He Has Put a New Song in Our Hearts

I opted to go with darker colors today and I’m using an older Cuttlebug Folder, but a classic – Swiss Dots.  I think that I use Swiss Dots more than the rest.  The main card is layered with blue shimmery cardstock and is popped up over a card base that is Fabriano Acquarello Watercolor paper.  I cut a square frame using a Sizzix die cut and masked the sentiment line by line to stamp it around the square.  Stamped the ornate bird, cut it out and popped it up in the center of the frame.  I then punched a strip with a border punch then manually embossed design and embellished with pearls.  Lastly I embellished the top card corner with a piece of velvet ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:

Paper:  Fabriano Acquarello Watercolor, The Paper Company
Ink:  Versamagic – Night Sky, Red Magic
Accessories: Ribbon, Pearls, Fiskar Border Punch, Sizzix Square Frame, Lasting Impressions Border template

Your work is most inspiring. I have all the tools and materials, but haven’t been doing any crafting for the last year or so. I’m bookmarking your website so I can keep that inspiration going.

Thanks to my friend, Barbara, for passing on your link.
