Stop and Consider

Hi there blog friends, I hope you are having a fab day!!  I have a quick card to share with you today.  It has a tiny bit of a vintage flavor along with lace, organza, frills and that romantic rose color that I love.   The card started with the flower which I made on my flower loom using a strip of organza that I cut from a piece of yardage that I have.  After that, the lace and all the other elements fell into place.

I beefed up the rose by placing a bow behind it as well as adding a pearl pick and a fan folded doily.  I’m using one of the new sentiments from Our Daily Bread Designs called Porch.  I highlighted the sentiment using Spellbinders Nested Pennants.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread DesignsPorch
Paper: Anna Griffin, Coredinations, Strathmore
Ink: Vivid – Pink
Accessories: Spellbinders Nested Pennants, Riboon, Recollection Pearls, Lace, Doily

Thanks for stopping by to see me, I’ll see you soon!!

    Becca,
I rarely use big florals in card making – keep them for scrapbooking and larger format projects, however, I have a huge stash of Anna Griffin papers. Just love her vintage florals. I recognized this one immediately. I love how you have added the aged fan behind the bow to give it a more vintage feel. Beautiful.

Do you mail the ones with big bows? I always try to keep my cards at 1/4″ thickness for that reason. It’s so expensive to mail things that are unusual shapes or thicknesses.
