Shabby Chic

Hi there blog friends!!   It’s been a great week for me in the studio and I’m back with another new set from JustRite Stampers called Shabby Chic!!  This set combined with those from the past two days are quite a new flavor for JustRite and I absolutely love the change!  How awesome that the three sets mix and match and all fit within the same theme.  So for my card today, I shed the pink and picked up maroon – it almost seems like an old world look so I pulled out a little more metal accents than usual (all of my metal embellishments and beads were purchased at Michaels).

From the top down, my medallion is Spellbinders Labels Fourteen layered on top of Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents layered on top of Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles,  For the full width of the card I used Spellbinders Lace Doily Accents layered on top of  Spellbinders Classic Scallops.

I found these very unique head pins at Michaels and with all the swirls, I thought it would be a great embellishment with a couple of pearls threaded on.  By the way, the clear piece on the bottom is an earring backing (also purchased at Michaels).  For my second pin I used a Tim Holtz memo pin, added a jump ring and added a dangling bead.

SUPPLIES I USED

    Becca –

Gorgeous cards this week. You truly have a gift for combining colors, elements, and embellishments.

Also wanted to say how wonderful it is to have you “back in the saddle” this week… not that you don’t have every right to take time away from blogging. But you were missed. A day without a Becca creation is like a day without sunshine!

Thanks, as always, for sharing with us.ReplyCancel

Another stunner Becca!!!! I love the layering you used on the medallion – fabulous, and the rich colors are so old world.
Becca, if you ever get a chance, I would love to see how you organize your copic collection. I have tried several methods, but somehow none of them are really working for me. Your organization skills are always wonderful and I know you must have a more convenient method. Thanks.
