Someones Having a Baby and Weekly Inspiration

Baby Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Ornamental Crest and Spellbinders Marcheline Plume - see full supply list at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=32589Sweet friends, one of my dear friends is having a baby.  We already know what it is going to be so no need to wait to start showering them with beautiful joy to signal the lovely life event.  I wanted an easy card but also one with the signature layering style I’ve called my own over the years. You can do it too – the design of the dies makes it easy.  My dies are fairly light and airy and lend themselves to stacking – I start out by pulling two dies that have the same types of curves and where one is considerably smaller than the other. Today I picked Marcheline Plume to go on top because it is quite a bit smaller. The second die that I made into a hinged card is Ornamental Crest. Just two dies, that’s it. I picked Quietfire Design – The Moment A Child is Born because it fit my occasion to a ‘t’ and because this lovely was in my mailbox today!

Here are the steps to make this simple and quick card:
1.  Create your hinged card base using the hinge technique
2.  Stamp sentiment high on your center panel
3.  Add second die on top (it needs an aperture)
4.  Add bow, pearls and flower.

The hinge technique is –> HERE.

Beautiful selection of cards. I am loving the new baby card. I saw a Victorian valentine card recently and your card brought it to mind – the lace, but with a modern twist. Love it!
