The Hope We Have

Do you know about 31 Days?  Don’t forget it’s my Blogaversary – register HERE.

Hi there friends!! I’ve been reading your blogaversary entries and just marvel at the genuinely sweet souls that posted what they are grateful for.   I’d hug every one of ya if I could get my arms around you!!   It simply does my heart good!!!  I do have a card  to share today.  It was made using the new sets from Our Daily Bread Designs which include the Anchor Set and the He Shall Be Called Background.  They work so well together – the background is a fabulous element to throw on a card.  I seem to be stuck on the dusty blue color – I love it!

HOW IT’S MADE

1. Make Card Base – mine is 6″x6″
2. Layer a mat 5¾”x5¾”.  Adhere with foam tape.
3. Layer a mat and design paper 5½” x
5½”. Adhere with foam tape.
4. Layer two matted panels, 2″ x 4½”, with stamped cream cardstock. Adhere with foam tape.
5. Tie Ribbon
6. Top with a medallion created using Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Labels Nineteen, Classic Circles LG.  Adhere with foam tape.
7. Stamp sentiment then cut/emboss with Classic Circles SM,  Adhere with foam tape.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Anchor, He Shall Be Called
Paper: Bazzill, K & Company – Juliette
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels Nineteen, Spellbinders Classic Circles SM, Spellbinders Classic Circles LG, Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Clear Embossing Powder, Ribbon

Thanks for peeking in today!!  I’m so grateful for such a wonderful group of readers.

I love the card. The background is so awesome. I had a period of time in my life that was so stressful that I could not sleep. I didn’t count sheep, I would go through the alphabet thinking of the names of God. Sometimes I would get to Z. Sometimes, I didn’t get very far until I drifted off to a restful sleep. It was as though as I called out the various names to Him he ministered to me. Christ is our anchor!ReplyCancel

I’m happy to know Jesus, because he has brought us through a difficult time in 2010, and we weren’t aware of it until not too long ago. Over the last 10 months, I can honestly say I have seen God’s hand work in our lives – it’s right there in front of our faces and we can’t deny it! I’m so thankful that I am a child of God, and that my husband is too! Our daughter recently accepted Christ as her Saviour, so we have more to celebrate!ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca

This is such a sweet card – and blue is my favourite colour.

I’ve not been by in a couple of days as I have a really poorly little boy (well, he’s 14 but will always be my little boy)… as well as having some investigations into something that has turned up in his blood… he’s not got tonsilitis – so blogging, crafting etc has taken a back seat in the last week or so.

Thank you for continually making gorgeous and stunning creations – a true reason to make me smile recently.
