The Teeniest Tiniest Ornament

Sweet blog friends, I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and that your plans are all falling into place.  For me?  Not so much.  I mean, I am enjoying the holidays but plans falling into place are a wispy fleeting dream, lol.  Holiday time is crazy, kids call and need something every day, never enough time!!  Ah, but I enjoy it all any way.  Today I wanted to share a Christmas Card that has been on my mind.  Thankfully it worked out exactly how I envisioned which does not always happen.  I so wanted to use that teeny tiny ornament for a card but first I had to find a sentiment for it, which I pulled from a Christmas Our Daily Bread Designs set called Holiday Ornaments 2.

I needed a fairly large and symmetrical opening for the ornament (Spellbinders™ Holiday Tags) to hang, so I picked Spellbinders™ Blossom Tags and Accents.  From my card base, I simply cut the largest element then staggered the next smallest piece in the opening.  Lastly I anchored some ribbon on the left edge of the card over two scalloped edges cut using Spellbinders™ Classic Scallop Edgeabilities.  I rarely decorate the insides of my cards, but since this one is see through or see into, I lined the back with a contrasting small print.  That little ornament is so very simple, but I really like it :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread DesignsHoliday Ornaments 2
Paper: K and Company; Bazzill, Neenah Classic Crest Cream 80lb cover
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Spellbinders™ Classic Scallop Edgeabilities, Spellbinders™ Blossom Tags and Accents, Spellbinders™ Holiday Tags, Ribbon, Bead Landing Filigree, Pearl Brad, Recollections Pearls

Hope your holiday crafting is bringing you much joy!!  See you soon!

Hi Becca, I looked at your itsy bitsy ornament today and thought it was so ironic that something as tiny as a handmade ornament could make such a beautiful and powerful statement. Yes, Glory to God in the Highest is truly what we all should be reflecting on this Christmas season. As always the design on your card is quite stunning. Blessings of joy, love and peace to all. I really like this card, I have wondered how to use those tiny ornament dies and now you have fueled my imagination. As for the business of the holiday, well , everytime I get overwhelmed , I stop and breath and then…. very lowly sing, …. It’s the most stressful time of the year. Oh , I mean , It’s the most wonderful time of the year…… : ) (Some how it makes me feel better) …. Blessings ….. DeniceReplyCancel

Becca this is just stunning. What a beautiful way to use a little Spellbinders die. We often look at the little ones and think they are only useful for a small greeting or just not used at all. This idea has really made me look at their usage more closely, thank you for that.
As it is Christmas and I am not, physically, able to give you a gift I would like to give to you a gift of gratitude. Gratitude for sharing your God given talent with us throughtout the year.
I hope you have a blessed Christmas
