Seize the Day

Hi there blog friends!!  This is my second post today, you know I have to get my Mojo Monday on!!  Since I have another hop going on today too, I’m setting the time back on this a little bit so that it will appear second.  This is the sketch for Mojo Monday 186.  I love doing the sketches because I have to do them fairly quickly so that I can still have time to run my errands for the day.

I’m keeping it brief but I pretty much stayed true to the sketch.  For the round element I substituted a shirred or gathered flower that I had been playing around with.  I pulled out some of my fav K & Company paper and an embossing plate to add some texture to the card.  The sentiment is framed by Spellbinders Lacey Squares.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Wordsworth – Seize the Day
Paper: K & Company, Bazzill
Ink: Adirondack – Denim
Accessories: Spellbinders Lacey Squares, EK Success Border Punch, Recollections Gems, The Paper Studio Rhinestone, Ribbon, Gold Cord, Gold Ribbon

Thanks for peeking in!!! See ya tomorrow!

Great card. Like your take on the Mojo sketch and colors you used. I really like the texture on the solid blue piece. Is that done with the embossing plate or is it the way the card stock came? If it is an embossing plate, could you please tell me the company that makes it? Thanks.ReplyCancel
