Sweet Magnolia

Don’t forget, there is current blog candy that you can register for – the link to the candy is HERE.

Hello there, today I have a sweet little Magnolia to share with you. Magnolia-licious is stocked with the new collection called Raising the Ceiling and Right Through the Heart and this sweet thing is one of that new collection – she is #218 Sweet Tilda.  If you don’t see the image you’re looking for – just check with Diana.

Every month the Magnolia-licious Design Team posts a challenge on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog and this month is a sketch challenge.  There’s an opportunity for you to play along for a prize and all the details are HERE.

For my card I followed the sketch fairly closely.  Tilda is popped up on a
Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG and on top of that I have used  Spellbinders™ Labels Ten.   All in all it’s a very simple card and I decided to color this sweet little corner piece on the inside called  #433 Elegant Heart Ribbon.  The cardstock that I was using was Bazzill and since the copics bled through to the back, when done I added another panel to the back of the card to mask the bleed through.   Here are the copic colors I used.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia – #218 Sweet Tilda and #433 Elegant Heart Ribbon
Paper:  Bazzill, K & Company, My Minds Eye
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Labels Ten, Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Ribbon, Pearls, Paper Studio Brad

Thanks for stopping by.

    Super sweet card.
Ohhhh, so many places to pick from. I think that our family trip to the Tibeten side, Mt. Everest base camp was one of my most fav trips. Getting into camp in the late afternoon and watching the clouds slowly scudd from blocking our first view of Everest, to seeing the moon rise next to it, to the stars slowly appearing as the sun set. All were amazingly beautiful and awe inspiring. To realize how small we are in the scheme of things and that there was a higher power there to create such beauty. It really sunk in that there were so many things that we may take for granted. ~C8>ReplyCancel

    Your cards are amazing.

You always hear about the forty shades of green in Ireland. That is not true there are more than forty. Looking out the airplane window as it was landing was a sight to behold. It looked like a green quilt with other splashes of color mixed in. After arriving in Bunratty I decided to take a leisurely walk. There had been a small rain shower and there was such a clean earthy scent to the air. Adventuring a little further there was a folk lore park. As I walked through the park you could smell the peat burning in the fireplaces. It was like a walk through time and at every corner you expected to see someone from the past. These were my first impressions of Ireland.ReplyCancel

  • BrendaMarch 4, 2010 - 7:45 pm

    She’s real cute!

Day 2 of my travels, well Greek islands really do it for me, especially Skiathos, but then that was our honeymoon! The sea is so blue and gentle the sand soft and clean, the sun pretty hot and the people very friendly. I think what I like best is that the way of life is laid back and simple. Not many craft shops in Greece though! (Whew! said my hubby)

Hope you have a good day.

  • Connie NHMarch 4, 2010 - 10:18 pm

She is so sweet. I love this stamp. She looks so different with just a hair color change.

One of my other favorite places is THe mountains of NH in the fall. The fall colors with all the different evergreen, maple trees, and birches reflected in cool fall pools of water are so crisp and refreshing. Love it.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca! Really sweet card – and love your coloring!
Another beautiful place I have been to is Costa Rica. It was only

She is a cutie, Becca. What’s not to love? I liked the heart stamp on the envelope. One of my favorite visits was as a child to Lake Louise, Banff, AB Canada. It took my breath away…….we were there in Summer…..more comfortable traveling and snow still on the mountains. The Lake is so beautiful and clear and the wildlife in the area was especially interesting. One of the most peaceful places on Earth, I think. It is what I often picture when I meditate. Wish you could go with me.ReplyCancel
