This New Poll, Well . . . It’s a Sticky Situation

Hi there blog friends, it’s time for a new poll!  By readers request, you asked me to poll you on glues!  Fellow readers are eager to see what their peers use.   Once I started writing the poll for this week I began to realize there are so many glues and they cover so many situations. It’s a given that we use the “right” glue for the “right” project but there is a glue that you default to for the majority of your projects. Interestingly enough when I stamped with friends this weekend, many of them were using white liquid glue for an everyday crafting project with just paper; they swear by it for cardmaking and such. Fooey, not me, that kind of glue and me doesn’t get along. Instead, I swear by my Scotch ATG for my everyday projects and I’m even left handed.  It’s not for everyone, but once I got used to it – it became my standard.  Between my ATG and Scor-Tape, I’m covered!  What is your default glue – you know, the one you want to use on everything?

I’d love it if you weigh in!  The Poll is located on my right hand side bar.   I have no idea how this will turn out but I’m excited to see. I think long and hard on each poll but somethime the obvious slips right by me – if you have to pick a “none of the above” or “you didn’t name mine”,  I’d love to know what I missed, so leave me a comment.  Remember I run each poll all week and you can see the results of earlier polls on my Crafting Poll Archive Page.

Have a sweet week friends, I’ll be back with something tomorrow!!

Double sticky Scotch tape has been my usual adhesive, but have also started using the Glue Glider Pro, also use Tombo glue, glue dots, Crystal Effects, and Score Tape. It all depends on what I’m doing. ; )ReplyCancel

I’ve only had my Scotch ATG for a short time but I swear by it and seldom reach for anything else now. Yes other types of adhesives have their place but I find the ATG is the most versatile of them all. If only it was blue. :)
    Have a blessed week.

Well double sided is the one I mostly use and voted for. White tacky for heavier projects such as boxes and glue gel for placing bows, flowers etc. Oh and sticky dots.
Thanks so much for the flower loom tutorial Becca, I was hoping and got my wish. I’ll send you a ticket for over the pond when I need a carpenter lol and your Easter Box !!! Sigh it’s beautiful.

Thanks for all you do and take the time to share, it’s appreciated more than you could know.

    Weeeeelll,
I usually go with a tape runner for cards and scrapbooking. But I refrain from doing the expensive ones and thus have realized that they are not everlasting. Fine with cards not wit albums.
So I went back to what I did in the very beginning: I tape Fotos to pages with fotosquares and adhere embellis wit liquid glue.
I love UHU´s pink capped craftglue for that, or gluepens by Zig or Dovecraft, depending on how big the stuff is.ReplyCancel

  • Fritzi aka dabigmausApril 25, 2011 - 2:27 am

Oh, and double sided tape from the $store either thin or as foamtape makes my other projects!ReplyCancel

  • JanineApril 25, 2011 - 2:37 am

The two main adhesives I use all the time are Scor-Tape and Glossy Accents. I’ve tried various types of adhesives—like the white glue, the Glue Glider Pro, Zip Dry, Xyron machine (just to name a few), and wasn’t happy with the results compared to Scor-Tape and Glossy Accents. I also love Mod Podge for other types of projects but I don’t use it as often. One thing I have found it great for is certain types of glitter papers, when the glitter falls off the paper easily. A very thin coat of matte Mod Podge dries clear and stops me from having to brush away glitter off my work space for (what seems like) weeks on end.ReplyCancel

I’ve had my 1/2″ Scotch ATG for years and years. I use it all the time… and not necessarily just for paper crafts. I added a 1/4″ Scotch ATG to my tool arsenal a couple of months ago. Almost didn’t get it (didn’t want to duplicate) but am so glad I did… especially since I found it at a very good sale price. I use the two ATGs constantly, along with other glues and sticky stuff for specific purposes. Both ATGs have their special space on a shelf at my desk, and are always within easy reach and just as easy to return to their spot after use.

I can’t wait to read additional comments from your other readers to see what their favorites are. Has anyone found a really good adhesive stamp pad to use when glittering a stamped image? I’ve tried all the standard ones, but the glitter always seems to brush off. I’ve tried heat setting, long drying times, hairspray, and any other technique I could think of but just not with the results I hope to achieve. So am still searching for a better mousetrap. Suggestions anyone?ReplyCancel

Hi Becca being from the UK I use Pinflair Gel an odourless silicone glue (always use this for my flowers ), Pinflair Foto-glue which is great for matting and layering as it’s repositional and Aleene’s quick dry tacky glue for any other bits and pieces. Great poll by the way.

    Hi Becca
I have two favourite glues that are constantly by my elbow.
I do use the tape glue, I think your equivalent is Scor Tape but I also use a silicone glue that can be used as either, flat a wet glue, or in blobs to raise things up (ie decoupage) that is called Pinflair Glue Gel. A British make.
Thank you so much for your Blog.

I am reaching out to Barb Tracey.
She is asking about a really good adhesive stamp pad to use when glittering a stamped image? If you just want to stamp an image and glitter “The Essential Glue Pad” from TSUKINEKO is fab. Alternativly, to colour an item and then glitter, the “Quickie Glue Pen” from Sakura is excellent.
    No heat setting required.
A very good fine glitter is essential I think and a brilliant one is called “Glamour Dust”
    Hope that helps.

Most glue’s are a no no for me! If I absolutely must glue an embellie on, it’s with tombow glue. For my day to day crafting though, my ATG is my best bud! It’s fast, I don’t have to refill every 10 minutes and “I can’t lose it on my desk” (which is probably the best reason if you’ve seen my desk”ReplyCancel

  • MarthaApril 25, 2011 - 5:20 am

The adhesive really depends on what I am gluing. For most of my card making I do use tombow but when I have a large heavy item I will go to Scotch quick dry adhesive. It will dry quickly and stand up to the weight of any item.ReplyCancel

I use my ATG gun when at home. I have both a 1/2 and 1/4 inch gun and just love them. When I go somewhere, I take either just a roll of ATG tape (minus dispenser) or a Glu Glider Pro. For stronger hold, I use red tape or glue dots.ReplyCancel

The only time I use glue is on vellum and smear it with my fingers, it works better than any of the tape. I use the big red and yellow Scotch tape runners because they are so much cheaper than all the small ones when you make tons of cards each week. I love them and I’m left handed also and they work great for us as well.ReplyCancel

The Glue Glider Pro is my ALL TIME favorite. The high tac is awesome for attaching ribbon. The Extreme Tac is great for glass, glitter paper and metal.I use the perma tac for my every day crafting. My son uses the Wall Tac to put up posters and it does not damage the wall! Perfect for Dorm rooms. The Fabric Tac works on Fabric and after ironing is permanent and cab be washed! The cartridges just slip in and out of the gun. And if a cartridge goes bad Glue Arts replaces it and pays for the shipping! (I have not had that with other companies,)ReplyCancel

You have touched on a very raw nerve. Out of all the problems I have with card making (or my lack of skill!), adhesives seem to be the big one. I like small tape runners, but they are expensive and sometimes do not work, or I slip the tape off the guide, tear the underlying paper trying to get it on again and the whole thing is useless; I like micro dots (on a roll), but they can get everywhere and stray dots can can cause a problem, ending up in the most unlikely of places and attracting dirt, making the card look filthy; double sided tape is a favourite, but is very unforgiving if you don’t align something properly (I need to make very wonky cards, so it looks deliberate); and I would like to like (!) silicone glue and I get fantastic results with it – until it seeps through and leaves a dark stain on the dp or ribbon about half an hour after you think the card is finished and how lovely it looks, until…, or it does not dry properly. Maybe it’s just me???? A friend is persuading me towards spray adhesive. Watch this space!ReplyCancel

    Dear Becca,
out of all the problems I have with card making (or my lack of skill!), adhesives seem to be the one that makes me most frustrated. Let me explain: I like small tape runners, but they are expensive and sometimes do not work, or I slip the tape off the guide, tear the underlying paper trying to get it on again and the whole thing is useless; I like micro dots (on a roll), but they can get everywhere and stray dots can cause a problem, ending up on fingers, arms and, on occasion, even noses… sometimes even on the card, attracting dirt, and making the card look filthy. Double sided tape is a favourite, but is very unforgiving if you don’t align something properly (I need to start making very wonky cards, so it looks deliberate); and I would like to like (!) silicone glue and I get fantastic results with it – until it seeps through and leaving a dark stain on the design paper, card or ribbon about half an hour after you think the card is finished and you are congratulating yourself on how lovely it looks, until…, or it does not dry properly. Maybe it’s just me????

    Hi Becca,
Well my first choice for most projects is always my Scotch ATG gun I’ve had it for a few years now and couldn’t live without it ! lol But for small delicate areas I usually reach for ZigZag Glue Pen. I tried everything though and will occassionally go with the Sookwang tape if its nearby. They all seem to serve a useful purpose at times..but the ATG gun wins in my book hands down.
Thanks for getting down to the sticky for us Becca!ReplyCancel

Great poll! We are so lucky to have so many options available to us. My biggest problem is what to use for vellum. I have a spray (works great but very smelly) brads aren’t always appropriate and glues and adhesives have to be placed so as to be hidden but that usually leaves edges loose. What a dilemma! Any suggestions?

My adhesive of choice isn’t listed. I swear by 3 in 1 glue from Beacon. It’s simply the best adhesive I’ve ever used. It dries quickly without wrinkles, is great for bulky embellishments, and compared to the cost of tape runner refills, is economical. It also can be used as a repositionable adhesive…just apply, let set for a few minutes and voila! I also use the red liner (e.g., “terrifically tacky”) tape for ribbons and other things.

I chose that you did not name mine. You have white glue listed as Elmers or 3M, etc. I use the Tombo white liquid glue and it is nowhere near what those others are. I use it almost exclusively. I like that I can make my own glue dots with it. I can put dots of glue on something, let it dry before attaching and then i am able to reposition if I’d like. I buy the glue by the box.ReplyCancel

I have been using the Beacon Zip Dry liquid glue for a lot of my projects that need to stick quickly and dry clearly. First saw this glue used by Heartfelt Creations when they glued their flowers that were layered after using the Nestabilities diecuts. Works great. I also love the 3M ATG too for normal layering of cards.ReplyCancel

Hi, I use several kinds of sticky stuff. My favorite is just plain old 2 sided tape, but like the Scotch brand best. Tried a store brand and had bad luck with it. Hardly ever use glue sticks as they don’t hold well for me. I do use a lot of glue dots for ribbons and very small things. And use a lot of pop dots to make things stick up. Once in a while use the white glue but not to often. Would love the tape runners, but have trouble keeping them working right. Will be interesting to see what others use. Edna B.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
I have used many glues–Zig (Squeeze and roll, Chisel-tip, Jumbo), Scotch (variety here too), UHU Glue are in my stash right now. However, it is difficult at times to get glues when I run out where I live. Our small department store was carrying Scotch Scrapbooker’s Glue that I used for a few years but then I couldn’t find it any more even out of town (we have to travel 1 1/2 hours to the nearest city). I am now using UHU Liquid Glue as my favourite–I have to get it out-of-town so have to stock up until we make another ‘Costco Run’ and can get to Wal-Mart. I liked the Scotch applicator nozzles (fine and broad) along with the clear glue that wasn’t too thick. The UHU is clear but the applicators aren’t as great.
As a teacher, we used to run into the same problems with glues in the school–thickness of the glue and the applicators.ReplyCancel

  • JoJoApril 25, 2011 - 7:24 am

Really, there’s an adhesive for every purpose. I prefer the ‘Tombow tape runner for layering my cards. Tombow Mono is great for light embellishments (and small areas the tape runner doesn’t get) and E6000 for the heavier ones. I use Zip pen glue for applying glitter. Then, of course, I need a glue for stained glass technique on acetate and I use Art Institute Dries Clear. Actually, that is a great glue for anything. I haven’t tried the ATG, but I think I will, now.
Thanks for the poll and ideas.
    Have a blessed day!ReplyCancel

  • EstelleApril 25, 2011 - 7:24 am

Although my primary is the small glue runners, I use a variety of adhesives depending on the project; glue dots, Score tape, Tombow multi, photo splits, foam dots, zigzag glue pen, Scotch quick dry, and on occassion have used a glue stick ( not my favorite…. avoid it when I can). So, as you can see I keep the adhesive market going. I decide what I am going to use on each project…..
I love your blog. It is always full of useful information………

I wouldln’t be able to do anything if it weren’t for Fabri Tac clear glue….I hear that it has a strong smell, but don’t notice it. I use the Tombo tape runners for some items that can be placed “squarely” the first time, but FabriTac allows me to place mats, paper, etc and since it takes a bit for it to “stick”, I can easily move the items around to their proper place. I find that the white glues tend to wrinkle by beautiful paper….and I simply cannot abide that! lol
Thanks, Becca, for your polls, especially this one…what a sticky issue!!!ReplyCancel

I too use many different glues for many different situations, but I love my ATG! I use it so much that I purchase the refill tapes by the CASE lol! I like to use the 1/4″ size with the adapter because so much of my work is in the fine details, but I agree with you, I would be lost without my big yellow gun at my side:)ReplyCancel

  • Jeanielou KaufmanApril 25, 2011 - 7:35 am

That is fairly difficult as I have certain types for various jobs. I use the small snail roller tape mostly but do use dots for 3D, Elmer’s for paper, double-sided for cardstock. It is very rare when I use a glue stick. When I use Elmer’s on paper I make sure I spread it out so as not to make wrinkles in my paper. If paper is very thin, I do use a glue stick.
That was a tough question as I really use many, depending, as I said, on the purpose for gluing.

I tend to use the double-sided tape as my go-to adhesive mainly because it really sticks well and secondly because it is reasonably priced,

I have the glue glider pro which I like to use but the cartridges are quite expensive and I can only get them when I visit the States so keep it for when I am in a hurry or on special projects. Tacky glue to stick down things like flat-backed pearls and rhinestones and I do use Tombow green occasionally too. Would love to use the small tape runners but just to expensive for regular use too, and have had the same problem of tape breaking and rendering the runner useless which is frustrating.ReplyCancel

Great poll! I am very interested to see what everyone uses. In the past I have always used tape runners and loved them (Tombow, Duck). I live in a tropical climate now and my tape runners don’t last. It’s so frustrating! I only get to buy supplies once a year when I go back to the States to visit my family so I’ve had to resort to a glue stick lately. It sounds like a lot of your readers like the ATG gun. Well, you didn’t name it, specifically, but I love Scotch Quick Dry. It’s great and dries fast as well as doesn’t wet the paper too much. You only need the tiniest bit, sometimes.

Also, before I used this, I used one called The Best Glue Ever. It is, also, very quick to dry and doesn’t wrinkle the paper.

Thanks for your beautiful cards. Love the ribbon loom and made one! Woo Hoo! You’re the best.

Have a good week. Lovingly, SueReplyCancel

What a great poll! I have to admit I’m a bit of a glue junkie (boy that doesn’t sound right does it?) and I have pretty much all glues available. You’re right in saying that the glue you use depends on what it is you’re gluing.
I use my ATG gun mostly. If I need a wet glue then I go for the Tombo Multi.ReplyCancel

I switched to the ATG runner a while back and I love it. I know it is a tad large to drag around with me so I use the E-Z Runner when I am traveling. I have tried the MS liquid glue pen and found it dried out on me before I could really use it.ReplyCancel

Once again I can’t answer your poll! LOL!! I’ve only been making cards for a fairly short time compared to many of you gals, but I have learned that there is just no one adhesive that one can gravitate to for almost everything. I just bought a Scotch ATG gun and while I like it, I know it is going to take a while to really get used to it and love it. The smaller tape runners are so much easier to use accurately so the big gun definitely has a learning curve so I hope I can master it. I like Zip Dry as a liquid adhesive for paper but am realizing just how expensive it is since you get so much less in their bottles than other adhesives. I did recently purchase some Aileen’s gel glue and while I have not put it to a lot of use yet, I’m thinking it is very much like Zip Dry for a fraction of the cost… so I’m hoping that works out to be true when I really do put it to the test. As one who has to be frugal, I have to go with adhesives that will do the job well, but that doesn’t mean I have to have the ones that cost an arm and a leg just because everyone says they are so wonderful.ReplyCancel

I use Beacon’s 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue – clear glue, about 95% of the time. It’s CHEAP (especially if you use a coupon), let’s you move your paper to the correct spot before it dries completely, and its acid-free and waterproof. Once dry, your paper layers will not separate, which has happened for me when I’ve used various 2-sided tapes. Can be a little messy if you’re not using it properly, and you must cap it when not being used otherwise it starts to evaporate and then gets really sticky.ReplyCancel

Great poll; love reading what everyone uses. My main go-to was Scotch dbl.backed tape for a long time. I then got and use for most of my attaching the Glue Glider Pro. Thin papers I rely on the Scotch as it doesn’t tear the paper. Glue dots are used for flowers and some embell. Redliner or scortape is used on ribbons.ReplyCancel

Can we vote more than once? I voted for tape on a roll, having cut my card-making teeth on 3M double sided and used it for several years. However, my finger tips/nails protested when removing large quantities of the strip one peels off to expose the glue. I then moved to small format throw away runners. Loved how they worked; solved the finger problem but seemed like I was recycling the plastic containers every couple of days. This bothered me. So I’m trying to adapt to the Glue Glider Pro, but I’m having adaptation difficulties. It’s nice and big, but it is so stiff that I’m ruining projects in my efforts to apply glue. Shouldn’t it glide on easily? It must be something I’m doing wrong and will persist. If anyone has some advice for me, I’m all ears. Thanks for listening.ReplyCancel

I love my Glue Glider Pro. I primarily use the permatac. My backup is the Tombo. Of course there’s the glue dots, I mainly like the paper thin kind.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca. My favorite “glue” is rubber cement. A little expensive, but works best for me because it does not “soak” into paper.ReplyCancel

My ATG & I go everywhere. Use Michael’s coupons for the refills. I still use some 2-sided tape when necessary. Also use lots of pop ups. Just depends on my project.ReplyCancel

Great poll. Like many others I reach for my ATV gun for most of my adhesive needs. Use the Scor-tape for 3D projects and glue dots when needed. Enjoy reading the comments and what others are using. Learn so much from all of you. Thanks Becca for giving us the chance to ponder our choices and giving voice to what works for each of us. Love your projects Becca. Would love to have one tenth of your talent. Hugs to you!ReplyCancel

With all the Jo-Ann coupons I get/use, I buy a lot of double-sided Scotch tape. I use about and inch in each corner when making cards–I don’t tape the entire side. For embellies, I like Glossy Accents. And because you always have a clogged tip when you open the top, I’ve taped a needle to the bottle–kind of like the straw taped on a can of Wd-40. I mostly use this glue for beads so the needle also works for picking them up and placing them on the card. I would be interested in knowing what everyone uses for vellum. For some cardstock backing, tape works fine, but some colors show the tape. I have a big Scotch ATG gun but sometimes the glue/tape gets snagged or clumpy, so I’ve not used it as much lately. I had a Glue Glidder Pro but gave it to my grandson. Has anyone used Perga glue? if so, where do you buy it?ReplyCancel

  • Cheryl StaufferApril 25, 2011 - 12:53 pm

I use a lot of white glue- Aileen’s Tacky Glue for my everyday card making but I also use and love my Pro Glue Glider along with Scor-tape. I know white glue isn’t for everyone as it can be difficult for some people to use because they tend to use toooo much glue. After teaching 5, 6, & 7 year old kids for 32 years I am very experience with white glue-LOL. Now, as a stamping teacher, altered and mixed media teacher, and paper crafting teacher I find most of the ladies who attend my classes prefer double sided tape or a tape runner.ReplyCancel

Although I do reach for my glu-glider pro (I’m always in a hurry), I am aware that it is also probably the most expensive of the options, and I do supplement it with tombro liquid adhesive. Of course I use the pop up adhesive dots for 3 dimension a lot, too.ReplyCancel

I have been working at the largest stamp and scrapbook store in possibly the entire USA for over 17 years in Lewisville, NC. (The Enchanted Cottage). I only use two adhesives EVER and I am passionate about them both. For cardstock I use Aleene’s “super thick” tacky glue and for light weight papers I use YES glue. They are great for both cardmaking and safe for scrapbookng as well. They both allow you a small window of time to slide your item into perfect alignment (unlike tape). We receive many demo boards from stamp companies but in a few months I come in to find cards on the floor. I always put them back up with the “super tacky” and I know that in a hundred years I won’t have to put them back up again.

I like to have a product that will allow some working time because sometimes I can’t get the paper or element on straight/square. I bought an ATG gun thinking it would save me a ton of time and it does, provided I let the paper sit for a minimum of 1 hour after I lay the adhesive down. Even after an hour some papers want to bond too well and I have messed up a few cards, which is really frustrating. Are there tricks for using the Scotch ATG gun or am I just inept?

I like using Scor Tape for ribbon and lace and I use Scotch Photo Splits when I don’t want to fight with the gun. I use glue dots for flowers and the like.

    Hugs!

For a couple of years I used Trio – when I could keep it together and keep the tape from coming out of the groove. Then I moved on to Glue Glider Pro. Really, really liked it till it started giving me problems – like NOT working. The gizmo wheels in back don’t meet so the tape does not move. And I still have a number of refills for it (boo-hooooo). In the meantime I had also been using Scor Tape. I now have all sizes and that is what I go to most of the time. Sometimes I grab my Tombo Mono. I have come close to buying the ATG but not yet ( tooooooo much money invested in the other adhesives – and I have not discussed liquid glue or glue sticks..) Any ideas/suggestions on getting my Glue Glider working would be appreciated. Jean McGeeReplyCancel

I picked white glue, but you didn’t mention the one that I actually love, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive! Love that stuff. Gives you time to position stuff where you want it, but dries fast and doesn’t let go! I also like Miracle Tape, from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. Come in sizes from 1/8 to 2 inches and in full sheets. Has tons on a roll and works well. I’ve got lots of others, but those are the two that I use most often. As somebody else said most peoples problems with liquid glue is that they use WAY to much! The Scotch has a small point nozzle that lets you put it where you want in small amounts, that’s really all you need!
Lots of folks want solutions for Vellum, I use some stuff called I think Wacky Tape, holds well and doesn’t show through, although I still prefer to attach some other way, like brads, eyelets, gluing under embelies, etc. Love your survey’s!

I wouldn’t use white glue either. I would think it would buckle the paper!! I have the ATG, but I have trouble loading it. I just tried score tape, thanks to you, and thinks it’s irreplaceable. I’ve depended on tape runners in the past, but even thought I tape the heck out of them, they sometimes have a tendency to lift.ReplyCancel

First – Just a quick comment back to Cally for her suggestion for the adhesive stamp pad. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

And for Auntie Em, Katemeri, Debra K, and anyone else looking for a vellum adhesive: I use Scotch vellum tape and get results that please me… and I’m admittedly picky about this sort of thing! It is widely available (Micheal’s, Joann’s, K-Mart, amazon.com, etc.), works wells, and is invisible even on thinner vellum if applied correctly. The trick, I’ve found is to place the tape on the surface to which you want to attach the vellum. Then, with the protective, pull-off paper still in place on the tape, burnish the tape well (I use a really orange orangewood manicure stick that is pretty worn down now, an actual burnishing tool – also years old – that was originally purchased for laying down dry transfer letters, or the flat side of a fingernail works well too). If the tape is well enough burnished, the pull-off backing paper removes quite easily. Then attach your vellum and “finger press” it in place. Be a little careful about rubbing the vellum if you have printing on it as some printer inks don’t dry quickly on vellum and can smearly. If in doubt, just put a piece of copy paper over the printing and then burnish against the copy paper. I really like the effect of designing my card sentiments on the computer, then printing them directly onto vellum. I can then cut the sentiment into whatever shape I want (its so easy to line up things squarely and centerd with nestabilities!) and apply it to my card. Getting the right “feel” for the burnishing of the tape – certainly not difficult, but takes a little practice to get a feel for it. Hope this info helps.

Thanks to Becca for this survey. You can learn so much reading everyone’s comments!ReplyCancel

How about a category for “all of the above”? In my search for the perfect adhesive, I’ve now collected, and tested, pretty much every adhesive known to man and in many cases multiples since I often forget that I’ve already bought and tried a particular one. I could probably open my own little adhesive shop. My ultimate dream adhesive is one that is re-positionable for about 15 minutes (if I can’t get something stuck on there correctly in that amount of time then I have no business gluing at all!) and then becomes absolutely permanent. I don’t care how much companies swear their re-positionable adhesive becomes permanent, I haven’t found one yet that was. Or maybe their definition of permanent is different from mine. In my book, if it falls off–ever–it’s not permanent. I don’t want to spend all that time making a card for someone and then have it fall apart when they open it. I love the “idea” of the double-sided tape (love the Score tape), but like one of the other ladies mentioned, I am definitely position challenged too, and as someone else said, the tape is very unforgiving. I need that reposition time to get it right. For that reason I have pretty much gone back to the white (dries clear) glue. I mostly use Sobo. What I do is dab teeny tiny dots of glue all over the back of the piece leaving a .25 to .375 space around the outside edge to allow for spread. I usually put a piece of scrap paper on top to prevent smudges and what not and lightly press it all with my hand/fingers. If anyone out there has discovered my dream adhesive, please post and let me know!ReplyCancel

I just recently found a great glue for paper on acrylic – Zip Dry Paper Glue. It dries flat and leaves no air bubbles but it does smell. I don’t know how I lived without it! I also use Tombow Mono Multi Glue for paper to paper. I recently broke down and purchased a pink ATG. What a cool tool!ReplyCancel
