Top of the Morning to You!!

Hi there blog friends.  Happy St. Patricks Day!!  Thanks so much for your kind comments on the Double Tailed Bow Tutorial.  I hope you’ve given it a try.  Don’t forget, you have until Friday morning to add a comment telling me about your favorite music.  It’s a small blog candy but the Prima paper is absolutely scrumptious.  It was just like picking up a letter from old friends to read the hilarious comments that came through.

There’s a lot going on at Amazing Paper Grace and I just wanted to run down some of what is coming up and share some notes that haven’t found room to fit into the busy posts of this week.

The 3rd Anniversary Celebration for Our Daily Bread Designs starts on Thursday, March 17th at 7:00 CST.  There are so many prizes given that your chances are good if you enter.  Remember, you have to enter to win – pop by early in the morning and I’ll have the details.  Plus the new Anniversary Sets are amazing – they’ll be revealed then.  Hope to see you there!!

The comments are coming in for 31 Days to a Frugal Crafter.  If you have any frugal tips, I’d love for you to share them.  Although I’m still working on the 31 Days to an Organized Stamper page, I’m getting the hang of the new challenge and it will move faster in the future.

Keep your eyes peeled for a special Blog Hop by JustRite Designers next week as well as a Spring Blog Hop by Spellbinders Designers.  There are prizes to be had during each of these events.  For the Spellbinders events, on the day that share my project – you’ll be able to leave comments on my blog for a Spellbinders prize.

Please vote in my poll on the right hand side bar – it’s quick and it’s been fun for me seeing the results!!

If you’ve taken a second look throughout my blog, I’ve been bringing all the favorite tutorials (that were so hard to find on my old blog) and Becca Bits back online.  They were hidden but now most of them are showing up under the proper categories.  Click around, you’ll be surprised what you’ll find!!  That’s it friends.  See you in the morning with the ODBD Blog Hop.  Thanks for letting me wedge in this notice!

Happy St. Paddy’s Day to you, Becca! When I find myself singing (to myself – I can’t carry a tune in a basket!), it’s usually one of the songs we sang in church. I’m showing my age if I tell you I enjoy the “golden oldies” from 60’s and 70’s.ReplyCancel

I really like the music from the 60’s and 70’s. It was easy to listen to, and you could actually understand the words and not be embarassed by what was being sung.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
The only music I listen to is southern gospel. No matter what mood I am in or what is going on in my life, to here music that praises my Lord and Savior is absolutely wonderful.ReplyCancel

Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring is my favorite. I grew up in a small town that had a music summer camp for talented teens and this was a standard each summer, usually with oboe for solo parts. I’ll take it with any instruments, however. Have it on my list for funeral (if they feel I have to have one!) :)ReplyCancel

Happy St Patrick’s Day indeed…and on this day I would have to say that I love the tune ‘St Patrick’s Breastplate’ – it is usually accompanied by sacred words which are very meaningful. We (Northern Ireland) use this day to remember that St Patrick brought the Gospel to Ireland, pure and simple, and showed us how to live as God would have us live. From the green fields of Northern Ireland where Patrick tended his sheep we wish you a happy day wherever in the world you are.ReplyCancel

Becca, I for one can sure appreciate your love of music. I came from a background of professional singers and I have sung in the choir my entire life (68yrs) I practice everyday singing everywhere I go, much like you described yourself. I even go every friday evening for Karaoke…LOVE IT.
Becaa, I just love your site, I can’t wait to receive your newsletter everyday and all your work is such an inspiration to me. Love to you and keep the faith, may God Bless You.ReplyCancel

My favorite music is classical, but then as a classically trained musician that makes sense. My next favorite is sacred music. What inspirations can come from it. Thanks for you ideas.

I like to listen to the classic oldies on my t.v. There are music stations, and as the music is playing, it’s fun to see photos of the different musicians.
It’s fun music to listen to, since it’s from the 50’s and 60’s. I like to work on cards while I’m listening.ReplyCancel

  • Candy MeyersMarch 17, 2011 - 7:36 am

My favorite music is a tie between classical and sacred. I’m a trained singier and taught elementary music in the schools for 31 years before retiring. I sing in great group and also direct a church choir and chime choir. I get so much solace from music. It is what keeps me going most days. I love all your designs and look forward to each and every creation. Thanks for all your inspiration.

Becca….your work just leaves me amazed. Such beauty…but not fussy. Simply elegant!

As for my favorite music….I am an eclectic listener. Today, I’ll crank up my Maddy Pryor music on Pandora radio, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. But I love everything from Bach to Bono!

    Have a great day!ReplyCancel

Good Morning!! The Sun is shinning and the warmth of God’s love is alive in our hearts!!. A Senior Irish lady told me that St. Patrick used a Shamrock to Illustrate the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I do not know if that is a legend or reality??? But from now on I will always be reminded of that when I see one!! Blessings on your day!!ReplyCancel

I have to say that my favorite music is 60’s and 70’s. Even my 24 yr old son loves it. I guess my favorite artist is Bob Seger. My husband and I went to see him in Knoxville a few years ago, and he was wonderful. It was amazing to see the fan base………little kids with their parents, and older “kids” with their parents in wheelchairs and on walkers and canes. It was a wonderful evening I will never forget. Seeing him in concert was on my bucket list.ReplyCancel

    Hello Becca,
Your bows are just beautiful! I think I will watch your tutorial a couple more times before attempting that myself. I do appreciate your tutorials.
I love to listen to Contemporary Instrumental music. I so love to listen to sounds with music like Loons, or water washing against the sea shore. I usually listen to that music when I am at work. My co-workers refer to my music as elevator music. Thanks for asking about things we like.

    Greetings Great One…
That is my name for you. I absolutely love everything you create. One of the best things of most of my days is checking out your blog. You are an inspiration, a teacher, a mentor, a gem!!!
My favorite music is the sound of children laughing. But if you are refering to the sheet music type of music, I love anything I can sing along to. I don’t like the kind that makes your eardrums bleed, or that you cannot understand what they are saying. I mostly like the music that glorifies our Lord. Have a wonderful day, full of your favorite music!!!! LOL KathleenReplyCancel

    Hi Becca

I’ve not been around recently to comment – so this one is coming pretty late – but just wanted to say that I’ve saved all my emails from you (subscription emails) so that I could still keep up with you.

I’m loving the bow tutorial, and can’t believe how busy you have been – I’ve not read all the later posts yet, but I’ve missed all the chances for candy, but then again, its not what I come here for, so will still be reading even though all those dates are now about 3 weeks ago!!

I hope you are well, take good care of yourself,
