Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for March 2019 - Spun Blessings Oval Die - Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using this Spellbinders Die can be found at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p= 34810
Sweet friends, I’m back to share a little card I had in my mind using the March Die of the Month and also in celebrational of International Women’s Month.   When you look at the die, it’s easy to think that it is “just” a background die, right.  Wrong :-)  I designed it to be cut up so that all the parts and pieces can be used for embellishment.  We’ve had fun all month slicing and dicing the die up and today I’m coming to you with a shaped card.

Shaped Cards

I’ve always loved shaped cards because of their uniqueness.  I achieved this look by cutting two panels but one of the panels is cut with a hinge.  You can see my video for that technique ——–> HERE.  The center column in the design is perfect for a sentiment so I cut an additional one in pink.  That leaves a sweet little space in the back for a little note – like thank you.

Speaking of thank you, thank you for joining us as we introduced The Gilded Age.  It’s a collection that is close to my heart and I’ve loved using it!!  There is more to come this month with the collection but in the meantime, let’s get to some winners.

The hurricane saga continues for me.  I’ve not been able to move back home yet, but I think (hope) all the remaining answers will come soon.  It’s been the most unexpected journey for me.  Even though it has been difficult, I believe with all my heart that there is a lesson in this journey.  I think it was an event to wake me up; I see it as a journey of letting go of the old and bravely searching for the new.  At times I’ve been reluctant to look ahead because it’s easy to get into a comfort zone, it’s my cocoon of safety.  In fact, for the last six months I’ve felt vulnerable every.single.day.    I have to remind myself over and over that “que sera, sera.”  I’m where I’m supposed to be right now – comfortable or not.  I thank you so much for continuing to check up on me.

    Hi Becca,
I was just wondering a week or so ago how you were making out with your house and the insurance. They sure don’t mind taking your money when the premium comes due, but then kinda a different story when it omes to payout. God Bless and continue to keep your chin up!!
I got my die last week and have not had a chance to play much as I am doing therapy 3 days a week for the lumph0dema. Just started las week. Camping this weekend and I didn’t bring any crafting with me. Will check it out on Monday night and see what happens. Congrats to winners!!
    Hugs to you.

Hi Becca! I am sure I am one of many of your fans and want to let you know that I just love, love, love, your dies!! Did I tell you and I just love , love, love your dies?? Please continue to create such beautiful pieces so that we, your fans, can enjoy them while we create too. One question I have is that I was wondering if you have ever thought of making a die of a baby girl shoe (bootie) and one for a baby boy. I tried creating one off of a patterns I found on the web but they just didn’t have that finished look when I was done. The idea was a cute one but kind of messy to undertake.I think having a die would make it much easier, what do you think? Thank you for everything you have contributed to crafting and I look forward to what you’ll be showing us next.ReplyCancel

Where are you living now?? I live in Crestview and thank goodness that horrible hurricane missed us. Best of luck in getting back into your home real soon. I am sure you miss it immensely and just want your life back to normal. Best of luck and thanks for all your creative inspiration. I have been watching your videos for years and have learned a lot. I am an avid scrapper and card maker and have gotten many comments on my cards for my friends and family using your dies and ideas. I remember watching your videos back when Martha Stewart punches were the BIG THING!! I have all of her corner punch sets, and other punch sets she came out with. I don’t use them as often as I used to because I like DIES better these days. Thanks again and best of luck getting back into your house ASAP.ReplyCancel

I happened to see your response and just felt led to comment. If we believe in God we can not believe in luck. Either you believe God is in charge or luck is in charge. Wishing good luck is a phrase I grew up with and I was really burdened to stop using it and to gently remind others this. I pass this on out of love and I hope it is received this way.
      God bless…DeniceReplyCancel

Amen. Nothing is just luck. All good things are blessings from God.

That is a beautiful card, Becca!! Light and airy with a charming sentiment. Thank you for the inspiration!
I’ve been keeping you and so many in 850 in my prayers following Michael. The devastation is unimaginable. The recovery long and slow and frustrating.
    May God bless you richly!ReplyCancel

    Dear, Becca,
Thank you for continuing to encourage us to make hinged cards. I just love them, I watch your videos and think, “I could do that!” and yet I haven’t given it a try. I think that’s gonna change. This die not only does the ‘heavy lifting’ – it does it all (well, maybe doesn’t tie gorgeous bows!-wink). Uncomplicated elegance!
I appreciate the update on your displacement. Seeing you looking so fantastic and marveling at your unbounded creativity, it’s easy to forget the difficult journey you’ve had these last 6 months. You certainly are modeling for us what “amazing grace” looks like. I hope you are strengthened by the thoughts and prayers of all of us who love and care about you.
    Love & blessings,
    SandyReplyCancel
