Thinking of You

JustRite Sympathy
Hello there friends! Thanks for stopping in to see me yesterday. Today I have a card to share, and it’s so sad to say, but this type of card doesn’t linger in my stash. I always seem to have need for Sympathy Cards and I have several friends that experienced losses quite recently. So in sitting down to make this, I did pick light colors but nothing too flashy. I’m using a JustRite Stampers set, Sympathy Nested Sentiment and Verse. As far verses go, this set gives me sooooo much flexibility. I put two of the sentiments on the outside and one on the inside.

To construct the card I started out with a 5 x 7″ base and layered on a panel of a slightly smaller width and length. I then constructed three medallions made using Spellbinders Tags Trio Two as the base. I then cut an oval using Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG and topped it off with a the thinnest of Spellbinders Fancy Tags. I used my Stampamajig to stamp the sentiment on each tag but it could just as easily have been stamped then cut out. On the inside put down a strip of my left over scraps then stamped my main sentiment and cut it from Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM and matted it with Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals SM.

Card Recipe: Stamps: JustRite Stampers Sympathy Nested Sentiment and Verse (Original)
Paper: Basic Grey – Capella, The Paper Company
Ink:Versafine – Vintage Sepia, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Spun Sugar Distress Ink
Accessories: Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG #2 , Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SM #4, Spellbinders™ Scalloped Ovals SM, Spellbinders™ Fancy Tags,
Spellbinders™ Tags Trio Two, Ribbon, Pearls

I’ll be back tomorrow with another project. Keep checking in, okay?
