you are known for. Goodness knows I don’t play around with my die cuts and even try, but I could certainly use some tips to get me going with more layering! LOL!ReplyCancel

  • Linda MilroyAugust 13, 2012 - 10:51 am

I’m still thinking about your secret! You know what I would love to see; a colored pamphlet of your designs for the last couple of years with a list of supplies used. Just like you do now, but compiled all together! What a GIFT that would be!

OK Becca, I have been thinking about this! These are things that I KNOW you can do–design dies, write a book showcasing the techniques you use to create your amazing cards, have a traveling ” Becca teaches all class” so that we can all learn how to do what you do, start your own online store complete with online classes featuring YOU as the teacher, start your own “Challenge Blog” and have people designing for and with you using your products, have your own “tv show” showcasing and teaching people how to Paper Engineer like a pro! Can’t hardly wait to hear your news and see what blessings God has in store for you!ReplyCancel

You are so amazingly talented, nothing you announce would surprise me. I believe that anything you set your mind to, you will accomplish. I’m thinking you have been asked to be on another design team but which one would you say yes to?????? I don’t think you would say yes to just anyone. I believe that it would have to be someone with your believes, your integrity, your drive. Hmmm, maybe instead of being on someones else design team, you are starting your own company. Now that I could see!!! Oh, and your card. Stunning! As they all are but I do love the blue and white combination and the amazing layers you create. Each layer compliments the other and your cards are never “over done”, you know exactly when to say when. I wish I could make mine look like this. I truly love this card!!! I also want to say Congratulations! I know whatever your announcement is it’s probably a biggie and you deserve it.ReplyCancel

Hello again… the cards, today and yesterday are both stunners! You are such a gifted crafter Becca. I began layering years ago when I began following your blog. You have so much to offer and I love your style – specifically your ability to visualize unlimited possibilities with color combinations and on paper partnering. You have a wonderful talent for putting design elements together. To go on from my comment yesterday; Once you have launched your company and get a great management team in place, you can begin to write books and teach people your methods and how to release their own creative spirits! I see you doing this Becca… Whatever it is you have going I will be cheering for you! Can’t hardly wait…ReplyCancel

  • JaneyAugust 14, 2012 - 8:48 am
